Chapter 8

A year passed and Rory and Logan haven’t heard from Anne again. They couldn’t believe that time could pass so quickly; it was like yesterday when they first met. At first they had a few fights; the beginning of their new relationship was a bit hard for both of them. In the time they were apart too many things happened and they had to understand that what happened happened and they can’t change the past. They talked about everything what happened and they slowly forgave each other for everything. It took time and effort but now they were happy and together. Rory never told Logan but she was scared that maybe he will never ask her to marry him again because the last time he did she turned him down.

With the help of their friends they finally let the past go and they started from scratch.

Colin and Stephanie were still going strong; she is five months pregnant with their first child. They bought a new apartment in NY to be closer to Logan and Finn.

Colin was still an ass most of the time, but all of them finally accepted that he was never going to change and they accepted him just like he was. Colin is still guarding his wallet from Stephanie’s hands because when she is in possession of his black card she is unstoppable. Colin’s biggest fear is that their kid, or kids if they have more in the future, they will be just like their mother a shopaholic. With node than one like Stephanie he will go broke.

Finn and Rosemary got married shortly after Rory got out from the hospital. Now rosemary was eight months pregnant and was about to pop out those kids. Yes kids she is pregnant with twins. Two baby girls and Finn secretly hopes that they are going to be redheads just like his Rose. With three beautiful redheads in his house he would be completely happy. Finn is very protective of rose and he took time off from work when she reached her seventh month because he wanted to be there for her 24/24 hours a day in case she needed something.

Logan, Colin and Finn where now at Tiffany’s looking for the perfect ring for Rory. Even though Logan still has the other ring he wants to leave the past in the past so he decided to buy his beautiful girlfriend a new ring.

“Mate is you done yet?” Finn asked in a bored voice. They have been looking at rings for the past three hours.

“If you want to go you can ...” Logan stopped abruptly because he finally spotted the perfect ring

“I can what? Mate?” Finn asked

“Look!” Logan said pointing to the ring

“wow.” The two others said

“Yes, indeed wow. I want that one” Logan said to the sales woman

“Immediately sir.”

They paid and left the store.

The three woman where buying baby clothes. Stephanie and Rose where surprised when Rory choose some clothes for her to buy and they quickly became suspicious.

“Rory?” Stephanie said

“Yes Stephanie.”

“Are you pregnant?” Rose asked because she couldn’t stop herself

“Yes, but please don’t tell anyone, not even your husbands, okay?”

“Okay. Does Logan know?” Stephanie asked

“Not yet. I will tell him this weekend when we are going away.”

“Where are you going?” Rosemary asked

“I don’t know yet. It’s a surprise.” Rory told her best friends

“Man when are you going to propose?” Coli n asked his best friend

“This weekend when we are there. I know that Rory is scared because she thinks I am never going to ask her again and I have to admit that I am scared as well.”

“Why are you scared?” Finn asked

“That she will say no again.” Logan said quietly

“That’s insane.” Colin said

“That girl would die for you. She loves you more than ever.”

“I know.” Logan said more calmed

“Honey are you home?” Logan asked when he entered the apartment

“Yes. Just a minute” Rory said hiding all her bags under the bed

When Rory came out of the bedroom Logan couldn’t believe that she was his and that she will be his forever. He couldn’t wait for them to start the rest of their lives together.

A few days passed and Rory and Logan were boarding his private jet.

“So where are we going?” Rory asked curios

“Why?” Logan said

“Just asking. I am curios.” Rory stated

“Haven’t you heard curiosity killed the cat?”

“But satisfaction brought it back. Besides curiosity never killed this cat before so why start now. I am too cute to die.”

“There you are right. You are too cute to die and I wouldn’t want you to die.” Logan said seriously

Later

They landed in San Francisco and they took a cab to Logan’s house there.

“Logan what are we doing here?”

“You will see.” Logan said and he led her in the backyard under the avocado tree.

“So this is the famous tree.”

“Yes this is it.”

“Logan really what are we doing here?”

Logan and Rory were now sitting on the grass under the three.

“Rory I loved you since the first time I saw you. I know that I was being an ass to your friend and I didn’t want to admit that I like you back then until you approached me at your grandparents wow renewal. But I did, call it love at first sight. We got thru so many things but we are here. Will you please make me the honor of being my wife?” Logan said

“Logan... I... yes. A million time yes.” Rory screamed with tears in her eyes.

“Thank you God.” Logan said to himself

Logan put the ring other finger.

“Wow, Logan it’s gorgeous.”

“Just like you.”

“But I have a question, what happened with the other ring?” Rory asked

“Nothing happened with it, but it will happen. Came on.”

Logan took Rory to a place he usually came when he lived in San Francisco. It was somewhere up on a rock (I don’t know if there is such thing, but please go with it.).

“Logan it beautiful here” Rory said looking down at the ocean

“I know. I used to come here to think about you. Here” Logan said handling her other ring

“What am I supposed to do with it?” Rory asked confused

“Throw it, throw it away. Let the past in the past because today we start fresh.”

They both held the ring with their fingers and they tossed the ring together. The ring fell into the blue water.

“Thank you.” Rory said

“For what? “

“For everything.” Rory said and she kissed him

Rory and Logan decided that it was best to sell the house and they left to L.A because they didn’t want to be there anymore.

Rory left but this time she left with her heart, this time she took her heart with her. Her heart wasn’t left behind in San Francisco anymore.
