Christmas Presents

The handful of seventh years who had stayed at Hogwarts for the holidays were sharing a table with the staff. It was time to unwrap the presents that had been left under the tree.

Minerva looked proudly at her prize pupil who was twisting the large package in her hands, eyeing it with suspicion.

‘Go on, open it!’ Minerva urged.

Hermione complied with a smile.

And poured a pile of coal on the table.

‘Hermione!’ Minerva exclaimed. ‘Have you been a naughty girl this year?’

She did not miss the look exchanged between the Head Girl and her Potions Professor.
