Challenge: Something I set for myself basically I have to write a Christmas story with the following things: A Christmas tree, Christmas bells, and Empty Christmas stockings

Edward Elric growled in annoyance, he hated Christmas there was no point in celebrating the stupid holiday. It was just people spending ridiculous amounts of money on gifts and there was wrapping presents and the decoration of the Christmas tree, it was just so pointless. There was no science in Christmas, Santa Claus was a myth and so was the so called ‘Christmas magic.’

Alphonse Elric smiled, he finally had his body back and it was nearly Christmas, he loved the holiday, it was full of joy and good intentions. He just loved feeling so many feelings it was wonderful. It would also be the first Christmas he and his older brother, Edward, would be celebrating in Central with no worries of the homunculi or the philosopher stone. It was just going to be them together, maybe even Winry if he could convince her to come with Granny and Den.

Roy Mustang smirked to himself. The Elric brothers and their childhood friend Winry Rockbell and her grandmother were coming and staying for Christmas. He was going to make their stay worthwhile. But first he had to have his staff set up the Christmas tree in the great hall of his mansion, yes being the ruler of the country was just as excellent as he thought.

“Come on Brother, Mr. Mustang said we had to be at his house at 10 and to be dressed nicely” shouted Alphonse, hoping that Edward would hurry up and stop dillydallying.

Edward rolled his eyes at his younger brother’s antics.

“I’m coming, I just don’t understand why we have to go…shopping” Edward shuddered at the horrible thought.

Alphonse sighed in defeat turned to face his stubborn brother. Edward had a simple outfit of black tank top, black cargo pants and black jacket and black boots. Al wondered why he wore so much black, though the black jacket did have a trim of white. Alphonse had decided to wear a navy blue tank top and red cargo pants with a lighter blue jacket and also black boots just like his brother’s ones. They both had their hair in low ponytails; Alphonse’s though was shorter than his brothers.

“Because we don’t have any nice clothes”

“But still, we don’t need them” muttered Edward.

“I’m not letting you wear black to Mr. Mustang’s house”

“Why not I wear it all the time?”

“That is exactly the point; you need something new and colourful!”

“Fine!!” shouted Edward clearly annoyed with the fact that he had lost the argument.

The two brothers began their shopping.

Meanwhile Roy and his trusty staff and friends were decorating his house for the surprise Christmas party.

It was nearly done all that had to be done was putting the empty Christmas stocking up against the marble fireplace.

“So where should we put Ed’s stocking?” asked Jean Havoc

“At the end next to Alphonse’s of course” replied Riza Hawkeye.

Havoc did just that.

They had finished and it was very elegant. The Christmas tree was in the centre of the room and red and gold Christmas bells were decorating the tree in a circular motion, they sparkled like stars, there were also small crystal statues of Edward, Alphonse, Jean, Riza, Maes, Garcia, Elyisa, Breda, Kain, Falman, Roy, Winry, Sheska, Izumi and finally Armstrong. There was a huge pile of presents, approximately five present for each person, the red and white trimmed stocking hanged from the large white marble fireplace. There was green, red, gold and electric blue tinsel framing the walls and stair rails and there were fair few types of mistletoe hanging around the mansion and there was one in middle of the front door frame.

Roy smiled to himself they had done good and they were all ready, they just needed to wait for the Rockbells’ and the Elrics’ to come through that door.

“You look handsome Ed” said Winry happily.

Edward was currently wearing a blue shirt with light blue jeans and black boots and his gold hair was in a high ponytail. His automail glinted happily.

“And you look beautiful Win” replied Ed just as happily.

Winry was currently wearing a sky blue dress that reached her ankles and the flicked out but only a little. She also had blue high heels on making her a few inches taller. Her hair was in an elegant bun and two small pieces framed her hair.

Alphonse had a black suit on and his brown hair was cut to the length he had it as a small child. Alphonse had decided that long hair didn’t suit him.

They were all ready for the night that laid ahead of them.

Roy watched his faithful and loyal team have a great time at his party, he saw Edward and Winry dance to the slow music, they were gently swaying to the music. Roy grinned at the memory of when they came inside, they had came in together and were directly underneath the mistletoe and had to kiss. But of course everyone knew that they had been falling for each other and this was just a push to start their relationship and it had. Edward and Winry had not left each others sight since that very long kiss underneath the mistletoe.

Alphonse was currently dancing with Elyisa.

Everyone was happy.

“Sir,” Riza’s gentle voice reached his ears.

Roy looked at her, she had a gold dress, similar to Winry’s one. Riza’s eyes drifted upwards and Roy followed them and saw a small clump of mistletoe underneath his and Riza’s head.

“Mistletoe and Merry Christmas”

Roy’s and Riza’s lips met and they both melted underneath the sheer pleasure of the small, soft kiss.

Christmas brought the best of everyone and brought joy all around even Edward realised that, that night.
