A/N: Morning! -Chews on her waffle- Well, actually, even now it's not morning. I'd just like to point out that I was actually up before noon today.

Anywho.

This is a BlaiseDraco fic. Because I was roleplaying as Blaise.. and my Uke was roleplaying as Draco. Simple, eh? I was bored last night and decided to write it up. Chapters one through four are already written. Five reviews for the next chapter, please and thank you.

"Speech."

"Thoughts."

It was the start of a brand new year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, new first years were flooding the halls looking determinedly confused, the ghosts were having a field-day introducing everyone to everything, every single student in the school was buzzing with the sheer joy of being back at the school they loved so much with so many new things to learn and see. Except one. As everyone who'd been within screaming distance of the boy and wasn't completely deaf knew, Blaise Zabini was bored. In short, he had nothing and no one to do.

He'd had a boring summer, his mother had been away courting her latest love interest and he had been stuck at home with no one for company but the family House-Elf, Gina. She was respectful enough but she simply couldn't hold a conversation, she'd agree politely with his opinions on everything and was almost constantly offering him something to eat. Blaise needed someone to interest him and at the moment all he had was Pansy Parkinson, a slim girl with black hair who seemed to share his tastes in most things, Blaise was amazed that he hadn't spoken to her in years previously. Pansy had matured over the summer, both mentally and physically, and seemed to have abandoned her crush on Draco in favour of searching for someone who was actually interested in her. Sensible girl. They were currently sitting in the comfortable arm chairs in front of the fire in the Slytherin common rooms, talking about boredom.

Blaise sighed,

“You see Pansy, dearest, I'm bored. Everyone I'd even consider chasing would be too easy.. I need someone to occupy me.” Pansy nodded in her understanding way which somehow managed to put Blaise at ease,

“You need a challenge.” Blaise was happy to finally have someone who understood his plight for an interesting partner,

“But a challenge that would be worth the effort, you know?” He sighed and looked to her desperately, hoping that she knew someone that would be perfect for him. He held dim hopes.

At that moment, unnoticed by everyone but Pansy, Draco Malfoy entered the room, scowling. He spoke in an annoyed mutter,

“I'm fed up with that Potter he's so . . .” Draco sighed irritably, “Annoying.” Pansy suddenly looked away from Draco and back to Blaise, grinning. She spoke in a quiet voice so that no one could hear them, but it was easy for Blaise to tell that she was excited,

“What about Draco?” Pansy knew that Blaise was bisexual, as he had had a string of unsuccessful relationships with both boys and girls, none lasting more than two weeks. Blaise just waved a hand dismissively at Pansy,

“Draco's straight.”

“Hence the challenge.” Pansy was grinning shamelessly now, looking to Blaise for his answer. Blaise looked up to her and blinked several times before a grin to match hers slowly spread across his face,

“I love you. Really, I do.”

Pansy smirked, “Save the love for the blonde over there, go on, get your molesting hat on.” Blaise did not, nor hoped to ever, own a molesting hat. But the meaning was clear. He'd found an outlet for his sexual frustration. Draco, meanwhile, had made his way over to them and was looking at them with a mildly confused expression,

“What are you two grinning about? It's the first day of school...” Blaise all but launched himself out of his chair, walking the remaining distance over to Draco and sounding incredibly pleased to see him,

“Draco!” Blaise wrapped his arms around the other boy, pulling him against him into a friendly hug. Draco stiffened instantly. He tried to move but he couldn't. So he instantly suspected Blaise and tried to sound as threatening as someone completely immobilised and pressed against their captor can do,

“I swear, if this is some kind spell, it had better stop right now. Remove yourself or I shall be forced to do it for you.” Blaise pulled back as if burned, looking into Draco's eyes innocently,

“No spell, no jinx, no curse or hex. Just a hug.” He allowed a touch of hurt to show at the edge of his voice, “...You don't like hugs?”

“No from you I don't. What are you, some kind of queer?” Blaise just shook his head slowly and walked back over to Pansy and his seat muttering quietly enough for it to be perceived as only to her, but loud enough for Draco to hear,

“Merlin, only in-the-closet gay guys freak out so much about hugs..” Pansy nodded in agreement, fighting the urge to smirk at the look on Draco's face. He was glaring at Blaise's back as if tempted to curse him, and his eye was twitching slightly.

“I'm not in the closet, I'm very happy with my straight sexuality, so go and find some other guy to molest.” Draco crossed his arms over his chest and huffed. Blaise say back down in his seat and looked up to Draco, smirking lightly,

“Maw, Draco. You know I wouldn't do that. You're the only one for me.” Blaise tilted his head to the side slightly and smiled pleasantly at Draco. Pansy giggle-snorted.

... It's going to be an interesting year”

A/N: Just an intro, really. Chapter four's the longest. It gets better, believe me. Reviews make me happy. Well, slightly less bad-tempered, anyway.
