Last Time
“Because…” she stopped as he glanced up quickly at the window to see Brooke, excusing herself outside “…because she deserves better then me; I’m just the stupid lesbian friend who gets a crush on her best friend out of a whim or something,”
“How long have you loved her?” he asked as Brooke stopped short not too close to the scene but enough to hear what they were saying.
“For as long as I’ve known her; even during high school; but you don’t understand Lucas, I can’t just go up to her and say Brooke Penelope Davis I’m madly in love with you,” Rachel said, causing Brooke’s mouth to drop in shock.
“It wasn’t that hard,” he said making a motion for her to turn around to see Brooke behind her.
Rachel felt as if hell froze over twice when she sat there, just staring at the brunette. Brooke looked freaked out by what she just heard from the red head and Rachel couldn’t blame her, it’s a lot to process. She did know one thing was for sure, she was getting the hell out of that house as quickly as possible and away from this town.
Rachel got up quickly looking back at the blonde man near her “Thanks a lot Luke,” she mumbled, dusting herself off then walked out quickly, passing the shocked brunette. Brooke knew she liked her the same way, but she wasn’t sure how she would handle having a relationship with another woman, especially one with one of her best friends.
Best friends make the best lovers, she thought as she continued to stand there as Lucas continued staring at her confused. She averted her eyes at him deep in thought. “Thanks Luke,” she whispered to him.
“What did I do?” he asked “I ruined yours and Rachel’s friendship by getting her to confess her feelings. I don’t think you should be thanking me, you should be killing me,” he told her, laughing slightly “But do it gently,” he added, closing his eyes.
“I’m not gonna hurt you because you saved a lot of time and patience, that I never wanted to waste,” she just said, before walking inside the house.
Just as she got in, Haley came towards her and grabbed her by the arm with a concerned look on her face. Brooke’s guess was that it had to do with Rachel storming out of the house and sure enough it was. “What’s up with Red? She just walked in from the patio and stormed out without saying goodbye or anything,” Brooke sighed, knowing the reason; obviously, but she didn’t want to have to explain it; she didn’t have time to.
“I’ll tell you tomorrow. Tell Jamie, Nathan, and Lindsay goodbye for me, but I gotta go, so I’ll see you later,” Brooke told her quickly, grabbing her jacket then ran out the door. She remember then that she didn’t drive there, that Rachel did, so she began walking towards hers and Peyton’s place, quickly.
When the apartment finally got into view, she began running quickly to it, unlocked the door and walked in. Peyton was in there on the couch and when she saw Brooke she immediately got up to talk to her, when the brunette was already half way up the stairs.
“She’s gone Brooke,” Peyton called, causing her to walk back down to face her friend.
“What do you mean she’s gone?” Brooke yelled loudly, in an upset angry tone.
“She stormed in, told me thanks for everything, but she’s leaving tomorrow morning. She said something about having a photo shoot,” Brooke sighed, walking down the stairs slowly towards the couch. She sat down and ran her hand over her hair.
“Why is loving her so hard?” she whispered more to herself, but Peyton sat down next to her, placing her arm around her shoulder.
“Brooke, love has always been hard, especially when it comes to that redhead. But she isn’t gone yet and it’s up to you to fight your way to her heart while you’re there,” she told her wisely, making Brooke look over at her.
She nodded “Yeah…remember what her apartment number is?” she asked looking up at her again after thinking a few things through, which made Peyton smile widely.

“Stupid Lucas…always getting in the damn way and ruining everything. I was just fine until he had to force the feelings out of me,” Rachel mumbled as she packed some of her things in her hotel room that she never ‘checked-out’ of.
As Rachel continued this, a knock was heard at her door. She prayed that it wasn’t Peyton, considering she was the only one that knew her room number. She really just wanted to leave, painlessly and not talk to anyone in this town anymore. The quicker she left, the quicker people will forget what she ever said.
Once she opened the door she saw Brooke in front of her. She wanted to so badly shut the door on her, but really she didn’t do anything wrong.
Except being incredibly beautiful and sweet, she thought. Brooke took a deep breath, letting it out as her eyes adverted to the floor.
“Can I come in?” she asked her.
“Why?” Rachel replied, folding her arms “There’s nothing to say,”
“Rachel, we can’t pretend that you didn’t say that you weren’t in love with me,” she told her, walking into the hotel room, leaving the redhead by the door, who eventually closed it. “You’re leaving?” she questioned something she already knew.
“People don’t want me here anyway,” she mumbled.
“Quit the bullshit! Rachel, you leave when things get hard because you’re too afraid to face it. Well you know what you’re not alone in this. You didn’t let me explain anything before you left,” she yelled in her face.
Rachel knew all of that. She knew she ran away when things got hard for her, just so she didn’t face them. One day she’s living life, something happens, she leaves, then she comes back when people least expect it. “So what then; I already know you don’t feel anything romantic for me and I can accept that,”
Brooke couldn’t handle her bullshit any longer, so she just grabbed her face and pulled her into her, kissing her deeply and hard. Before they knew it, they were both on the bed, making out as Rachel laid underneath Brooke.
Brooke crept her hands under Rachel’s shirt, not breaking the kiss once. “You’re better then you think,” the redhead muttered into the brunette’s mouth, making her pull away and begin to laugh.
“Great now you’ve caught me off guard and I’m blushing like crazy,” she told her, with her head resting on the girl’s shoulder. Rachel ran her hand through the brunette’s hair in a soothing way.
“Sorry,” she whispered “Does this mean you love me back?” she asked her, causing Brooke to look up at her with glassy eyes.
“If you don’t leave…please stay with me,” she breathed out, making Rachel sigh and stare at her. She nodded, knowing she never wanted to be away from her ever again.
“Yeah, yeah I’ll stay,” she told her, causing Brooke to pull herself down to her lips, kissing her with much passion.
Within time, clothes were thrown in all ways of the hotel room and motions from under the covers were seen. Both women experiencing something they’ve only dreamt of. People never expected this at all, but things aren’t what they seemed. Brooke knew Rachel would treat her right; someway she knew. Brooke also knew for sure, she’d totally treat the redhead right, just being herself. She is willing to love her best friend, no matter what anyone says; she’s in love with Rachel Virginia Gattina…
I know, not very long but I really didn't want to keep you all waiting any longer with her reaction. Also I didn't want to get graphic with this, but you all got the concept; they spent the night together. If you want me to make an M-rated chapter, I will; I'm not
But thank you for reviewing and being patient and I hope you all review and continue to read and what not. There's more, so please be patient; thanks.
