A bright sun was over head a small arcade, a teen aged girl of 15 looked at the poster of the new virtual reality game, and it allows the player to physically enter any video game known to man. But every kid that plays it loses that game and is suck in it permanently…
But this girl was a long haired blond, with bright blue eyes; she wore a white jacket that was unzipped showing a light blue tank top, jean pants, sandals, sandglasses and a light purple scarf around her neck. “Hmmm… This game I wonder what’s its like….” She entered the arcade as a few teens ran off freaked out. She ignored the looks on their faces, heading for the game. The game screen was rather large, the game had only one virtual reality helmet. She picked up the helmet after putting in one fifty into the game, soon other teens and kid gathered.
“Oh, the Gamer Gamer Queen is gonna try?”
“I wonder what game she’ll try…”
“An RPG, Shining Force, Reconstruction of the Dark Dragon.” She replied putting the helmet, her body began to be enveloped by a light blue light and sucked into the TV screen. She look around her self, she saw many screens floating around.
“Sweet” she smiled before glowing again before passing out. When she came too something wasn’t right, how? She wasn’t wearing her own clothes, her chest was lighter and her hands were gloved in armor. And she was surrounded by children from the Shining Force game. By doing the math she figured out she was in Rudo, the city of children and in the bed next to her was Max, the leader of the Shining Force, who just woke up.
“Oh goodie! Yore awake!” one smiled
“...Where are we? ...What is this place?” Max asked.
“Oh good! You're better. Your boat crashed on the shore. You were half-dead before...But you seem okay now.”
“What about the others...? Is everyone okay?”
“Yeah. They're all resting at HQ. Oh yes! You two better thank Karin. She was the one who found you guys.”
“Alright.” The Gamer Gamer Queen got up, and waked over to Karin with Max.
“Hello” the brown
haired girl smiled. “I'm Karin. I'm the leader of Rudo.
Your
friends told me about you.
You're searching for the Legacy of the
Gods, right?
Do you have any leads?”
“Well... I thought we did, but it turns out we didn't...not yet...” Max frowned
“I know something!” The Gamer Gamer Queen interrupted
“Really?!” Max was surprised beyond belief, a girl around his age knew about the Legacy of Gods.
“The Book of Secrets...There's a link between that and Dark Dragon. The book contains the spell used to seal away the Dark Dragon. So if anyone had that book, they'd be able to break the seal and let the Dragon out. That's why the book is guarded by-”
“By what?!” Max questioned.
“Let me join the Shining Force and I’ll tell ya all ya need to know.”
“What?”
“If I join, I’ll tell ya all you need to know. And by all I mean all.”
“Even my past?!”
“Maybe” Khrystie smiled skipping off. “YOU’LL NEED TO CATCH ME FIRST!”
“GET BACK HERE!”
“Ya’know… you could talk to Krin, my little sister. She spends all her time reading old records, so she'll probably know something…” Karin sweatdropped.
“She May know about the dragon but that girl knows all about my past!” Max yelled over is shoulder as he raced out of the building. “I’m gonna catch her!”
“Geez, Teens…”
---
And so the Gamer Gamer Queen went to a weapon shop, why? She knew Max would recruit her anyway, but she dint want to be just a stand by. She wanted to help.
“A sword?” The shop owner asked “For a girl like you? Yore only, like, 15!”
“What do want payment or not?”
“Yeah, well…”
“Then sell me the sword.”
“Fine.” The girl hand over a satchel of Gold coins, which she got for selling her most valuable items, a gold bracelet with an emerald and her name, engraved in it, as well a Pearl necklace from her mother.
“Thank you.” She took her sword and left.
“There you are!” Max attempted to grab the girl but she hopped on to a near by roof.
“Try again.” She smiled. She for unknown reasons she liked goofing with Max.
