Chapter 1) The day we met.
By the time I was ten I had moved all across the country, never really making any friends and being an only child only made my life that much loner. I never had much time to make friends at the schools I attended and if I did I had to move in a few months time so I never got to know them as well as I liked. I couldn’t blame my dad though the life of a doctor was a hectic one. But when we did finally settle we had settled in a small town my mom had always wanted to live in a one and this was our chance I was ten and the town was in Washington, Forks the place my life would change forever.
My first day of school hadn’t been easy and I can still remember that. I had looked around the elementary school campus when my eyes had landed on a group of kids that were all different but they connected. It was something that I had always wanted to fit in with a group I looked at them and observed them. There was a blonde lanky boy with blue eyes who was wrestling with a slightly burlier boy burlier than most in our grade. And there were having fun even though from a distance it looked like the burlier one could easily kill the lanky one.
And the girls who were around them looked well off, there was a blonde one who looked a lot like the lanky blonde on the ground who was filing her nails while talking to a short little pixie like girl shorter than any girl who was in the fifth grade she was bouncing up and down slightly on the grass while talking to the blonde animatedly. I just stared at them until the bell rang signaling every one on the playground to go inside. I was about to follow them inside when I felt myself being knocked down.
I looked up to the predator he wasn’t burly or tall he was about my height but he packed a punch. I looked up at his face but didn’t see many feature because I felt a fist knock into my face. Great just what I needed on the first day to go down as the wimpy kid who couldn’t defend himself worth crap, he punched them a few more times then left laughing with some other guys. I was about to get up from the ground when I heard foot steps great just what I needed more people to kill me. But instead of being punched I heard a cute little soft musical voice hit my ears.
“I’m late!” She was about to run past me when she saw me. She looked down at me in curiosity. And I got a good look at her face she had deep chocolate brown eyes, soft pale gorgeous face, brown locks that looked so smoothed, and cherry colored lips.
“Déjà vu?”
“Huh?” I said back. She just held out her hand as if to help me up that’s when I noticed that she wore and simple pink shirt with a jean jacket, jeans and her shoes were untied. I grabbed her hand and heaved myself up. She looked at me still.
“Hm, pay no attention to Mike he does that to everyone new he’ll have a new victim by tomorrow.” She smiled at me I couldn’t help but to smile back. I let go of her hand.
“Who do you have for class?” I heard her ask me.
“Oh um Mr. Howe you?”
“I have another teacher but I’ll see you at recess and that’s when you can meet my other friends they’re really nice.” I nodded; I had thought of a question that I hadn’t thought to ask until now.
“What’s your name?”
“Isabella but you can call me Bella.” Bella I repeated that name in my mind I liked it, it suited her.
“I’m Edward.” She nodded and we kept walking to the doors leading inside. That’s how I had met my first official friend the one who would change my life forever.
I found out who were the guys I saw wrestling earlier and the two girls talking turns out they were her friends. Emmett the burly one who although seemed tough on the outside was a class clown on the inside, Jasper the lanky one was quiet but could open up once you got to know him better, Rosalie was stuck up but she was a good friend who cared about everyone though she’d hate to admit it, and Alice the pixie girl her height wasn’t much but she held so much energy and enthusiasm you could see her as a ten foot something person.
They had all held a big impact in my life but no more than Bella she was the biggest of them my entire best friend. Thanks to them I had opened up and discovered what true friendship was. Just as I though life couldn’t get any better it came to and end. When Bella was fifteen she went away. We were only fifteen and freshmen.
