Robin has just had her heart stomped on for the last time by Jason Morgan. After catching him in bed with Elizabeth, Robin realizes that she cannot be with a man like Jason. After not leaving Jason a note, Robin moves out of her apartment. Even though she knows she will see him around, she just needs to move on with her life. Patrick’s been back in General Hospital where he grew up as a child and has been working there for six months. Things have just begun to get interesting when he meets the new female doctor, Dr. Robin Scorpio. Will Robin give him the time of day?
Author’s Note: I will be updating this chapter more. I promise that I will try my very best to update more. I am still in the process of moving, which takes forever, and I have been updating my other stories more than this story. So, I have decided that the next chapter will be when Robin goes to Paris. Either the next chapter or the one after that, I will bring in Patrick. Anyways, enjoy the chapter as I always say.

2:15 A.M.; February 21, 2008; Emily’s Apartment
Robin was lying down on her side of the mattress, getting comfortable finally after turning and tossing for about two hours. This was one of the most horrible nights she’s had and she was so exhausted. It didn’t matter that she was off of work for the next two days. All she wanted was to get some rest, especially after watching Patrick finally work his hands in the operating room. She had never imagined that anyone could look so sexy cutting into a man’s brain, but for some odd reason, Patrick Drake did. She really felt so ashamed but she really didn’t care.
She had spent a few hours with Patrick again, as she couldn’t help herself. They had spend every, single day with each other or either with Nikolas and Emily. Tonight, Patrick and Robin had played a few rounds of Uno, just wanting to relish in the moment. Not having to worry about Jason or Elizabeth had been so hard because Jason still continued to beg for her to come back to her.
“Robin, you cannot be serious about dating that doctor?” Jason asked, as he crossed his arms over his chest, and he stared right at her with hurt written across his face. “He’s not good for you and you should know that. He just sleeps around and –“
“Like you’re good for me?” Robin laughed, as she placed her hands on her hips, and she was so relieved she was inside of the Nurses Station where Jason could not see her pregnant bump. Then again, she was wearing her doctor’s coat. “Patrick’s twice the man you will ever be and you’re just mad that I am moving on with my life.”
“I said I was sorry about Elizabeth. It will not happen again, Robin,” Jason sighed, as he reached out to her, but Robin stepped away, moving to the computer she had been previously using. “We were so good together and you know it. No one will ever have what we once had.”
“It definitely will not happen again,” Robin said with a sigh, as she typed away on the computer, and she looked up from the computer. “I just need you to leave me alone. I know you’re still seeing her even though she’s married to Lucky. I know you don’t like the man but to seduce his wife to sleep with you is even low for you, Jason. I won’t say anything to Lucky, but if you don’t leave me alone –“
“Robin, don’t finish that sentence,” Patrick said, as he placed his hand on her lower back when he approached her, and he looked at Jason. “When will you get it through your thick head that Robin does not want or need you? She has me.”
“And that’s exactly why she needs me, especially with your track record,” Jason glared at Patrick with his mesmerizing, blue eyes, as he ran a hand through his dark hair. “You’re just going to hurt her –“
“Like you did?” Patrick snapped, as he stepped in front of Robin. “I would never ever cheat on Robin. I mean, what were you thinking when you slept with Liz of all people? Is she really what you were looking for? I really should be thanking you because you gave me the chance of a lifetime. I have the most perfect woman and it’s all because you fucked up, Morgan!”
“Patrick!” Robin gasped, as she placed her hand on his shoulder, and she was starting to get worried. “I think you have said enough. Please stop… for me?”
“Fine,” Patrick grumbled, as he pulled Robin back against his chest, and he glared at Jason. “I think that you need to leave before I call security.”
“Security can’t do –“
“Jason, what are you doing?” Alan sighed, as he ran a hand through his hair when he approached the Nurses Station. “I know you aren’t a doctor, so what are you doing?”
“Dad,” Jason sighed, as he shook his head in defeat. “Robin and I were talking until this pretty boy interrupted us.”
“Shucks, you think I am pretty?” Patrick smirked, as he looked over at Jason. “If I known better, I would start to believe that you’re so into –“
“Jason,” Alan interrupted with a sigh leaving his lips, as he looked at his son, and he placed the chart he had been holding down onto the countertop of the Nurses Station. “I really think that you need to get going. I need Robin and Patrick for a consult, anyway.”
“Robin, we’re not done,” Jason informed her, as he looked at Patrick with a shake of his head. “And you need to stay out of conversations that are only between Robin and myself for now on.”
“Robin, I think you might need to leave for Paris early. I don’t trust Jason with his little remark,” Alan admitted with a sigh when his son was out of view and he looked at Robin. “I will make sure you get your full penmanship for working here but you need… to go to Paris and soon.”
