Sanctuary of the Four

Last time, we all had noticed the weather was getting colder, which is strange, because it’s summertime now. After finding one of Xylos’ creatures just outside the house, I thought now would be a good time to go visit the Sanctuary of the Great Four, located in IcyChilly Plains. We get there, and devise a way to get over a pit. Too bad everyone else decided on tossing me! With the exception of Sean, Harold, and Cotton, everyone else fell in! We can only hope they landed somewhere in the Sanctuary, as we make our way through the field, infested with Xylos’ minions!

It was still icy in VG City. Now the chilling wind had subsided, and it was snowing lightly.

“I do hope… this is it.”

Someone walked up to the door of our house. Her dress was very fancy looking, but not really something you should wear in this weather.

“Oh, but what should I say…? How should I say it…?”

“Are you looking for T?”

“Hmm?”

A little girl walked up to her. The most notable thing about her was the witch’s hat she wore.

“Excuse me?”

“Are you looking for T? If you’re looking for them to help you, that’s good. Him, and my brother, and the rest of their friends would be more then happy to help! What’s your name?”

Lena: “…Lena.”

Vicky: “I’m Vicky! Rick’s my older brother; do you know him?”

Lena: “Sorry, no.”

Vicky: “Oh. I came because I wanted to see how big bro is. My mom doesn’t know I sneaked out.”

Lena: “That’s good. It must be nice to have a brother or sister to care about.”

Vicky: “I wonder, what’s this note?”

A note was fixed to the door.

Lena: “Oh…”

It read as follows:

To Kayin, Ellis, Sho, T-na, and Nadia:

If any of you guys listed above make it back from your jobs, know this. The rest of us have gone to IcyChilly Plains to see the Sanctuary of the Great Four. It just might be why it’s so freaking cold in the summertime right now! Anyhoo… we’re there, k’? If you feel like helping out… come, by all means! There’s a shortcut in Fridgy Valley, I hear. Later!

From T

Lena: “IcyChilly Plains… no, I knew he’d go there…”

Vicky: “Where? W-where’d my brother go? Will he be in danger?”

Lena: “I hope not. I must go there. I never should have told him to go…”

Vicky: “I want to come to! Please, take me with you!”

Lena: “But wouldn’t your mother worry?”

Vicky: “She’d worry about Rick too!”

Lena: “I see. I won’t stop you.”

Vicky: “Ha, ha! I’m just as good at magic as my brother, you’ll see!”

With that they left for Fridgy Valley.

Back in IcyChilly Plains…

Sean: “Tech Arrow, Bomb!”

BOOM!

Harold: “Tiger Fang!”

Cotton the Bunny: “(Double Kick!)”

CRASH!

T: “T Tornado!”

SMASH!

The four of us were busy mowing our way through the numerous guards that stood before us. Sean fired arrows while using the Mecha Long Legs, I relied on my Rapid Boots, and Harold rode on top of Cotton. Together, we smashed our fair share of watchtowers.

T: “There it is! The entrance!”

We all came to a stop in front of it.

Cotton: “(Did we get them all?)”

Harold: “Not quite…”

It seemed some of the monsters survived when the watchtowers fell over.

Sean: “I’ll handle this. Tech Arrow… Eclipse Bomb!”

When Sean launched the odd arrow, it landed in the middle of the horde, creating a large energy ball that colored everything within its range negative before giving off an explosion!

Harold: “…Whoa.”

T: “He’s worked on that since he was little.”

Sean: “Now, how about this place now?”

We entered what looked like a building made entirely of ice and stone.

Sean: “This is really something…”

It seemed like a mere hallway that stretched forward.

Sean: “What are those lights up ahead?”

T: “Oh, this hallway leads right to the heart of the Sanctuary.”

Sean: “Well, that was quick!”

Sean started to move forward, but…

Harold: “Wait!”

Sean: “Why?”

Harold: “Tiger Fang!”

Harold launched an attack. It ran forward until it seemed to cancel out on its own!

Harold: “…A barrier.”

Sean: “(What?)”

T: “A barrier blocked the way through. But I thought we turned it off!”

Harold: “It’s a different one. It’s fueled with evil energy.”

T: “(Sigh…) Now I know something’s wrong…”

Sean: “But if this one hallway leads to the inner part, how do we go through?”

Harold: “I already said that most of this place is underground.”

Sean: “Yeah?”

T: “We have to go down and make our way around to get on the other side.”

I pointed to a set of stairs on our side and another set on the other side of the barrier.

Cotton: “(If it’s that close by, it can’t be that hard…)”

Harold: “That’s what you think, little rabbit…”

We descended the stairs.

Sean: “It’s kinda colder down here…”

Cotton: “(Hey, I don’t see another staircase! Where could it be?)”

Cotton walked forward.