---
“ONE HOUR AND THIRY MINUTES!” Max screamed “AND I HAVENT FOUND HER?!?!” He was pissed beyond belief, he had looked over the whole town, twice and he still couldn’t find that gal but he did find two new Shining Force members. He turned his head and eyed the base. “She’s hiding in there…” Indeed she was, talking to the other girls just as the guys were packing up.
“Yore evil…” he hissed.
“Nope, yore just slow…”
“…” He just merely twitched.
“Let’s move out.” Nova, the fish like man interrupted. The team made it outside the gates, where enemies were waiting for them.
“Graagh! Listen up, all of you!” The hideous Dullahan monster yelled at his small army. “Lord Kane's on a very important mission in Dragonia right now... We can't let that scum into Dragonia...”
“Alright Max, In Dragonia is the book we need, we gotta crush these guys if not impeding doom will fall over Rune.” The Gamer Gamer Queen frowned.
“Alright…” Max stop mid sentence realizing he dint know his teammates name.
“…Khrystie… My name is Khrystie.” The girl smiled
“Alright. Shining Force go!”
“Yeah!” The team cheered drawing out their weapons. Khrystie her self, drew the blade in a fashion similar to Kenshin from the anime Rurouni Kenshin.

“Aie, see Darksol…” a shadow figure in the dark castle smiled, “She’s becoming a problem already…”
“No… Not yet…” Darksol replied. “Only threat to my plan is Max and his brother Kane.”
“And this girl isn’t?” the figure asked still hiding within the shadows. “She could and probably will tell Max all bout his past, free Kane and defeat the Dark Dragon. She IS from another world after all. She knows far too much…”
“Then I’ll have to get Kane to eliminate her then…” Darksol chuckled. The figure smirked.
“I thought you’d see it my way…” and with that the shadow left, but reappeared in Dragonia. The person’s features were now noticeable; it was a male in a dark red cloak, red eyes, and blood red hair in a short ponytail.
“Damn sun…” the male hissed. He trudged his way to Kane who was coved in blood of a dead dragon god. “…Nice killing…”
“What do you want Nozomi?” Kane asked, he was older than Max by two years older (AN: I’m gonna guess Max is 15, why? In the sequel Shining Force Gaiden: Final Conflict, it takes 20 years later, Max is an uncle, and who’s gonna send a guy in his 50s in freakin’ battle!? Seriously…) with a long purple cape, bone like armor and menacingly horned mask.
“Darksol said to kill this girl at all costs…” he handed Kane a picture of Khrystie, but the picture was obviously violated, coved in red pen, and stupid remarks allover it. “She knows too much…”
“…Right…”
“They’ll be arriving soon…”
----
“Freeze!” the floating jelling fish yelled, freezing the Dullahan.
“...Lord Kane...we've failed you.” Dullahan said in a faint whisper.
“Max, the enemies have all been destroyed now. However... Runefaust must be in Dragonia as well, looking for the Book.” Nova inquired
“Yeah, let’s hurry!” The teamed entered the town most headed to the base for a rest, some for exploring. Khrystie looked at the ground noticing foot steps, not belong to the Shining Force.
‘…Someone dangerous was here…’ she paused in her thoughts for a second. ‘Wait a sec! How am I able to figure that out!? That aint right! First me jumping over Max’s head… and this?! This game is whack…’
“Dang…” one explorer that become friends with Max. “What's going on here?! I heard this was the land of the dragon gods... But there's not one dragon to be seen!”
“Not one…?” Max asked surprised
“No… Something bad happened here… Really bad…” Khrystie found a stair case hidden with in a house, Max followed. It lead to a small house, Max opened the door and the pair of teens entered.
“Oh! Stop it! I'm a cowardly dragon! Leave me alone!” a voice squeaked.
“Wait a minute! You have to listen to me!” Max immediate replied “We've come from a kingdom called Guardiana... We're fighting against Runefaust! We're not your enemies! We won't do anything, honest!” the other voice’s owner popped out, it was a white dragon child.
