A Little World Of Women
It was the coldest day of winter and Jenningstown wasn't the same it had once been. Now it was a frigid place. Where cozy homes once stood with fires burning in the hearth, beckoning you, black and charred remains stood. The smell of fresh baked bread had filled the air, children played outside, and the preacher would be making his rounds. In the past, it had been a tender and loving town, people were always drawn to it like a moth to a flame but now its kindle was long gone. What happened, you ask? Well, I shall tell you...
It had happened on the hottest night of the year. Fireflies had been swarming around and a quiet peace had fallen as everyone made their ways to bed. After all had been quiet a disturbance racked the air. A black cloud had fallen with the arrival of horsemen, baring their 'gifts' of gunfire and hatred. Every man and boy was lined up on the street and shot one by one. Most of the women were assaulted, to put it lightly, and when all was said and done, they left as quickly as they came, leaving the shattered remains of a once beautiful past. Only ten women survived untouched by the groping hands of these demons to patch it back together but, as we all know, a patch can never make it the same as it was before...
