STEPHIE POV

'Welcome To Tulsa, Oklahoma,' a big sign that looked as old as dirt read as I pulled off the interstate. I sighed in relief. I've been on the road for two and half weeks and was finally here. If I had had enough money then I would have took a train or somthin' but all the money I get goes to Gabe's hospital fund.

Nice nieghborhoods and department stores were on all sides but I already knew if I wanted to find him, I would have to look in the trashy part. The part of town that is full of poor people who never get a brake. I, for one, knew this side far too well.

Ten more minutes and I'm right where I need to be. One problem though, I'm on empty. I, luckly was able to brake down right in front of a gass station called The DX.

"Need some help little lady?" A guy with curly black hair asked. Even though he was covered in grease, I hugged him.

"Thank you!" I said as I sqeezed him to death.

Grunting in surprise, he wrapped his arms around me, still startled. "OK."

I could feel a blush form on my face. "I'm sorry but you're the first guy that has been friendly in almost three weeks and I got a little over excited."

"No problem." He said with a great smile. "Name's Steve."

"Stephie." I say as I returned the smile. Of course it's my fake smile. I haven't shown a true smile since Gabe was shot.

"Well I'm gonna push your car up closer to the gas pumps and fill her up. You can go inside and wait if you want, it's so fuckin' hot out here." Steve said and I nod, heading into the small store.

Sitting at a counter is like the hottest guy I've ever seen. He's stacking empty Pepsi bottles up on top of one another and looks bored out of his mind. God he's hot!

SODA'S POV

I sighed. Two twenty. I still had nearly an hour before I left. Today has been one of the slowest days in history of the DX. OK, maybe I'm over reacting but hey, it's summer and I'm stuck at work playing with soda bottles.

The bell above the enter door rang and I look up excited. Thank God! Human life form!

"Hi." She says shyly as she checks me out. I grin at her, making her blush a little.

"Hiya!" I say excitedly. "What can I get you?"

She grinned but something was wrong with it. It was like a plastic one. One to fool people when you say you're fine when you're not. I don't know, maybe I've been talkin' to Pony to much. He's startin' to make me think too much.

"The guy, uh Steve, said he was gonna fill my car up and told me I could cool off in here." She said as she looked out the window.

"That's cool. Want somethin' to drink?" I asked her as I walked over to the cooler. "I'm Sodapop, but you can just call me Soda."

"Oh no thank you. I really don't have much." She said as she took a seat at the table by the door. "I'm Stephanie, but you can call me Stephie."

"It's OK, you can have it for free. Got plenty more." I told her with my famous smile.

"You don't hav-" She started but I cut her off.

"Nonsence." I say as I handed her a Pepsi. "It's too hot to be out in the heat with nothin' to drink."

She looked ready to argue but decided not to. Insted took it and smiled. "Thank you sir."

I laughed and looked around. "Are you talkin' to me? I'm way too young to be called sir."

She smiled. "Sorry. All the people I saw on the road were old people and a couple of them freaked out when I didn't show them respect. Kinda became a habbit."

"How old are you?" I asked her.

"Sixteen." The moment she said it I knew she was lyin'. I raised a brow and after a few minutes she finally cracked.

"OK, OK. I'm fourteen but I'll be fifthteen in a few months." She said. "Please, just don't go to the police about this. I was desprite to get here and by car was the only way I could afford it."

"I wouldn't go to the fuzz about it. You seem OK enough." I told her and she sighed in relief. "Why did you travel all this way to get to this stinky old town?"

She sighed. "It's a long story."

I pulled up a chair. "I got time."

She sighed again. "OK, basically I'm searching for my older brother who ran off to here seven years ago and a family crisis has come up and he needs to come home for a little while."

"What's his name? I might know him." I asked.

"Dallas. Dallas Winston." she said and I literately fell out the chair.

"Are you OK?" She asked in concern. "Do you know him?"

When I regained control of myself, I nodded. "Yeah, he's one of my buddies. He never said anything about having a little sister." I said still in shock. I guess they do look alike. They both have snow white hair except her's is wavey and curly at the bottom and goes to her waist. Their eyes are different though. Dally's eyes are cold and ice blue. Her's are green and are sad looking. Like she's lost her best friend or somethin'.

She smiled sadly. "I didn't think he would."

"All done." Steve said as he came in. "What?" He asked when he saw my face. I guess it's still showing the shock I feel.

"Steve this is Stephie, Dally's little sister." I say and Steve nearly falls to the ground.

Stephie giggles. "What's up with you guys? Is this that big of a deal?" She asks.

"Y-Yeah!" Steve and I both say at the same time.

"He's the most feared hood in Tulsa besides the Shepards." Steve says as he sits down next to us, still in a daze.

A smile formed on her lips. "So nothin' to big has changed with him. He's still on the devils side."

I laughed. "Yeah, I guess you could put it that way."

"Do y'all know where I might happen to find him?" She asked sweetly.

"He'll be here any minute. I called half an hour ago for him to pick up a friend's car," Steve said.

"I don't see how y'all are related. You're way to sweet." I told her and she laughed.

"Oh yeah! Wait till I tell the gang in Brooklynn this!" She clapped, actually giving a true laugh insted of her fake ones this time.

Steve and I laughed just as Dallas walked in.

"Where's Buck's car?" he asked as he glanced at us. "Gee, y'all just can't keep the ladies away from y'all, can you?"

Stephie got up and stood about three feet away from him. She didn't even go up to his shoulders. She just looked in his eyes and smirked.

"Hey Dallas. Remember me?" She asked in a tough voice.

He just glared down at her. "I've done a lot of broads, I can't memerize all of them."

That's when I truely thought she was dead. She reached up and slapped him so hard across the face, there was a red hand print on his right side of his face.

"You little bitch!" Dally said as he placed a hand on his face, glaring dangerously at his sister.

"Thank you." She said with an angry smirk. "I'm not one of those little hoes you screw, so get it right!"

He looked more closely at her and shock came across his face. "Laura?" A teasing smile formed over his lips.

She looked even angryer at him. "Dalikins!"

He picked her up around the waist and tworld her around. "Stephie Lauralie Winston, what in the world are you doin' in Tulsa.

They both laughed. "Put me down Dalifur before I break your nose!" She laughed.

I have never herd Dally laugh before. Who am I kidding, I've never seen him so happy. They both looked so happy.

"So what are you doing here?" He asks when he puts her back down.

She tried to glare up at him while she fixs her skirt and tank top but ends up smiling.

"Save that thought. Let's go to my house since Steve and I are off now." I pipped in. With that said, we headed on to my house.
