Bad Blood

Chapter One

Un-dead

The Time Lord crouched down on his hunkers at the edge of a high building, scanning the city of Croydon with his dark and dead eyes. He began to feel his stomach and tongue yearning for that satisfying sensation of fresh, sweet, hot blood oozing down into his guts, making him become stronger than normal and lustful for more.

He did not want to attack the humans. Even though they tasted ever so sweet – depending on their desire to become one or not, submit or fight back – the Time Lord had no intention on harming anymore, not anymore. He had lived and seen the horrors he had caused to so many lives, watching them and hearing them scream for mercy. He gave them none.

The Time Lord stood up straight, flexing out his arms and then adjusting his long scarf around his mouth and over his nose. He then tilted his black fedora over the front of his eyes. The darkly dressed man didn’t want to go into hiding any longer. He had been for far too long and people that knew him will start to wonder where he had gone to, and if he were ever coming back.

“It is time you know of me, Sarah. I can’t continue running away from the universe like this.” He murmured sorrowfully, closing his eyes and then thinking of that one human lady he loves so much, Sarah Jane Smith. But first, my needs are to be fulfilled. He turned his back on the city; the Time Lord’s coat and scarf were twirling and flowing behind him like broken wings.

His stomach rumbled and bubbled again, he placed a hand over the aching emptiness. Once the dead alien left the building completely, he was on a search for that satisfactory. It was degrading in his past when he had to reduce himself into feasting on small creatures, such as rats and kittens. He wasn’t planning on living like a savage creature he was before, he wanted to change.

A great amount of his humanity was still left in him; the rest had been converted into a blood sucking demon of the night, and of the day. It was what saved his life; his conscience was getting to him, biting him back and leaving him into a state where he could not face himself, and the universe, any longer.

This time, the Time Lord has come to give himself a second chance in becoming the galactic hero, despite of his darker side. Now he knew how that vampire felt whenever he needed to save Earth from monsters of all shapes and sizes. But unlike the Time Lord, he did not need to have any sexual intercourse to bring out the worse in him. Angel, he thinks the TV show’s name is.

It was about midnight, and all things dark and dangerous showed be uprising by now. There were more than just aliens and megalomaniac scientist out there, the supernatural was true. Stories of vampires, werewolves and evil witches have become a reality and the Time Lord felt as if he was the only that could stop them.

The Time Lord spotted his usual stop to get his feast. A butcher shop was always opened at this time for him and him only. The owner of the butchers, Allan Mc Duffy, knew about vampires from the back of his hand – like his old man.

His father knew these species better than he did, and Allen was only there just to supply him with the animal blood.

The Time Lord opened the door of the butchers and stood by the counter. He tapped on the small bell to get some service. Allan was a short and stern looking man, with soft eyes and a hard expression on his face. He looked at the Time Lord and smirked. “What do you want, pigs blood? cow’s blood? sheep’s blood? You name it and I’ll get it.”

“Just the usual, Allan. Thank you.” He smiled behind his scarf.

“No problem.” He nodded and turned his back to get the Time lord his feast.

The Time Lord waited for his ordered, Allen came back quickly with the substance. He placed the plastic, blood bag on the counter and watched the Time Lord pick it up.

“Hay, Fangs, I was meant to ask you somethin’.” Allen said to him.

“Yeah?”

“Are you still planning on meeting the young lady?” Allen questioned curiously.

“I’m planning on exposing myself to her, tonight. She’ll have to know about me sooner or later.” The Time Lord answered back, stuffing the blood into his pocket. “I’ll talk to you later, Allen. Thanks again for the blood.”

“No problem, Fangs.” He smirked and watched the Time Lord making his exist.
