Fill Me With Wonder
-Of Reminders, Visits, & Conversations
He was suspicious once she’d turned seventeen.
But now that he knew—he’d been ‘informed’ once she’d turned eighteen—he knew what she was thinking as she held the candy-cane tenderly.
“Sakura, we all know that you’re thinking about the gaki’s…‘that’...” Touya sighed. “But could you please save the fantasies for after the decorating?!”
She blushed furiously at being caught day-dreaming. “S-Shut up!!” Judging by the look on her face and his now pained foot, he’d been right.
“Sakura-san, Touya …” Their father butted in, his face glowing with a smile, as always. “I’d prefer if you didn’t fight so near to Christmas…”
Sakura returned it, then kept on placing bulbs and striped candy on the branches of the evergreen.
Touya grumbled and continued to string the lights.

The next time was when they made chocolate.
Her face was redder than the tomatoes used in the spaghetti she usually cooked.
It made him raise an eyebrow as to what, exactly, she and the brat had been doing with said confection.
“What’s got you all lit up?” He finally questioned her deliriously happy expression.
She flushed darker at having been caught, stammering out an answer. “S-Syaoran likes chocolate…” She began, he face a beacon of delight at the memory. “He likes it a lot.”
It made him scoff, and worry about them, not that he’d ever admit them. The gaki, my sister, and chocolate…why does that sound like a bad combination?

‘Tis the season’, so of course they had the right music playing.
But as to why his little monster was blushing at this was a mystery to him.
“Chestnuts roasting on an open fire…”
Every time it got to that part, she lost her breath, so caught up in the moment she’d been unaware how…vividly she was re-living it.
“Whoops…” She stammered out an apology with her face red.
He sighed in frustration.

Finally, as they had dinner, Touya snapped his chopsticks as Sakura rambled on about something she’d done with Tomoyo…and her precious Syaoran.
“I’ve had it!” As he shouted without moving, she and her father froze. “Sakura, I don’t know why, but everything we’ve done today has reminded of you of having sex with the gaki—”
“Onii-chan!” Her face mightns’t well of been on fire.
“Well, it has, right?!” He stood at this point. “First with the candy cane, then the chocolate and the song, now the talking…do you ever not think about him?”
She actually thought about it before smiling. “Oh, Touya, are you jealous that Syaoran’s taking up all my thoughts?”
She stood, moving to hug her brother. “Yes, I do think him quite a bit, but just because me and Syaoran have…” She blushed here. “Sex and I think about it…doesn’t mean that I don’t still think my other favorite boys!”
Touya flushed at his sister knowing him so well before coughing and she let go.
Their father smiled before the door rang, interrupting the awkward silence, then he wore a confused expression. “Expecting guests, Sakura-san, Touya?”
“Yes!” “Yeah.” They stared at each other. “You too?” They nodded at the same time.
“I got it, Onii-chan!” Sakura, waved him off, and he sat down, grumbling, “It’s probably the gaki…”
“Syaoran!” The auburn-haired girl practically jumped the poor adolescent boy.
He smiled sheepishly. “Hey, Sakura.”
“Yo!” Another voice greeted happily, making her jump off of her boyfriend hastily.
“Yukito-san!” She greeted, red spreading to her cheeks even further. “Please, both of you, come on in!”
She’d stayed by the door waiting for her boyfriend, who was currently brushing off the seat of his pants.
“Coats?” She offered.
“Already on it, Sakura.” He smiled gently, placing the leather coat and the scarf she’d given him years ago on their rack.
She glowed a soft pink and took his rather larger hand in hers, pulling him along faster than he could keep up unless he stumbled. “Slow down, I’m not going anywhere!”
She laughed the whole way to the table.

“Yuki!” The black-haired boy stood up to greet his male lover. “Ugh, save me. The brats are annoying, smooching in front of me and all…”
He made a gagging motion as Fujitaka snapped a picture of the two brunettes kissing each other tenderly under the mistletoe.
The one with a dual identity as one of Sakura’s protectors laughed at him and he pouted in turn. “It’s not funny…”
“But you’re just so cute when you pout, To-ya…” The black-haired man blushed softly.
“S-Shut up, I do not!” Yuki continued to laugh at the Kinomoto.

“So, I’m heading to Syaoran’s place tonight!” The statement made everyone but the blushing teenager drop their silverware.
“As much as I hate to say it…” Her brother sighed. “Have fun. And wear protection! You two are still in high school!”
They both took heat to the face as the adults laughed.
Nudging her after they’d gotten permission to leave, Li helped her leave, pulling out her chair and everything, then took her into his arms with a smile.
“Silly!” Sakura giggled, tangling her hands in his messy hair. “Couldn’t you have waited ‘til we got to your apartment?”
“No.” He chuckled, blowing hot air on her exposed throat, simultaneously taking his things and then opening the door. “Not when you’re just blushing and looking all cute! Why do you do this to me, Kinomoto…?”
“Stop it!” She pushed him back playfully with a giggle from his soft nips at her neck, ears, and phantom tingles from his touch. “Syao!”
His deep chuckled echoed in all the adults’ ears even as they sped off.
“They’re gone, Touya…” Yuki nudged him gently, smiling. “Do you wanna go to your flat?”
He shot a look at his father, who simply waved him off with a smile. “Go on.”
Taking Yukito’s lead, he ranted his way to Yuki’s car; though when he’d taken the keys was unknown to Fujitaka.
They’re all growing up, Nadeshiko-san…The brown-haired man smiled at the picture, polishing his glasses absently. Even Sakura-san. But her boyfriend is so wonderful.
“I know, Fujitaka…” A soft, feminine voice whispered in his contented ears. “The Li boy takes such good care of her…I wonder they’ll be with child?”
“Sometime soon after school.” He said aloud this time. “I can’t wait…It’ll be such a beautiful child, with such gorgeous parents…”
“With clear, smoldering amber eyes filled with love, and soft, lush, brown hair.” The ghost of the woman joined. “That’ll be if it looks more like it’s father, which it probably will.”
They married couple—both the deceased and the living half—conversed about simple things like that about their children for the rest of the evening, content in the large house by themselves.
