Well, with the first chapter call it a prologue, okay.
Aliens, The Fall of Humanity
Chapter One
Something is wrong...
After a week, the school remains closed. There is very little to do; after the closing, there was a storm that came in. Ever since then, there has been an eerie haze that covers the whole area. No one goes out anymore, all communication is over the phone, computer, or at the store, when they go to the store that is.
However today is different, Dennis is getting bored with the state of things. He decides to go on a walk. Though it is one o’clock it seems like latter. He decides to wear boots and for good reason. When he leaves he finds the ground saturated with water. Living in a lakeside home, the water is close to the boundaries of his home.
When he reaches the street, the drainage system is found to be clogged, he reaches down to clear what ever is blocking it, to see if he can get rid of some of this water. There is a slimy substance covering the square holes. His hand immediately recoils from the texture.
“Disgusting!” he exclaims.
He then hears something in the bushes. As his head turns to whatever is there, he seems to get knocked out. After some unknown amount of time, Dennis awakes to see his mother leaning over him.
“What happened?” he stutters.
The smiling grin of the mother soon starts to fade, and tears start to consume her eyes, such a watery expression.
“What’s wrong, mom?” he asks, now with a perplexed expression.
Snapping out of it, his mother says “nothing, nothing, I was so worried. When I saw you, lying on the street, I panicked. I grabbed you and carried you inside, that’s all. I was worried, now what happened?”
“Nothing I can’t remember, a gooey slimy thing, a noise…” his voice trails on, he can’t remember anything.
“Well, Dianne called, she was worried about you, I told her to call back later, your brother had a fit. But he’s sleeping now.” She said rather plainly.
“Dianne called? How long was I out mom?” he asked
“About 2 hours- But that’s nothing to worry about” still holding a warm expression, though it is still plainly visible that her face was battered by waves of tears.
Dennis still was thinking two hours... when his train of thought was broken by the TV. “A wave of disappearances” as it was called as swept the upper part of Massachusetts. “Over 40 people are missing, and more are being reported, school staff of the small town of Wilmington have also been announced missing” His thoughts shifted to the telephone, which was now on its third ring.
Well my welcomed viewers, what do you think? Any criticism is welcomed, but be nice, okay.
