Hiya! This is my first W.I.T.C.H. fanfiction and I live off reviews so if you have any tips or comments then PLEASE post a review, it keeps me going! AB.
Disclaimer: I do not own W.I.T.C.H. coz Disney owns it, but I do own some of the plot, Izzie and her family (just them in this chap). I also do not own Cat in the Hat (you'll find out).
Chapter 1: Calm Before the Storm
In the middle of a normal town, in a normal street, living in a normal house, a girl sat, unaware that in a few days, she will encounter something that will change her life...
"Izzie, dinner's ready!" The girl's mother called. The girl's name was Isobel Baylor, she was fourteen years old, she had waist-length brown hair, blue eyes, a decent figure and good grades.
"What is it?" shouted Isobel (everyone called her Izzie), from the top of the stairs.
"Chinese, I got your favourite," Mrs. Baylor had replied, "I have noodles!"
Izzie paused and finally slumped down the stairs, she has been sleeping since she got home from her school trip to a zoo, and had had a very strange dream.
When Izzie walked into the kitchen, she heard the 'Cat in the Hat' music coming from the living room. Her younger twin brothers, James and Dennis were both ten. Izzie has an older sister, Celine, at sixteen, who was out with her boyfriend Max.
Izzy and Celine both got their brunette genes from their father, the Terrible Two (as Izzie liked to call them) had both gotten their mops of red from their mother (except the mother had a long glossy lid, the twins with short messy heads).
During dinner, Izzie mentioned her dream,
"It was very strange. I was in my room, and a light was coming from the window. Standing outside were two women and a boy, wearing odd clothes. Very old-fashioned. They looked up at me and then I woke up. I don't get it!"
"Maybe something you saw on TV?" her father suggested. Izzie shrugged. It definitely wasn't something she saw on TV, but she didn't like to speculate too much on a dream.
"Dad, are we going out to the forest tomorrow?"
"Yes, honey. We need to find that bird. You gonna be ready?"
Izzie's father was a photographer, and Izzie liked to join him, as she wanted to go into photography after she left school. She loved going out with her Dad because he treated her like an adult, and respected her opinions and ideas.
Their latest project is to photograph woodpeckers in their natural habitat.
As the Terrible Two made a few comments on how boring photography is, and asking their mother to make cookies for desert the following day, Izzie rolled her eyes and finished her dinner, dropping her chopsticks onto her plate as she took it out to the kitchen.
When everyone had finished their Chinese, the family sat down to watch another film. It was a normal ending to a normal day. But as Izzie snuggled in her warm bed that night she never knew that something so not normal would happen the next day, that it would change her life.
Forever.
