Chapter One: The Wizards Of Reverse Hills
“I swear it. They said there is a wizard that collects people’s hearts. He won’t give you you’re heart till you pay a price! I heard a bunch of Wholes talking about it!” Demyx yelled to Xemnas.
“The percentage of a wizard having our hearts is .001 to a million,” Xemnas said, sinking down in his chair.
“Let’s check it out anyway!” Axel yelled, “It doesn’t hurt to check!”
“Do whatever you’d like. I don’t care,” Xemnas growled.
That was the conversation three days ago. They now stood before a medium size broken down house located in at the largest ditch (Reverse Hills. Get it?) in Reverse Hills. There were peculiar creatures roaming around the building. There were a bunch of Heartless among the creatures.
“What the hell? Is this the place?” Axel asked.
“Yes,” Zexion said, making his way down the ditch.
They saw the door open and a boy wearing a long black cloak, and a black wizard hat with strange designs ran over to one of the heartless. “Alright you, give me that heart,” The boy said. The Heartless handed him the heart. “Good Spiffy!” He hugged it.
“Did he just-” Larxene began.
“He just hugged a Heartless! And it didn’t even try to attack him. Who is he!?” Axel yelled.
“He’s the wizard of Reverse Hills!” Demyx yelled. They watched as the boy ran back into the building. They followed quickly behind Zexion, to make sure they weren’t left behind.
When they made it into the shop, it was dim. There were multiple candles lit that gave off different colored flames. There were jars of weird things, one of which looked like a human hand. Demyx went to touch it, when he heard a voice say, “May I help you?”
They looked over at the counter to see the boy sitting on a stool behind it. He was reading a book, and writing something down. “Don’t get many customers very often,” He said scanning all of them. “Anyway, what are you looking for?”
“Our hearts,” Zexion said making his way through the crowd of Organization members. “We heard that you collect uh… strange items.”
“Then you heard right,” The boy smiled, “I raise heartless to find hearts. They’ve found some extraordinary hearts while searching.”
“Was that you who was hugging the Heartless?” Axel asked.
“Nah, that was my brother,” The boy said.
“Special hearts?” Zexion asked.
“The special hearts?” The boy said, reaching for something in his pocket. The Organization nodded their heads. “Ian! Bring out the hearts!” He yelled.
“Eh… Whatever…” They heard a lazy voice come from the other side of one of the doors.
“My whole family has practiced wizardry for generations. My brother Ethan was supposed to be the successor of the shop, but he disappeared;” The boy laughed, “Now my twin brother and I are the successors.”
The door swung open, and a very similar looking boy, came out with a cart of glowing hearts. The Organization stared in awe. It was their hearts. “Here you go, Glenn.”
“These are our hearts,” Xemnas said, “Can we have them back?”
“Unfortunately, you didn’t read the sign outside. This is like every other store. You can’t have it back, even if it is yours. You must pay a price. Not in money, gold, or silver, but in something that valuable to you,” Glenn said, leaning over the counter.
“But they’re-“ Demyx began.
“Finders keepers!” Glenn and Ian said in unison. Ian said it with less enthusiasm, though.
“That’s how things role in here. You must pay a price,” Glenn shrugged, “And as stated before, an item of value to you.”
“You,” Ian said pointing at Demyx, “What’s your favorite thing?”
“Uhm… Uh… My sitar,” He said nervously.
“Hand it over,” Glenn smiled.
“What!?” Demyx whined.
“Give it up!” Glenn said.
“Oh… Oh… fine,” Demyx whimpered making his sitar appear. Glenn raised his eyebrow.
“I know what you guys are,” Glenn said, getting off the stool. “You guys are nobodies! All of you have a weapon, so hand it over.”
“But-” The others groaned.
“Here’s your heart Demyx,” Ian said handing him a jar with a blue heart. Demyx handed the sitar to him, with much difficulty. “Now if you try to call your weapon back- it won’t work. This place is bound by magic. Once traded, it stays here.”
“If we fight you for it,” Axel began, “Will we able to get them back for free?”
“Go ahead and try,” Glenn smirked, “Doubt you’ll get very far, though.”
“Alright then you obnoxious whole, I challenge you to a fight! If I win we get our hearts back for free!” He said making his chakrams appear.
“Eh, whatever,” Glenn yawned, “If I win, I get a second payment from all those who choose to fight me. That one right there-” He pointed at Demyx, “Already paid. So therefore he doesn’t have to pay a second price. Come at me all at once, I don’t care.”
Most of the members smiled deviously. Each of them took out their weapon. Demyx sat down next to Ian.
“Hold it. Not in the shop,” He said walking out of the door.
“Good luck!” Ian waved, “You’ll probably have to play by his rules.” He turned at Demyx, “Anyway that song is by a band called Linkin Park. I went to Earth once, and I heard them live. It was amazing. I wanna go there again…”
“Do you really think you can beat twelve of us?” Axel asked.
“Um… Yeah. Just because I’m a wizard doesn’t mean I can’t fight hand to hand,” He smiled, “Since this is my shop, we’ll play by my rules. Make me fall to my knees.” He counted in his head.
“BEGIN!” He yelled.