T: “Look out!”

I picked him up before an icicle fell!

Cotton: “(Whoa!)”

T: “You gotta be careful! Sometimes those icicles fall when you walk under them!”

Harold: “We’ve all learned that the hard way…”

Sean: “Ouch… but Cotton has a point; where is the staircase for the other side of the barrier?”

Harold: “Think of it as going around in a giant circle.”

T: “Let’s go. We gotta find the others and keep moving.”

The first room we entered in had very narrow paths. The rest of the floor was lined with an odd blue liquid.

Harold: “Don’t touch that stuff; it’ll freeze you good.”

After avoiding the icicles and the freezing blue water, we moved on.

Cotton: “(What’s with this room?)”

The next room had a series of doors.

Harold: “There are five doors here.”

T: “The first four…”

The doors each had a picture of a tiger, turtle and snake, dragon, and phoenix.

T: “…Going through each of them is like a nostalgia trip.”

Cotton: “(What’s that mean?)”

Harold: “You’ll see…”

Sean: “What about that door there?”

The fifth door had all four mystical creatures on it.

T: “It opened after we went through these four here.”

Cotton: “(What’s down this cavern here?)”

Harold: “That leads to the rest of the Sanctuary.”

Sean went to the White Tiger door. It was unlocked.

Sean: “It’s open!”

Harold: “They’re all open.”

T: “Yeah, we had to find the keys to open them last time we were here. They were hidden throughout the rest of this place.”

Sean: “Well, this is convenient. But if this is the case, how come the door over there isn’t open?”

Harold: “Somethings just aren’t that easy, I guess…”

T: “Ah well. Let’s start with the White Tiger door then!”

We opened it and went in.

Meanwhile…

Lena: “This is it; IcyChilly Plains… you aren’t cold are you?”

Vicky: “I-I’m fine…”

Meanwhile, Lena and Vicky had arrived at IcyChilly Plains. They stood before the pit that we encountered.

Lena: “The ground around this trench is very icy; be careful…”

Vicky: “I will… (Gasp!)”

Lena: “What’s wrong?”

Vicky: “I can feel my bro’s magic power!”

Lena: “Hm, where Rick is, T is sure to be there. Where do you sense it?”

Vicky: “I feel it coming from… down there…”

Lena: “They fell down here?”

Vicky: “Ohh, I just hope they’re okay…”

Lena: “If you can sense their energy, they should be. Here, I’ll take us down slowly.”

With Lena using wind to soften their descent, the pair went down the icy pit.

Back to us…

Sean: “Hey… what is this??”

When Sean looked around, he found his surrounding to be all too familiar…

Sean: “How’d we end up back at White Tiger Grove??”

T: “Looks like it, doesn’t it? But it’s not.”

Harold: “Beyond each of the four doors, we were faced with a room reminiscent of the four places explored in the past. This one, in this case, White Tiger Grove.”

Sean: “What’s with all this haze?”

Harold: “Ah this…”

Before us lay a huge cloud of heavy purple mist. For some reason, you could see little yellow sparkles in it.

Harold: “This haze once plagued White Tiger Grove.”

T: “It’s terribly hard to see through. That’s why we have…! Uh, Harold?”

Harold: “Right; this!”

He pulled out the Lantern and gave it to me.

T: “Look, a torch.”

After I lit it, other torches magically lit up. Their combined light brightened the dim room and dispersed the mist! Within the mist was a somewhat narrow path that hung over orange water.

Harold: “Oh… that water being there is a new thing...”

Cotton: “(Why is it orange?)”

T: “Trust me, you do not want to go for a swim in that stuff…”

We crossed the path carefully and made it to the other side.

T: “…What’s this?”

A black pedestal lay before us. Sitting on it was…

Cotton: “(…A coin? Is this a coin?)”

Sean: “Looks like ¼ of one…”

T: “I’m getting the same vibe I get from the four parts.”

Suddenly, as soon as I picked it up…

FLASH!

T: “…Huh?”

Sean: “We’re back in the Sanctuary!”

Cotton: “(Look at the door!)”

On the door with the four beasts, the tiger lit up.

T: “Let’s go in the Turtle room.”

Sean: “Ugh… what’s this, a graveyard?”

Harold: “Yep. This should be Diamond Shell Mausoleum.”

Sean: “What’re those long white things?”

Aside from a few tombstones for atmosphere, the place was littered with long white things sticking out of the ground.

Cotton: “(Are they trees?)”

T: “They’re not trees, they’re… uh-oh!”

Cotton went to try and look at one up close, but…

T: “Stop!”

I closed in and whacked it, making it retreat into the earth!

Cotton: “(What was that?!)”

T: “They’re…!”

Sean: “Ugh! Let go!”

Harold: “These things are…!”

