Naruto knew he was alone. He could see it in everyone’s eyes. He was shunted, ostracized. He didn’t know why though. He was only a child after all.

A child shouldn’t have to know the cruelties of the world that early.

He isn’t alone though.

Sasuke is alone too. He’s alone in a different way though.

He had family, he knew what it was like to be loved unconditionally. He knew what it was like and loss was that much more painful. He’ll always remember when his brother became a monster in his eyes.
