It Burns Him Out, These Desires
There are two girls in St. John’s life that he has grown fond of during his time with the Acolytes. He’s met with the both of them on different occasions, and obsession grows great. One is a dark beauty, so uncontrollable and wild. She’s like a little spitfire, raising to her anger, letting emotions take over all she can attempt to rush out at him. She’s fuelled by rage, and he loves it. He adores when he’s against her, because he loves seeing her mad. She absolutely sparks when red flushes onto her face. She gets frustrated, and simply tries to kill him. It gets his heart moving, his blood pumping fast, and he wants it to last longer than it does.
Fights with her team never last long, and he has regrets about that. He could go for hours against the girl with sapphire orbs. She’s always covered in deep scarlet, which also interests him. Red is a colour of passion, and it’s a colour of fire. She’s a living flame, if he wanted to metaphorical. She grows when people add to her, and he knows one day she’s going to be something huge. He’ll love her when she radiates, and he has to be there when it happens. There is nothing that says he cannot be.
The other girl is very much the opposite. She’s quiet, and she’s calm. She’s always nervous, he notices, and she lacks the passion of his other interest. She has no anger, and she’s barely a spark herself. Still, he’s interested, because unlike his spicy witch, this girl is an actual living flame. He could twist and change her; make her into something radiating without having to pause and wait for it to happen. No patience required.
He could make it occur with little effort, and the idea is most intriguing. Fire is what consumes him, and two different types of it are placed right in front of his very eyes. He has the one of just words, and he knows that feelings run deep for her. Wanda Maximoff; everything dark and special he could think of flows within her.
Amara Aquilla is so very calm for someone who could rage such destruction. He never gets to fight against her, as it holds no sense in battle. He could easily defeat her, even if he doesn’t want to. She interests him with her abilities, and he knows that he could make her into something magnificent. She’s just a growing flame, and this simple girl causes something twisted to overtake common sense or feeling. He wants to manipulate her, force her from human flesh into nothing but hot orange; a forever flame at his side.
So much thought goes into these girls. John often considers which one is better, and it always comes out even. Wanda has fire, but Amara is fire, and it’s all so conflicting. Which one is the better choice? He could have love with either of them, but he’s just chasing after the same thing. It might not even be them he wants, but simply the growing flames within them. His obsession takes over any normal human drives, and maybe he’s become so engulfed that he cannot see it. A burned victim constantly blinded by streaks of smoke.
Once just a boy, he’s now part of burning embers. They take over his will, his thoughts and maybe even his desires. He sees things in mixes of orange, red and yellow. It might explain his possible love interests, but it does not help anything. He does not know who he wants more.
Fiery girl, or girl a flame? He is unsure if he’ll ever decide it. For now, he can just sit, cackle and watch as they unfold before him. He can see Wanda spark and rage at him; he will watch her change into the radiating fire she is destined to be. He can witness Amara grow and become hotter as time goes on. He can watch as her powers evolve into something unstoppable. She's living flames that can never be put out.
Both choices make his heart throb, and St. John briefly wonders if all this affection he holds will ever be noticed. He just upsets them now, and maybe he’ll never get what he wants. Of course, in order to get that, he has to figure out who it is first. Options force his mind to be wrapped around only these thoughts most of his days. It takes over him.
They burn him out, these desires.
A/N: Okay, I have never written amyro before, and I have never seen it as the uber fluffy pairing as some people make it out to be. I have always thought it would be an extremely dark relationship if explored. Anyways, it’s just my take on it, and no one has to agree with it. It’s just my opinion ;D. I added in some Jonda, mostly because I was comparing them. I hope everyone likes it, as it was something new. This is dedicated to Valoofle as she inspired me to write it ;b
