Disclaimer: I don’t own Labyrinth, Star Wars nor Sleeping Beauty. But I had fun time writing this.

(Yes, I did some changes with the chapter out-line. I felt this was better.)

Jareth paced restlessly on floor of the clubhouse’s reception room; his hands clasped behind his back.

“This is insufferable!” He gave an annoyed look at the small red haired imp behind the reception counter. “So you tell me, the King of the Giants won't be here?” He spoke icily, and stopped. "And that he informed you instead of me?” His tone revealed he was more than slightly put off because of the fact, though more furious he was that the King of the Giant hadn’t come at all. Jareth wasn’t rejected nor left un-notified, especially by his golf companions.

The clerk sighed tiredly. “Yes Your Goblin Majesty. That’s right. His Majesty left you a note though...” the clerk told and pulled a piece of paper in his small, clawed hands. “Apparently there was some sort of obstacle...” He told wearily passing on the paper at Jareth. “Here you are, Your Majesty.”

Jareth took the paper.

Sorry Jareth.” The text was clearly penned by the imp. The phrasing of the words also told to the Goblin King the imp must have modified the hideous accent of the giant. Actually, Jareth suspected that Garth, the King of the Giants, didn’t even know how to write himself. He snorted, still rather displeased, and kept on reading.

I can’t come and play today, as I’m needed in home. One stinky human boy grew a magical bean, reaching that way me home on clouds. And that stinky boy robbed from me my money goose. So, you see. I have a small situation with the money up here.”

“Hmm...I see. “Jareth muttered, a small smirk appearing on the tip of his thin lips. So, someone had stolen Garth’s precious goose that laid golden eggs. How unfortunate for him...He shall have rather big financial problems after that. His sneer was replaced by a frown.

“But still!” He was adamant. “I won’t tolerate this! We were to start a game at precisely thirteen o'clock!” He spoke out bitterly with a loud voice.

The imp eyed once again his papers, and then looked at the Goblin King. “Well...” He cleared his throat. “You still have that time your Majesty.” He told him, with a slightly uncertain voice. “You can always play alone.” He carefully suggested.

“I never play alone!” Jareth snorted, offended. “What’s the use of playing without a worthy opponent?!” Another question was if the King of the Giants was any match for Jareth, but the imp refrained pointing this fact at loud. Instead, he raised red eyebrows and eyed Jareth questioningly.

“’This’ a golf club, you know...” The imp told, even more carefully, “Your Majesty. You don’t necessary need a sparring match on the green.”

“You question me and my desires, imp?” The Goblin King asked acidly, and the imp jumped on his seat.

“But of course not, Excellency!” the imp hastily soothed Jareth’s ire. “I merely suggested you might enjoy playing alone...” He shook his small head and fluttered his transparent wings uneasily. One could never be too careful when the deal was with a vicious villain, and especially when it concerned his game of golf. “But if you wish, I can look whether there is another group for you to play with...” He said, and started to flip through his papers.

“Ten minutes before of your own planned start, leaves a group of two players, Your Majesty.” The imp told him after awhile, still looking the papers in front of him. “I think Your Majesty might enjoy playing with them...” The imp looked at the Goblin King.

He snorted. “That remains to see! But consider it done.” He snapped, and turned on his heels. “You might as well place me with them”, He waved casually his hand as walking out the club house, and left the imp to sit by the counter alone. The pixie stared the furthering back of the Goblin King, and stuck his tongue out at him before he took the quill, and added the Goblin King on his papers with his beautiful handwriting.

Then the pixie smiled ill-willed, his previous annoyance disappearing, as he bared his razorblade sharp teeth to the empty club room. Oh, what an intriguing twist of the turn this was! The game that was to begun would truly be an interesting one...
