Disclaimer: I don’t own them and I make no money from their usage!
A/N: I actually found that I owned the first Harry Potter book when looking for something to read yesterday, so I decided to read it thought it could help a little with my writing and understanding the characters better as up till now I only ever saw parts of some of the movies. The books are SO much better then the movies I never thought I would like them or get into them and it was only extreme boredom that had me reading it yesterday at all, but I got into it and yesterday after noon I bought the second two books and I finished the first book in a few hours and am now half way through the second book and this idea came to me! I have never seen anything like this before so I wrote it!

Beware the Red head and the Wooden Spoon
OoOoOoOoOo
Mrs. Weasley stood over the stove mixing the stew for dinner with a wooden spoon. The children had just been seen off at Kings Cross and she had no real need to use magic to make dinner when it was just to be her and Arthur eating. That and she always needed some sort of distraction when the children first went back to school, manually cooking dinner was just as good a distraction as any, the children could be trying on the best of days but she missed them terribly when they were off at school, and this year even her baby girl Ginny had been packed up and sent off to Hogwarts. The strict mother of seven was unaccustomed to not having a single child in the house and it was unnerving to her.
There was also the small added drama of, upon attempting to leave Kings Cross they had discovered that their car had been stolen, this was made even more stressful for the fact that Arthur had charmed the car to fly, if the stupid muggle who stole the bloody thing stumbled on its enchantments before the police found it, it would take the ministry weeks to undo the damage, not to mention that they had to involve the muggle police to report the thing stolen. That had pleased Arthur far more then Molly had been able to tolerate and she had resorted to cuffing the man upside the head to keep him from being too suspicious about his unfamiliarity, and fascination with the muggle law protocol.
She was so angry at Arthur’s behavior!
She had not been happy when she had discovered that the car her husband had bought under the pretenses of research (“I swear Molly dear I only want to take it apart and see how it works.”) had been charmed by said husband to fly and Merlin only knows what else, doing the very thing it was his job to prevent others from doing.
It had only angered her further when he had defended his actions by explaining the loopholes he himself had written into the laws so he could do that very thing. She hated when he made her feel as if she had an eighth child instead of a husband. She would absolutely kill her husband if things got messy because of his actions with that car.
She wouldn’t even get into the fact that she had felt very much like standing her husband, nose in a corner after he had started that fight with Lucius Malfoy in Flourish and Blotts, right in front of the children and Gilderoy Lockhart to boot.
One more thing, just one more thing today and Molly was sure her head would pop…
It seemed however that the powers that be where conspiring against poor Molly Weasley, this evening as no sooner had that thought occurred to her did a small owl that Molly could easily recognize as a Hogwarts owl (Dumbledore had sent home more notes about the twins then all her other children put together, in fact she was sure it was probably more writing then Dumbledore had done to all other parents put together in his entire career at Hogwarts.) came flying through the window. She cringed as the owl swooped down and she wondered with dread what the twins could have possibly done before they had even attended their first class of the term.
‘So help me if they stole a toilet seat…’ Molly didn’t have time to finish that thought before the owl dropped the letter it had been holding in its mouth nearly adding it to her stew. She reached her hand out with the well-honed reflexes of a mother who had raised seven active red headed children and caught the letter before it could make itself an ingredient in her supper.
She held her breath as she opened the letter with official Hogwarts seal and read it her face going a deeper red with every line she read.
With a loud angry ‘WHOOSH’ she let out the breath that she had been holding throughout reading the entire thing. She then took in another filling her lungs all the way in order to bellow…
“ARTHUR WEASLEY!”
Mr. Weasley entered the room a decidedly nervous expression on his face; his children were not the only Weasleys afraid to anger Molly.
“Yes Dear?” He said with a coolness he most definitely did not feel.
Molly turned from the stove brandishing the stew-covered spoon in one hand and the letter from the school in the other.
“Do you have any idea what trouble that car of yours has caused!” She shrieked at him waving the spoon menacingly in his face.
“Oh, they found it!” Arthur said but then he noticed the Hogwarts letter in Molly’s other hand and his face fell.
“What happened?” he asked pointing to the letter.
“What happened? What happened you ask?” Molly screeched.
“Your son, your son Ron, and Harry flew that car to the school!” she said her voice going up another octave.
