Chapter 1: Faces of the Past.

--Locksley--

The Scarlet Sisters were sitting down in their small home. Even though they were twins, they were almost nothing alike. They shared nothing in common other then blood. The older of the two, Miranda, sat with her short brown curls forming a barricade between the two sisters. Her black eyes were on the small crossbow in front of her. Diana, the younger of the two, had her hair to the side, while her hazel eyes were stuck on her small plate. The two often sat in silence.

Miranda had inherited her father, Dan's, skill in carpeting. She, like the older of her two brothers, Will, could make anything out of wood. She had little education, but her childhood friend, Marian of Knighton, had taught her to read and write, though she saw no need for it. She learned archery and had become skilled with a sword.

Diana, on the other hand, was more of a scholar than a fighter. She read and wrote, more than anything. She resembled their mother, Jane. Unlike the older, more mature twin, Diana was very energetic. She wasn't much of a fighter.

So the two twin sisters sat on the back porch in Locksley. It was their twenty-fifth birthday, so they spent it together.

Suddenly the door opened. Gisbourne, the new lord of Locksley, stood inside.

"Arrest them for collaborating with hood."

"Diana." Miranda started. Neither was ready to got jail, nor wanted to go, but they couldn't fight twenty guards by themselves. Miranda took on as many as she possibly could, and then headed for the door. "We have hardly an option but to run now."

"To the forest, we have to." Diana ordered. Her sister shook her head.

"I am not going to our brother in our time of need. He..." Miranda started, as the Diana grabbed her sister’s hand pulling her out of their home.

"Now is not the time for hard feelings!" Diana shouted, grabbing their horse, and climbing on. "We have no where better to go for now!" The two started into the forest with the guards chasing after them.

--Sherwood Forest--

Robin and the Gang were sitting in the Camp, discussing the Plan to make the deliveries. When suddenly, the alarm went off. They grabbed their nearest weapons, and followed Robin out.

When they reached the trap, a young, blonde girl was in it. Peasant by the looks of it. There was another, who was trying to figure out how to bring the other down.

Miranda was working on getting Diana down when she heard footsteps behind her. She turned and saw Robin Hood and his Gang. Her eyes hit one man in particular. The most familiar face their. She walked up to him

"Get her down!" She ordered any of the outlaws, except the one in front of her. 'I know that voice. But it can't be them...'

"Miranda? Diana?" Will questioned, before he could stop himself. Miranda smiled.

"Hello Will." Miranda said, courteously, as her fist collided with Will's face. "You deserved that!" She yelled in his face when he whimpered. And Will knew he had.
