Crazy Avatar: The Last Airbender songfics

Disclaimer: I do not yet own Avatar or the Disney song 'can you feel the love tonight' (keyword – yet.)

[This is a Kataang and Tokka songfic

Toph and Sokka are leaning against Appa looking somewhat bored. Suddenly, Aang and Katara run in from the trees and a calm, happy atmosphere descends on the camp. Aang smiles up at Katara.

"Sokka, Toph! We're just going waterbending… There's a new, um, move I want to show Aang…"

She trails of mid-sentence as her and Aang run of again into the forest.

Sokka's eyes follow them of into the trees and he eventually turns towards Toph and says, "Isn't the water in the other direction?"

Toph sighs and the gentle sounds of Jamaican drums surround the pair.

Sokka looks around confused.

The lights dim casting a rose pink spotlight on Toph, as she breaks into song.

"I can see what's happening."

"What?"

"And they don't have a clue."

"Who?"

"They'll fall in love, and here's the bottom line. Our trio's down to two!"

"Oh."

(In a sarcastic mock-French accent)

"Ze sweet caress of twilight!

(Back to normal but still sarcastic)

There's magic everywhere.

And with all this romantic atmosphere.

DISTASTER'S IN THE AIR!!"

(Suddenly the camp and scenery all disappears to be replaced by a shimmering waterfall and full gospel choir)

Everybody sways in time with the music and clicks their fingers, Sokka and Toph standing at the front.

"Can you feel the love tonight?

The peace the evening brings.

The world for once in perfect harmony,

With all its living things."

(Scene cuts to Aang and Katara running through the forest casting smoldering looks at each other)

Aang looks up at Katara's grinning face and then looks away again…

"So many things to tell her,

But how to make her see?

The truth about my past, impossible.

She'd turn away from me."

Katara bends over to pick a moon-Lillie.

She glances slyly at Aang notices and then blushes. They both turn away quickly, their cheeks flushed with excitement.

"He's holding back, he's hiding,

But what I can't decide.

Why won't he be the man I know he is?

The man I see inside?"

(Back to Toph and Sokka)

"Can you feel the love tonight?

The peace the evening brings?

The world for once, in perfect harmony,

With all its living things.

Can you feel the love tonight?

You needn't look too far.

Stealing through, the night's uncertainties,

Love is where they are…"

(All fades back to Toph and Sokka leaning against Appa looking solemn)

"And if he falls in love tonight.

It can be assumed."

"His carefree days with us are history."

"In short, our pal is doomed!!!!"

They both hugged each other dramatically, when…

"Uh guys? We came back from waterbending. Why are you, um, holding one another!?"

Toph and Sokka immediately froze and then moved as far away from each other as fast as possible, saying, "Holding? Who's holding? He stole my meteor bracelet/ She stole my boomerang!"

"Right…"

Katara and Aang give each other knowing looks.

"Toph, come on. We are going to have a little chat."
