Summary: Without Jack the tension in Torchwood is growing

A/N: Same thing as season 1, a drabble from Owen and Gwen’s point of view for each episode. Owen’s POV. First episode of series 2.

“Jack’s not here.” Owen’s tone was sharper than he intended. Weeks without Jack had left them all on edge; testy and vulnerable. And Gwen had turned to the place she always went when she was vulnerable. Owen’s bed. Or his car. Or anywhere they had privacy.

But that was before Rhys had proposed. Now both she and Owen were equally testy. The tension in the car between the two of them, the overcompensating Tosh and the moping Ianto was close to boiling over. Owen’s hand occasionally slipping on to Gwen’s knee wasn’t helping either. She looked torn between shooting him and jumping him.
