Backtrack 1 I don’t own a thing!!
This sucked. Vivian was stuck in the inn all day with no girl her age to hang out with. The closest girl was sixteen, three years her elder! The only age-mate loup garoux’s were a group of rather annoying thirteen-year-old boys; Axel, Raff, Gregory, Ulf, and the twins Finn and Will. They kept following her around like the pups they tried to convince people they weren’t anymore.
“Come on Vivie,” Will, the kindest of the group begged. It was summer time, and Vivian refused to play stupid pranks on humans with them. Gabriel, a very handsome young man who was seven years older then she, was sitting at the table with Bucky, her father, and other male members of the pack. They were talking, but every so often Gabriel’s eyes flickered to the young group.
“No Will, now stop harassing me.” Viviane hissed.
“We aren’t harassing you, and you know it.” Finn interjected, coming to the aid of his twin, “We all know you love us. I bet when we are of age, you will choose one of us to be your mate.”
She snarled at this, then smirked, “Oh really?” she purred in an evil innocent voice that no thirteen-year-old should know. It held such a sultry tone, that not only were the six of them captivated, but soon the table of men was also listening. They were all wondering where on earth did this beautiful girl learn to speak that way. Viviane merely smiled at the group of young boys, and purred, “And which one of you do you think would be man enough to win me?” She raised one perfect eyebrow, which sent them off.
They began to yell and snarl about whom it would be, all of them trying to convince that they were the best for her. They, in fact, were so wrapped up in the fight, that they didn’t even see Viviane walking away from them while pretending to shake dirt from her hands.
“Wow,” Ivan, Vivian’s father muttered after his daughter’s performance. He had never seen anything like that from his sweet child, but he couldn’t help but laugh.
“Young men better watch out when Vivian is old enough to take a mate, because with the looks she inherited from her mother, and that killer sense of wit from her father, she is going to be ferocious.” Bucky said, the whole table agreeing.
Gabriel was speechless. He had just witnessed something that made him so utterly confused. He was a young man; seven years older then this girl, but he couldn’t help feel a tingle of lust. He knew how that sounded, completely perverted, but he would rather admit that he only had lusty feelings to her, and wasn’t falling in love. He couldn’t be falling in love, but somewhere deep inside of him he knew he was. Vivian was no ordinary girl. She was more beautiful then any women he had ever seen. She was tall for her age, so she could pass for sixteen if she wanted to. Though she was young, she still had curves and she was shapely, her long legs magnifying her hourglass figure. She had tawny hair that flowed to her back, and beautiful large eyes. She had most definitely got her amazing looks from her striking mother, Esme, but her looks were not the only amazing thing. She was smart, not just book smart, but really clever and more then the natural teen. She was quick with wit, and even quicker to pounce with it against you, if she didn’t like you. She was thirteen, but at the same time, seemed so much older.
It seemed like more of a shock now, but when she would be older, like seventeen, or eight-teen, and he was around twenty-four, people would accept it. It was only now, when she was too young to think of a mate, that it seemed too strange, but until that time, he needed to erase these thoughts.
“Wait,” we heard Raff yell over the argument, “where did Vivie go?”
The men at the tables laughed as the group ran past them, trying to find the reason of their fight.”
“Are they gone now?” a small voice came from the empty side of the table. The men were shocked, Gabriel the most, as Vivian came out from underneath the table, brushing real dirt off of herself.
“They are,” Ivan laughed, “Really Vivie, was it necessary to use your power over them?”
“What power?” she asked.
“The power of your beauty, I mean really, the poor boys.” He was having fun yanking her chain, especially because she thought that he really felt that way.
“Oh don’t poor boy them!” she scowled, “ Maybe that can’t help the way my looks affect them, but that doesn’t give them a right to be jerks! Boundaries really need to be made for them. Like a ‘Persona space’ rule, or how about ‘Not annoy Vivian to the point of suicide’!”
She huffed, and couldn’t possible look anymore adorable, concluded Gabriel.
“Vivie! Finally, we found you!” With a look of horror, she turned at the voice of Raff.
“You really shouldn’t be so mean.” Ulf spoke, and then told her how they had been looking for her.
“Really? Must not have heard you,” Sarcasm dripping from her voice.
“Oh don’t be like that Vivie,” Gregory whined.
“Really, shouldn’t you be off…I don’t know, setting things on fire, or breaking-an-entry? Maybe killing off the few remaining brain cells?” she asked, completely serious.
Gabriel tried to choke down the laugh, but is still could be heard, and then Axel gave him a death glare.
Things were going to get interesting.
