Chapter 5
Dov’è L’amore
Her beauty was on everybody’s tongue. She had huge whitesmoke eyes resembling silvery full moon on the magnificent sky. They were framed with long, thick eyelashes. Her hairs were long reaching to her thin waist. They were shiny, dark purple. She had a smile which warmed even the coldest human being. Her characteristic was as beautiful as her looks; the words weren’t enough to define. Nice, kind, friendly, helpful… but as every beautiful thing she had one flaw; she was so shy. Timid.
Her name was Hinata which was suited her with its meaning sunny place. She was the eldest daughter of Hyuuga Hiashi head of noble and strong clan. The man was strict and tough. He grew his two daughters with discipline. In his eyes she was never good enough because she was weak. As to the man being too nice, too kind was meant weakness. So he was the one who took decisions for her life. Where she could go. Who she could be friends with. What she should eat. What she should study… even he chose her future husband for her. In father’s eye the younger daughter, who was tougher and confident, was popular. She was seen with the man mostly being introduced to the people as heiress. Even if the girls loved each other they couldn’t ignore the differentiation between them.
And Hinata was respectful, dignified and meek girl to stand against his father.
Unfortunately her heart fell for another.
They met on a festival. She was with her cousin and sister. He was with his friends. Their eyes met as they passed by each other. His eyes were as black as bottomless well. She had a fancy kimono. He had a simple navy one. The symbol of their clans printed on the expensive clothes. Someone bumped into her. She stumbled. He held her arm preventing her falling. She looked up and smiled; apologizing and thanking. He nodded and was pushed away by her glaring cousin. He looked amused and moved to join his waiting friends.
Before they got lost in crowd they looked their back catching each others opposite colored eyes.
He was the youngest son of head of a noble clan, Uchiha. Tall, strong, handsome. He had black spiky hairs. His flawless face was usually expressionless. As his father. As his famous elder brother. Everybody knew him Itachi’s younger brother Sasuke. Whatever he did he could never get as good as his elder brother. They thought Uchiha were as arrogant as Hyuuga men. They always walked around their heads high. They didn’t get friendly with people from outside. They wore the symbols of their family always on their clothes. The sign was printed on their walls, doors. The flags hang in their compound. However unlike the people of his clan Sasuke had friends from the village. He didn’t lend an ear to his father’s or the clan’s warnings about his friends. Never being succeeded getting out of his elder brother’s shadow he was distant to his family.
Uchiha was strong and old as Hyuuga. The two families were enemies as long as people knew. Nobody remembered how the enmity began or when. Some said it was a land disagreement. Some told a story about a sorrowful love triangle story among a woman and two men; one from Uchiha, the other was Hyuuga. Some believed it was only a power fight.
Investigating he found out who the girl was. His friends warned him to stay away from Hyuuga’s eldest heiress. But who he was to pay attention to them? He didn’t care about the hostility between two clans. It was bare nonsense and he didn’t understand why the two families were enemies. Whatever happened it was past. Whoever fought they were already death. Not even their bones left in their graves. It was also how his elder brother and their mother thought. While the middle aged nice woman kept silent about her feelings Itachi didn’t care to declare his converse thoughts out freely taking the people of clan and their father over against himself. They also blamed the elder brother affecting the younger one. Unlike him Sasuke was freer in his life. His father didn’t show much attention to him and he knew to use it to his benefit. In past he tried to fight for the interest of his father but in years he gave up going on his own way. Because of this there was coldness between two brothers.
He began to appear on the places she went. For a while they looked at one another from far. One day he approached to her when she was alone. The seventeen years old girl was worried but didn’t do anything to push him away. He was the first guy out of her family she had ever spoken with. The quiet and shy girl was entertaining to him. They met again and again. In secret. In silence.
They loved each other. Waiting for their next rendezvous was deathlike. In their dreams, in their minds they always had their loved ones.
Sadly their happiness didn’t last long. Hiashi gave her hand in marriage to someone else. His name was Gaara and he was the leader of his homeland. Sasuke was away and she was being sent to the neighbor land with the trousseau and cortège. She was sad unlike a bride going to meet her future husband on the horse. She cried for nights but her pain was unheard.
The news reached to Sasuke on his way back to home. He rushed to stop the group and take the woman she loved away. From far he saw her sitting on the horse. They were passing the bridge over the river. She was looking down and seemed sad. He ran. How it happened nobody could tell. All in a sudden the horse ramped in bad-temper. The men tried to calm the animal but it was vain. She fell into the wild waters. Her fragile body floated in the river towards the huge waterfall. She was seen once on the water next nowhere. People yelled, beat their chest but nobody dared to dove into the angry stream.
Sasuke ran. He jumped into the waters to catch his beloved. He swam and tried to reach her but he couldn’t. She was lost among the furious waters.
Hiashi blamed Sasuke for her death. He said the guy was the one, who pushed his daughter into the river. He killed her. Young Uchiha was captured and taken to the prison to swing. He didn’t protest. He didn’t try to save himself. His beloved died what was the point he lived…
Startled the whitesmoke eyes opened. The girl blinked confused. She tried to understand where she was. Her comrades were sleeping in their beds. She remembered they were on a mission to find Uchiha Sasuke. For the night after tiring day they decided to rest in a hotel. She put her head down on the thin pillow back and thought about the dream she had.
She didn’t understand why she saw Sasuke as the man she loved. Maybe it was because she was so much focused on the mission and her mind busy about her crush and his ambition to save Sasuke. She hoped she could be helpful in the mission.
Another place a pair of black eyes opened slowly. The fifteen years old guy stared to the ceiling. He thought what a weird dream it was. He blamed his former teammate who was after him for days mixing up his mind and taking him to the village in his dreams. He would snort if he was alone. Jugo was on guard sitting beside the wall under the windowsill. He wondered about the girl he dreamed. Hyuuga clan’s heiress. The side of his lip curled upward slightly thinking about her father. What if the love between them was real? What he would do Sasuke was curious for a few seconds before he went back to sleep. In the morning he had a serious mission to complete.
