I am reposting this story. I want to thank all those who’ve previously shown me support with this uneventful story.

This introduction gives insight to Hinata’s mind. I felt the need to address this before starting with the main plot. This will be my first dive into actual action, and though it is AU I shall be twisting actual events/information.

Her mother had given up first.

She died, leaving Hinata and new born Hanabi to fend for themselves.

Hinata understands why…why her mother’s spirit had been broken so early.

Anyone would be too if you lived your entire life as a Hyuga.

But Hinata has sworn to herself that she wouldn’t.

Her father was next.

She was weak in his eyes and he turned away from her and looked towards her sister.

Her sister had never known the warmth of a mother, she had heard him once, and so she will never grow weak.

For a moment her young mind hated him.

Children are innocent.

Hinata doesn’t believe that she is.

Yes, she has her chastity but innocence isn’t always physical.

Her thoughts are far from innocent.

After her mother’s death she had begun to see.

And she doesn’t like what she sees.

Home is a place where there was love.

Hinata wonders if she should think of the Hyuga compound as home.

Her father hates her.

Hanabi does not know her. She knows of her but never knowing who Hinata is.

Neji despises her.

The Elders damn her and so does the rest of her ‘family’.

Family: something that the Hyuga is not.

Clan, she muses, is a better term.

Alone at night, her heart bleeds.

For the Hyuga Clan, her otou-san, Neji, Hanabi…and sometimes for herself.

Subjected to the harsh treatment her family bestows on her does not make her hard.

It doesn’t make her soft either.

It makes her lose hope.

That is, until a certain bye eyed blonde boy obliviously helps her to regain it back again.

All just by watching him.

When she became a genin and is placed under Kurenai-sensei, Hinata feels hesitant.

When Kurenai became her guardian and took her from the Hyuga compound, Hinata feels relief.

Hinata is weak, she knows this.

However she knows that she is strong too.
