Okay, this is just an introduction to the second half the series. If the songs are in script mode, then that means that there's more than 1 dog singing. Also, I don't own anything excpet for my characters!

The midnight moon shone in the black sky. Outside Nome, Jenna was having another concert in one of the mine shacks.

‘ Next is Rex and Soul…first timers with us. And just now was Gabriella, Esteban, Kenai and Madeline singing The status quo.’ Dingo said loudly as he tried to get attention from his family.

Rex: Livin’ in my own world

Didn’t understand

That anything can happen

Soul: I never believed in

Rex: Ohhhh, yeah…

‘ Rex and Soul everyone. That was an extract of a song that is dedicated to when they first met. Soul also said that she had an announcement to make.’ Kodi said as he put everyone’s attention on Soul.

‘ Rex…I know this is sudden, but I-I’m going to have puppies.’ Soul slowly said.

‘ Yeah. You’re right, this is sudden. Congrats. Wait, that means that I’m a…dad.’ Rex said as he left his mouth open. Soon the room was filled with voices. Soul was dragged over to the girls who were saying that she was lucky to finally have pups and Rex was dragged over to the boys who were saying that Soul was the right choice.

Over the weeks, Soul got bigger and bigger. Soon she couldn’t leave her home that she was so heavy. Rex visited her everyday and brought her food from outside.

Nine weeks later, Rex, Soul and their humans were in the hospital. Only ten minutes ago 5 pups had been born, now they slept next to their mother. Tabatha, Soul’s human, put all five puppies in a basket and carried them home.

‘ I’m so glad that they’re with us. Little bundles of joy. We should name them once we get home.’ Rex said as he and Soul walked behind Tabatha.

‘ Good idea.’ Soul said as she walked through the doors of her home and with Rex, into another room with the basket of pups inside. Both of them stared into the basket and saw a grey and white pup, two completely white pups, a brown/grey and white pup and a mud brown/grey pup. Rex stared at the grey and white pup while Soul looked at one of the white pups.

‘ Soul…doesn’t the grey and white one look like, me, but have the markings of Aleu?’ Rex asked as he pointed to the pup.

‘ Yeah, but Aleu is your aunt. It is possible that some of her genes went through you and your mother, but look. One of the white pups…she doesn’t look like me.’ Soul explained as she looked at the white pup.

‘ She has a slimmer snout like the other one. Like Aniu.’ Rex explained.

‘ I’ll call her Lisa, as it is an elegant name. The mini you is Nita, for she has the courage of a bear. The brown grey and white will be Kiara, as she is like a little queen. The mud one will be Sitka, for he could one day be a leader and the last one will be Cop because of his copper eyes.’ Soul said. Rex then nuzzled her and she nuzzled back.

Eight weeks later it was adoption day. Both parents sat by a wooden box and waited. The pups played with each other until a human came. The first one was a girl who chose Kiara. Next were twin boys who chose Sitka and Cop.

‘Nita and Lisa won’t be adopted. Even though Lisa is white, humans can tell the difference between their snouts.’ Rex said as he nuzzled Soul as she wiped a tear from her eye.

‘ I know, but where will they live? Your house is already full and my human won’t take any more…’ Soul began, but Rex stopped her.

‘ Not anymore. A human heard that I managed to survive the wilderness and he’s decided to take me in and if he hears that I have kids, he’ll take them in too.’ Rex explained.

‘ You found a human? I’m so proud. Where do you live now?’ Soul asked.

‘ Opposite you.’ Rex answered.

‘ Take the pups home with you and I’ll see you in the morning.’ Soul said as she nuzzled Rex. He then picked the pups up and walked back home. Soul went to hers and Rex went to his new one. A male human stood by the door and picked the two pups up and brought them inside with Rex.