Three of the fleshy things grabbed Sean by the arm and Harold by the arm and leg. Then the full bodies that the arms belonged to showed themselves!

T: “They’re Undead Anglers; three of them! No wonder there are so many arms!”

The three monsters slowly shuffled towards the two.

Cotton: “(Let them go!)”

Cotton bit one arm while I hit the other two. The Anglers started to pull back once they were free.

Harold: “Don’t let those demons get away!”

We managed to subdue the pale creatures before they tried to regroup underground.

Cotton: “(Those things looked scary… and they don’t taste good!)”

Another black pedestal rose out the ground.

T: “It’s another piece of this coin-thingy!”

When I grabbed it, we were warped back into the Sanctuary again. The turtle picture glowed on the fifth door.

Cotton: “(Can we try the room with the funny looking lizard here?)”

T: “That’s a dragon, bunny buddy.”

And in we went…

Meanwhile...

Eiji: “Ugh… it’s been two hours… and they still won’t shut up!!”

Usagi: “Just admit it!”

Sofia: “No!”

Tracy: “No!”

Rick: “Look, even that creature guarding us is getting annoyed!”

The black creature that was watching the cage that Eiji and the others were in; it seemed to be getting annoyed. It actually started banging on the ice wall as if to say ‘keep it down in there!’ The girls merely looked his way, then resumed their heated conversation!

Rick: “Hey believe me, Mr. Black Monster Guy, if we could silence them, we would!”

Usagi: “Listen, you might as well just say it now and come to terms with it; you like T, don’t you?”

Sofia: “Not in the way you think we do! Get it through your head!”

Lena: “…Do you hear that?”

As for Lena and Vicky, they cautiously made their way through the icy halls.

Vicky: “Hear what?”

Lena: “It sounds like… the ninja girl…”

Vicky: “I dunno who that is, but I hear others that I recognize!”

Eiji: “(In distance) If you’re that obsessed with him, why don’t you marry him?”

Tracy: “Don’t encourage her, broom-head!”

Usagi: “Someday I will!”

Sofia: “S-stop saying that!”

Rick: “All of you, stop talking before I make your mouths disappear!!”

Vicky: “That’s Rick! He’s okay!”

They ran forward and looked on.

Lena: “One of those black creatures is keeping guard.”

It seemed to have covered its ears due to the racket.

Vicky: “It doesn’t like their yelling.”

Lena: “Then I’ll put it out of its misery!”

Lena tossed one of her iron fans, striking it down where it stood.

Eiji: “Huh?”

Usagi: “What was that?”

They all forgot about the obviously pointless argument, and wondered what it was that struck down the monster. While still unseen, Vicky said,

Vicky: “Look! What’s that eye thing?”

Lena: “It seems to be connected to the energy bars. It must be powering it!”

Vicky: “I got it!”

Vicky fired an odd bolt from the tip of her wand at it. The eye closed, then disappeared in a puff of smoke. The bars disappeared shortly afterward. As they all stepped out, Rick wondered,

Rick: “Hey, who freed us?”

Vicky: “Big bro!”

Vicky ran up to her brother for a big hug.

Rick: “Vicky?! W-what’re you doing here!? What did mom say?”

Tracy: “Hey, how did your sister come all the way out here?”

Lena: “She came with me.”

Usagi: “…Lena? You’re here too?”

Tracy: “What’re you doing out of the hospital so soon? You don’t look like you’re fully healed yet.”

Lena: “I’m fine. I needed to leave so I could find T.”

She looked back and forth between them then said,

Lena: “Um, where is he?”

Vicky: “If you all fell down here, where is he?”

Sofia: “Uh, we kinda… tossed him over the pit against his will…”

Usagi: “Of course, I said that was a stupid idea!”

Lena: “Then he must be elsewhere in the Sanctuary! I must find him!”

Sofia: “Why? What’s wrong?”

Lena: “There isn’t much time. We must hurry before he gets to the heart of this place. I’m sure you’ve been keeping close attention to those parts of Xylos that you have found, right?”

Tracy: “Yes. Yes, we have.”

Eiji: “Why do you ask?”

Lena: “There is one last part you must be made aware of.”

Sofia: “Another one?? Which one is it this time?”

Lena: “…His heart.”

Meanwhile, Sean, Harold, Cotton, and I have just returned from the Dragon room, holding another piece of the coin. We wasted no time and went into the Phoenix room.

Cotton: “(What’s all this stuff?)”

Spanning over a blue, blue sky, was a series of turning gears and rotating platforms, all either made of stone, metal, or both.

Sean: “Who designed all this ancient technology? I have to study this!”

T: “You’ll have to go to the source, which is Phoenix Towers. It’s hard to tell if all this here is real or not.”

Sean: “I see.”