“Eh? You mean you're not working for Kane of Runefaust?” it asked. Khrystie shook her head and walked over slowly to the dragon, trying not to frighten it, and pet it on it’s head.
“No, we aren’t…”
“I can’t believe Kane did this!” Max frowned.
“That's right! He attacked us without warning. My grandparents... everyone... They were all slaughtered! I was terrified...and I've been hiding in here.” the dragon shivered remembering what happed in his hometown. Unexpectedly the door was busted open by Karin, yelling.
“Bleu! Is this true? While everyone was getting killed, you were just hiding? You worthless coward!” tears gleaming,
“K... Karin... Don't say that...” Bleu the dragon frowned.
“I was so worried that I came after you... and all this time you were... I HATE you, Bleu!” with that she left. But seconds later she screamed. “Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!!!”
“That’s Karin’s voice!”
“Hmph! Look what I Found - a poor, shivering little dragon kid! If you want the girl to live, you better open that door!” a Rune Knight yelled
“Don't do it! Don't listen to what he says! Don't worry about me! Defend the honor of the Dragon Gods!” Karin barked back. Khrystie reading Bleu’s mind yanked open the door.
“What's a puny little dragon like you gonna do about it?” the knight sneered seeing Bleu’s angry face. Instead of a response he breathed fire killing the knight.
“Thank you, Bleu. You finally found your courage!” Karin cheered hugging her dragon friend.
“...Yeah. I'm still not sure of myself, but... I'm gonna work hard and be strong!”
“If you're serious about that, Bleu, you should go with Max and his friends.”
“Huh? What for? And who are these guys, anyway?”
“The Shining Force. They're brave warriors who're fighting against Runefaust.”
“Wow, really? OK, that settles it! Max, make me a member of your group!”
“All right. We could really use a dragon god, after all. But... Are you guys going to be OK without Bleu around?” Max paused for a moment, receiving a strange look from Khrystie, clearly stating ‘What? Are you stupid!?’
“It'll be a bit lonely. But I think we'll be OK. Bleu's sure to get stronger if he travels along with you. So it'll be good for him, too.” Karin smiled
“Yeah, you're right. Welcome aboard, Bleu!”
“Goodie!” Karin skipped of yelling “I'm going back to Rudo. I have to tell everyone that Bleu finally proved himself!”
---
The trio was about to arrive at the base just as a dark fiend enounced to Max.
“Max! Where are you?! Show yourself to me!” when he finally noticed them he put on a ghoulish like grin under his mask. “It's been a long time, Max.”
“…Kane…!” the boy was surprised to see the fiend still here, in belief he had left long ago.
“You remember my name? I am Kane of Runefaust. I've heard all about you. Of how you defeated General Elliot at Pao... You must be pretty strong. Come on, look sharp! You should go back to HQ. Come out when you're ready. One force against another... We'll fight on equal terms!”
---
The hour of the battle finally came, both side determine to win, Kane smirked
“You were a fool to come back here so boldly. Did you really think you could defeat me, Max?”
“You... You killed Varios!” Mae, the female centaur yelled
“My father...That man murdered him...” Anri hissed
“Loyal servant of Darksol...Your reign of terror is over!” Princess Narsha barked
“In the name of Lord Varios and the Knights of Guardiana, I will defeat you!” Ken enounced
“Kane...you scumbag! I'll make you pay for laying waste to my homeland!” Gort yelled
“Kane...So he's the one who offend the king and Varios.” Lowe frowned
“I may not like to fight...but THIS time it's personal!” Hans exclaimed
“I'm Luke of the Guardiana Band of Warriors! Your number's up, Kane!” Luke smirked
“Y...you...you're the one who killed my grandma and grandpa...” Bleu whimpered
“Kane! Let's finish this!” Max yelled.
“Yeah!” the whole team cheered
“Hmph. Well, they do have spirit... for cannon fodder. Come and get some! I'll take you all on!” Kane yelled.
‘…We can’t kill him… I’ gotta break that mask…’