So, here she was, in the bed that Emily was allowing her to stay in, tossing and turning because she was leaving for Paris in less than five days. Alan had already bought her ticket. She had also found out that Alan had called the hospital she was going to work at and the chief of staff had told Alan that he would pay for her place when she would arrive in Paris.
To Robin, she felt like she was a problem, and she hated what Alan did. Sure, she knew he was being worried because Jason would try something crazy, but she hated how she had dated Jason. If she hadn’t, she would not have been in this predicament, anyway.
Hearing a knock at her bedroom door, she sighed heavily. Sitting up, she leaned back against the headboard of her bed, and she swiped her tongue across her bottom lip.
“Come in,” Robin called out, as she pulled the blanket over her lap, but her belly was sticking out from beneath it.
“Hey beautiful,” Patrick smiled, as he looked over at her in her direction when he opened the door, and then noticed the look on her face. “Robin, what’s the matter?”
“Nothing really, I just don’t really want to go yet, especially with us just beginning to get to know each other,” Robin admitted, as she ran a hand through her hair, and she watched him move into the bed, sliding under the covers.
“It’s really not that bad and you know that Alan is only looking out for you,” Patrick told Robin, as he pulled her close, and he slid his hand down to her belly where Daniel Aidan was kicking. “So, how’s your little boy doing this morning?”
“He’s doing pretty good, actually. I think he is fast asleep, though. With all the rolling around I have been doing, I would not blame him if he were asleep,” Robin said, as she looked up into his eyes. “I really am going to miss you when I leave, though.”
“Well, I will be with you in a matter of couple of weeks,” Patrick told her, as he continued to rub her belly slowly, keeping up the motions of his hand. “It still amazes me that we’re going to be together.”
“I couldn’t think of anything else better than that. I am going to be away from Jason, which is the main reason I was planning on moving to Paris, Patrick. At least your father will be there,” Robin said with a smile, as she placed her hand on top of Patrick’s that was on her belly. “How is your father doing, anyway?”
“Well, from what I hear, he’s been doing very well,” Patrick told her, as he gave her hand a squeeze, and he brought her hand up to his lips, kissing her knuckles lightly. “I told him that you were going to be coming to Paris and he has offered to pick you up if Brenda isn’t going to…”
“I wouldn’t want to intrude on –“
“He is the one that offered, babe, so if I were you, I would take it. After all, I don’t want you to be taking a cab. My father will be there to pick you up,” Patrick said with a smile, as he then leaned down to kiss her on her soft lips.
--
Jason grumbled, as he slammed the front door behind him, and he ran a hand messily through his hair. He just didn’t know what had gone wrong. He never ever expected that Robin would ever move away from him but she was, which was something he hadn’t liked at all.
“Jason, what’s the matter?” Elizabeth asked with a pout, as she ran a hand over her very evident pregnant belly, and she sighed happily.
Jason shook his head, as he moved around her. “Elizabeth, what the hell are you doing here? If you remember, you are married to Lucky.”
“That didn’t stop you before,” Liz pouted again, as she placed her hand on his shoulder, and she licked across her bottom lip. “I thought you would be happy to see me?”
“Liz, you’re just having my baby, and you’re married,” Jason said, as he walked over to the front door, and he opened it, staring right at her. “I think that it would be a good idea if you would go home to Lucky and the boys.”
“But Jason…”
“Go home, Liz!” Jason glared at her, as he ran a hand through his hair once again. “I am not in the mood for your pregnancy hormones tonight. I’ve already had a bad day.”
“You talked to Robin, didn’t you?” Liz asked, as she looked at Jason when she walked up to him, and when he did not say anything, she got her answer. “I cannot believe you are still talking to her, especially when I am the one that’s carrying your baby!”
“I will give this little girl everything she needs but what we had together… was just, sex,” Jason explained, as he opened the door wider.
“It was just sex to you, Jason?” Liz asked, as she crossed her arms over her chest, and she looked up into his blue eyes. “I cannot believe what I am hearing you say, baby.”
“Don’t call me that,” Jason said, as he put his hand on her lower back, and he gently pushed her out of his penthouse. “I don’t need or want you in my life.”
“But Jason –“ Liz began but Jason just shut the door in her face, which caused her mouth to drop open.
Jason sighed, as he walked over to the couch before he grabbed a picture of Robin and him off of the table to the left of the couch. He traced Robin’s face with his fingers, hating that he had actually lost the love of his life, and he wasn’t exactly sure what to do right now.
Closing his eyes, Jason leaned back against the couch.
“Have I really lost Robin to that damn doctor? Hell, he is just not good for her,” Jason mumbled, as he set the picture back on the table, and he then gave Carly a phone call.
After everything that Carly’s been through when she needed him, surely, Carly would listen to his ranting and all. He just needed his best friend right now.
