“I love you”, Jack whispered, burying his face in the crook of Zack’s shoulder. “Why?” Jack didn’t answer, just held onto his lover in a crushing embrace.

When Angela found Hodgins and Zack making out on the lab table, she just shook her head and said, “Boys will be boys.”

Jack loudly proclaimed that Zack was a coy little bugger in bed, but nobody believed him.

Dead

“Zack Addy was killed in the explosion…” Hodgins gasped a desperate breath and sobbed into Angela’s welcoming arms. Escape

Zack took the bus to Angela’s and knocked on her door nervously. “Honey, is that you? Jack’s looking for you everywhere, he’s frantic!” Zack looked up at her though tear stained lashes. “Ang, you got to help me.” “Help you with what? Food

Hodgins watched in satisfaction as Zack munched on his side salad. It was a big improvement from ramen and candy bars.

Zack didn’t believe in God, but he didn’t complain when Jack dragged him to Church once a month and he let him put the angel on top of their Christmas tree.

Home

The fist time that Zack said, grit in his eyes and dark circles under his eyes, “Come on Jack, we’re not going to figure this out tonight, let’s go home,” he followed simply because he was still on cloud nine from that one word, home.

Incoherent

When Jack asked Zack to marry him all he could do was mumble incoherently between frantic kisses.

Joy

“Just leave him alone, give him his joy!” Mrs. Addy yelled to her husband who gave his son one last ferocious punch.

“I love you,” Jack whispered, cradling Zack’s bruised body close and thanked god that that was the last they’d see of that dreaded hospital.

Everybody and there mother is there for the wedding, and Zack looks at all his friends and family that came to see him get married to the most important person in his world and doesn’t even let his missing father ruin that perfect sweet kiss that Hodgins gives him.

Noise

They both have learned not to make a lot of noise when doing it in Angela’s office.

Tranquility

The Hodgins-Addy family had found, in-between tripping over Barbie dolls, the occasional death threat, and more late night and headaches that you can imagine, seemed to have found their own little piece of tranquility.

Sam got married when she was twenty three to a leather wearing biker dude. Dad nearly had a heart attack, but Papa just laughed long and hard before giving his blessing and guiding Dad onto the couch. But he had an IQ of a 198 so Dad got over it.

X-Ray

After too many X-rays and MRIs to count, they finally confirmed brain cancer. Papa paid for the best doctors in the world to cone halfway across the country to perform the operation that would save his husband’s life, and it paid off in the end because Zack, in the long run, was okay.

Zodiac

On there 50th wedding anniversary Jack thrust the 50 year-old horoscope in Zack’s face triumphantly, the words “The love you have today will last fifty years and then some, but only if you never tell why you love.” “That’s why I never told you,” Jack muttered as Zack frowned, “I didn’t want to risk it, but now our love will last us to our death, and then we’ll reincarnate and fall in love all over again.” Zack laughed and pulled Jack in for a kiss. “Superstitious idiot, it would have happened anyway.
