animehamster: -sniffs- I will one-day… -starts plotting-

All: -sweat drops- Oh dear…

Preface

Angel’s P.O.V.

I’ve never given much thought to how it would all end, even if I had much reason to these past few weeks. A war between Heaven, Hell, and Death. Because of one mistake, the world was torn between the two. Because angels and demons weren’t supposed to live in harmony. Because two immortal beings fell in love.

I watched, with him in my arms dying, as the final three players were finishing their game. Perhaps if we died together, we would finally have peace. I looked down into his darkening eyes as the world came to an end. Our friends, family, village … burned down to the ground … all lost in a sea from they will never surface again.

So many people dead because of our sin, so many futures lost because of one lost love, so many fragile and innocent things disappeared with our meeting. I could only think about love and how it was supposed to be the most powerful thing in the world … and how it failed me countless times.

I stroke my lover’s cheek in a last, desperate attempt to abolish our mistakes. I kissed his poisoned mouth, his drooping eyelids, and rejoiced at the fact that I would soon join him. It was Romeo and Juliet all over again. My heart pounded with adrenaline as one of the players fell.

A strike of lightning, a burst of lava, and the seeping gas of rotting things. As I looked onwards to the fight of an eternity, I still had one last question that would never rest, that would never be answered…

“What have we done?”

Selina: -sweat drops- Are you like a masochist or something?!

animehamster: In the painful way, yeah!

Selina: -face vaults- Don’t be so cheerful about that!

Hinata: Well, this preface beats the prologue… I think.

animehamster: I just wanted to try a preface this time. –smiles-

Naruto: -sweat drops- You act like an optimistic pessimist and that scares me…

All: How do you know those big words?!

Naruto: -vein pops- I’m not that stupid!

Selina: You sure fooled us!

Hinata: Please be nice to Naruto-kun!

Naruto: Hinata-chan! –hugs her-