6:13 P.M.; February 26, 2008; Metro Court
Robin pouted, as she sat in the lounge at the Metro Court, while Nikolas, Jax, and Emily boarded her things on the plane that was waiting for her on the roof. She had a few hours before she actually left but she was so sad about leaving her friends and family. Since Emily would be on vacation when her baby was supposedly to be due, she was so thankful because Emily was going to bring Nikolas with her.
“I really don’t want to leave today,” Robin said with a sigh, as she looked up into his eyes, and she placed both of her hands against his chest. “But I am just so happy that you are going to be here with me in a couple of weeks, baby.”
“Me too, Lovebug,” Patrick whispered, as he moved a strand of hair from her face, and he stood from the couch in the lobby he had been sitting in for the past half hour, helping her up to her feet. “How about we walk around the hotel?”
“Sounds like the experience of my life,” Robin joked, as she gave his hand a squeeze, and she leaned her body back against him. “So, do you have a surgery this afternoon?”
“Nope, I got the afternoon and night off, and on a Saturday,” Patrick laughed, as he ran a hand through his dark hair. “I want to spend as much time with you, as I can, gorgeous.”
Robin smiled, as she kissed his cheek, and she pressed the elevator panel up button. As much as she really didn’t want to leave, she knew that it was the only thing that she could do to protect her son. The last thing she needed was for him to get hurt because of Jason’s job.
“Hey Robin,” Sonny said, as he walked out of the elevator. “Do you think we can talk? I heard you were going away for a little bit.”
Robin sighed, as she saw Sonny, and she gave Patrick’s hand another squeeze. “If this has anything to do with Jason, I –“
“Robin, this doesn’t have anything to do with him. Well, not much, anyway,” Sonny said, as he looked in between Robin and Patrick. “It is nice seeing you again, Dr. Drake.”
“What do you have to say, Sonny?” Robin asked, as the three of them stepped into the elevator, and the doors closed when Patrick pressed the number nine button on the elevator panel.
“I want to say congratulations on your pregnancy,” Sonny said, as he looked over at her with a smile on his face. “Elizabeth came over, complaining yesterday, and it makes me wonder why Jason ruined the best thing that ever happened to him. I also know that this baby isn’t Patrick’s…”
Robin’s face suddenly got white. “Sonny, please don’t do –“
“Robin, Jason doesn’t deserve to know. You’re like a sister to me and Jason’s just a guy that works for me. The way he treated you was beyond of I don’t even know what to say. I also found out he’s still been sleeping with Elizabeth Spencer, anyway. Don’t worry… she’s going to lose everything,” Sonny said, as he placed a hand on her shoulder lightly. “And Jason won’t know what hit him.”
“Sonny… I don’t know what to say,” Robin said, as she looked over at him with a small, insecure smile on her face. “I never thought you would even be on my side of this whole drama.”
“Well, I can understand how and why you want to leave Port Charles. Give Brenda my condolences,” He said, as he turned to look at Patrick. “Take care of Robin when you arrive in Paris too.”
“How do you even know all of this information?” Patrick asked, as he looked over at Sonny when the elevator doors opened, and the three of them stepped out of the elevator.
“I have my ways, which you don’t need to know about,” Sonny chuckled, as he looked between the two, and then looked to Patrick. “I am going to believe that you are going to take very good care of her, right?”
“I will. I care about Robin very much,” Patrick said, as he looked over at Sonny carefully, and he had to admit that he was a bit shocked that his girlfriend and this mob man were friends.
“Well, I should get going. I will visit you sometime, Robin. Take very good care of you and this baby by eating and getting plenty of rest,” Sonny said, as he pulled Robin into a hug, and he patted her pregnancy bump gently. “Pregnancy suits you quite well, Robin. For my little sister, you definitely look amazing.”
Robin blushed, as she hugged Sonny back, and she took a step back. “Thank you very much, Sonny.”
As Sonny walked away from the two, Robin placed her hand back into Patrick’s, and she looked lovingly into his eyes.
“I never would have guessed that Sonny Corinthos and you were friends,” Patrick admitted, as he pulled Robin’s body against his, and he smiled when he felt her son kicking against his hand where he had set his hand in the middle of her belly.
“Yeah, we have been friends for too many years to count,” Robin admitted, as she placed one hand on his shoulder where the other hand slid upon his cheek, rubbing it softly. “He has always been there for me when Brenda or Emily weren’t. I am so grateful to have him in my life.”
“Aren’t you grateful about having me in your life too?” Patrick asked with a teasing grin, as he looked into her eyes, and he stroked her cheek lovingly.
“Of course I am. Without you, he would have probably found out about this baby,” Robin mumbled against his lips when she stood up on her tippy toes, and she fused her lips against Patrick’s gently, just wanting to savor in this moment right now.
All she wanted to do was to forget about her problems and bury her thoughts all about Patrick Drake.
