Prologue

Logan Elias Huntzberger is the son of Shira and Mitchum Huntzberger. He graduated from Yale six months ago. He was Rory Gilmore’s boyfriend. They broke up when he asked her to marry him. He loved her very much, in fact he still does but he doesn’t want to admit it because it hurts to much.

Rory and Logan met a few years ago. She was with her friend Marty drinking a coffee and talking about their summer. At first he didn’t notice her and he started to talk to Marty. Actually he was very rude to him, he treated him like a servant. Rory and Logan had an argument the next day after that they became friends. She met his friends he met hers.

His friends are Colin, Finn and Stephanie. He met them when they were all three. He met them at a society function. They’ve been friends ever since. Colin and Stephanie are dating since freshman year. Finn is always drunk for the people who don’t know him. Logan thinks about his friends that they are his family. A few months ago he thought about Rory the same thing but she left him. After Rory turned him down he moved to San Francisco. In San Francisco all he did was work until one day he couldn’t stand the memory of Rory and he went to a bar where he found a tall, leggy brain dead blonde. He took her home and he asked her to be his girlfriend a few days later. They’ve been together ever since. Her name is Anne and she is a gold digger but also a very god actress. She wants to make Logan to ask her to marry him. Logan’s friends realized that is a gold digger but they don’t know how to make Logan realize it. They never liked her. They know that their friend is with her because he thinks he loves her but he is in love with the idea of love. Logan in the back of his mind he knows that he’ll never be able to love someone like her loved Rory, his Ace. Even if she marries someone else she’ll always be his Ace.

Her friends are: Lane and Paris. Lane lives with her husband in Stars Hallow the town where Rory uses to live. Lane is a drummer in a rock band. Lane is the daughter of a very strict woman. Paris is Rory’s friend since they were in high school. They were roommates at Yale. Paris is now married to her ex-editor of the Yale Daily News, Doyle. Rory wanted so much to marry Logan. When he gave her the engagement ring she tried it and in that moment she realized that she liked the idea of being Mrs. Logan Huntzberger. Rory always did what her mother wanted and she knew that her mother thought that she was to young to get married.

Rory regrets her decision ever day. She would turn time if she could. She misses Logan everyday since they broke up. She started a new job in New York and she is happy with her job. She tries to forget Logan but it doesn’t matter how much she tries it she can’t forget him.

He is the love of her life and no matter where he is; with who he is she’ll always love him. He’ll always be her Master and Commander.

A month after Rory and Logan broke up she decided to go and see him. She was sitting in a taxi in San Francisco in front of his house, the house that was supposed to be theirs. Rory saw a blonde opening the door of the house and she thought that she was at the wrong address but after two minutes she saw Logan and the girl leaving the house hand in hand. In that moment she realized she was too late. He already found somebody else, somebody to replace her. He moved on and that was killing her.

Rory never knew but Anne saw her looking at her and Logan. Anne recognized the girl, she saw the girl in photo Logan kept hidden in his wallet. She asked him about it but he never answered her.

Colin, Finn and Stephanie kept in touch with Rory, but they never told her that Logan moved on because they didn’t want to see their friend more heart broken than she already was. At first right after the break up they stopped talking to Rory but she explained everything to them and they understood. They haven’t told Logan that they still talk to his ex-girlfriend. They want Rory and Logan back together. They are meant to be.

After Rory came back from San Francisco she was upset because of Logan but most of all she was upset on her friends because they didn’t told her that Logan moved on with his life. They explained to her their reasons and she understood. A few days later she send him a letter that only Colin knew about.

The letter never got to Logan because Anne found it. She still keeps the letter in her nightstand in her and Logan’s bedroom. Logan asked her to move in with him two weeks after they started dating. Logan was used to share his bed with Rory and she didn’t want to go to sleep alone so he asked Anne to move in with him.

Rory tried to send him another letter when she saw that Logan hasn’t answer the last one. The same thing happened to this letter that happened to the last one. Anne took it and she hid it.

Now six month later Logan still keeps the rig he wanted to be on Rory’s finger next to her wedding band. He decided to ask Anne to marry him. He saw her one night looking at engagement rings on the Internet and he thought that she printed a photo and she hid it somewhere. At first he looked through her clothes and after that he decided to look in her nightstand. He never knew what she kept there, he never looked and almost always the drawer was locked. Today was his lucky day because the drawer was opened. The only thing he found there was two letters. The letters were opened. He noticed on the envelope that his name was written on the letters. He recognized the writing as Rory’s. He read the letters and then he realized that he still loves her and that he never loved Anne.