‘My son?’ Arthur thought bemusedly, briefly wondered why they became ‘his’ children when they had done something wrong. This line of thinking of Molly’s caused him to often wonder if he had single handedly fathered the twins.
Wizards where capable of many spectacular things but he had never heard of a case where a Wizard had, had a child without any help from a female. Besides he had been around during all six of Molly’s pregnancies and births, so he knew for a fact she was had been very much involved with all of their children’s creations. Though it seemed she only wanted credit for this when they where well behaved. However he was not going to bring that up at this very moment.
“It made it all the way Hogwarts!” Arthur said with a mixture of amusement and pride, a wide smile on his face.
This however was also not the right thing to say, not by a long shot, and Arthur quickly discerned this for himself as Molly swiftly closed the short distance between herself and her husband dropping the letter (but keeping firm hold on the spoon) and roughly grabbed his arm marching over to the battered old couch she yanked him along with her, sitting she easily pulled the now off balanced Mr. Weasley down over her lap.
Wasting no time she brought the wooden spoon down hard over his threadbare black trousers with a thwap and a squash as stew sprayed all over. He let out a loud yelp and attempted to squirm away, but Molly had done this many times before and she was a strong lady, she had no issues keeping a firm grip around his waist thwarting his attempt to escape as she continued to bring the spoon down on it’s wriggling target.
Arthur was sure his wife had lost it and somehow mistaken him for Fred or George. She was spanking him, him an adult her husband. He decided to try and reason with her, even if it was becoming very apparent that, that would not be an easy thing as the spoon scorched his bottom. He was convinced one of Charlie’s Dragons could not burn his bum as badly as his wife and that spoon!
“Molly! Molly! Stop, OWWW come on stop, I’m not one of the children!” He tried as he attempted to cover his arse by putting his hand back.
She quickly grabbed the offending hand out of the way holding it to the small of his back.
“Not” SWAT “one of” SWAT “the children? SWAT SWAT “Could have” SWAT “fooled me!” She commented bringing the spoon down hard.
“Molly this is OWWW not right!” He gasped wriggling about.
“Hmm, yes you are right dear I seem to be doing this all wrong.” She said, pausing the descent of the spoon only long enough to reach under her husband to undo his trousers yanking down both them and his boxers, she nodded her head at the bare bottom in approval at the shade of pink its flesh had taken on.
“There, much better!” She said, bringing the spoon down with renewed vigor all over her husband’s bare bum.
“OWW Molly please!” He gasped, damn that spoon was hard and Molly was not pulling her blows.
She lowered her left knee and raised her right exposing his sit spots and targeted them as she lectured.
“You enchanted that car!” SWAT SWAT “You know better” SWAT “then to do things” SWAT “like that!” SWAT SWAT “It’s your job” SWAT “to prevent” SWAT “things like this” SWAT SWAT “from happening.” SWAT “not enable them!” She scolded and Arthur yelped and wriggled as the spoon hit down over and over again on his sensitive sitting spot.
“OOOWWW Merlin, Molly, Please stop I get it!!” he gasped as the tears that had made their way into his eyes started to fall down his cheeks and he could no longer hold back the small sobs.
Molly brought the spoon down a few more times before stopping. She slowly rubbed her husbands back, putting the spoon down she righted his clothing before pulling him up to sit on the couch next to her. He let out a small hiss as his bottom contacted the couch. Putting her arm around him she pulled him into her and held him as his tears continued to fall.
“They could have been killed Arthur!” She said tears in her own eyes.
“You’re right, I’m Sorry. I promise I’ll be more careful, but at least we don’t have to worry about it having fallen into muggle hands. Sorting out muggles is difficult work, oh all the memory charms that would be needed… ” He said laying his head on her shoulder.
The moment he said that as if on cue Errol came swooping in with the evening prophet which Molly caught. Her eyes went wide as she showed her husband the front-page news.
“They were seen by muggles!” She gasped and Arthur frowned, instinctually covered his bottom in fear of more swats at this new development.
“This is going the take the Ministry weeks to cover.” He groaned.
Molly sighed and hugged her husband tight, it was going to be very difficult for him at work for a while and she just could not stay mad at him especially since she had spanked him.
“It will work out.” She told him soothingly holding him tight snuggling him close.
He sniffled and gave his wife a watery smile, it would be hell at work but Molly was right it would work out.
“What are you going to do about the boys?” He asked her.
She looked at him with a determined yet sad smile “Do we have any Howler paper?”