T: “But I can at least do this!”

I pulled out the Chilly Scepter and pushed the crystal top into a hole in the wall. Soon, all the machinery froze to a halt!

T: “Let’s go!”

We crossed the frozen objects to find another black pedestal.

T: “This is the fourth one!”

I grabbed it and we were placed back in the previous room. All four beasts on the fifth door were lit up.

Cotton: “(It’s opening!)”

Behind the door was…

Sean: “It’s the other staircase!”

We walked back up to the top level.

Sean: “All right, we’re on the other side!”

Cotton: “(But how do we turn off the barrier, in case the others come?)”

Harold: “Here it is…”

Harold pointed to a strange object with a round indent on it.

Harold: “This powers the barrier. But what goes in this indent?”

Sean: “How about the coin?”

T: “This? Okay?”

I put all four parts in it.

Harold: “The design looks like a heart… why?”

When the barrier fell, the object that powered it turned into a ball of black energy and fled!

Cotton: “(That thing’s going to the center of this place, isn’t it?)”

T: “We gotta go after it!”

At around the time when we were in the Phoenix Room…

Lena: “Where is he? We have to find him!”

Tracy: “We’ve passed by a lot of stuff, including some opened treasure chests… but those must’ve been opened during his very first visit…”

Eiji: “So Lena, what about this heart?”

Lena: “It’s called the Black Shadow Heart. It’s the most powerful part of Xylos… It was also his weak point.”

Sofia: “What sets it apart from the other four?”

Lena: “It…”

“The heart… no…”

Usagi: “Who was that?”

A faint voice was heard by all.

“No… don’t… the heart…”

Rick: “It’s coming from up ahead!”

“Don’t let… the heart…”

They followed the voice until…

Tracy: “What is that thing up there?”

Something was lying on the floor up ahead. It gave off a flickering glow.

Rick: “I don’t know… but it doesn’t feel evil, like those creatures…”

Vicky: “That looks like a person!”

Upon closer inspection…

Sofia: “It is a person!”

Usagi: “This woman… she looks familiar…”

Lena: “This isn’t just any person!”

Tracy: “Huh, I guess she can’t be, what with her glowing and everything…”

Lena: “This is the Guardian of this Sanctuary! But look at the state she’s in…”

Though alive, she seemed to be injured.

Eiji: “Those black freaks did this to her, I bet!”

“Uhh… Please… where is… the Chosen One?”

Tracy: “Try not to talk, lady; you’re not looking too good…”

Rick: “What does she mean; Chosen One?”

Lena: “She means the one chosen to find the Medallions. In other words…”

Sofia: “T… he’s here, but he’s not here…”

“Please… find him… do not let him near the heart… of the red X…(Gasp!)”

Vicky: “What is it?”

“He’s approaching the center of the Sanctuary! Quickly! Go to him! Don’t let him near the heart!”

Eiji: “That heart thing’s here?!”

“I will lead the way! Quickly!”

The woman turned into a ball of light and floated on ahead, wanting the others to follow her.

Tracy: “First you, now her; what’s the deal about the heart?”

Lena: “If anyone, even T, were to draw near it… it would try to control the person…”

Eiji: “That’s bad…”

Guardian: “Yes… unless… the person has not had contact with the other four parts…”

Lena: “She’s right. Has he?”

The others paused behind them and exchanged worried glances.

Eiji: “Well, uh, that’s one thing…”

Tracy: “If you mean that he’s held onto them physically…”

Sofia: “It’s happened…”

Lena: “No…”

Usagi: “And every time it happened, the respective part of him looked different… for a brief moment…”

Lena: “There isn’t much time!”

They followed the Guardian through the icy halls and soon made it to the ground level.

Guardian: “Through this hallway! Hurry!”

…

T: “I can’t believe I’m back here again…”

The four of us looked up and around at the wide, open-air chamber. Four statues, each one of the Four Beasts, stood at the four corners of the room.

Harold: “Ugh! Man…”

Sean: “What’s wrong?”

Harold: “I’m getting a real bad vibe in here… I feel the presence of something truly evil…”

T: “Check it out!”

We saw a big, round, and wide pedestal.

T: “Right there is where I placed the Medallions! But… what’s this?”

I myself moved closer to see the black object hovering over it.

T: “This thing… it’s… man…”

I just stood there firmly for a moment.

T: “Harold…”

Harold: “Yeah?”

T: “Do you have the other four parts?”

Harold: “They’re right here. I never let them out of my sight.”

He held all four in his hands. They were still secured inside the Capture Capsules.

T: “I’m picking up the same feeling from this. It’s his heart, isn’t it?”

Sean: “You mean Xylos’ heart?”

T: “Yeah. Toss me a empty capsule, please.”

Harold: “Sure, but are you sure it can…?”

T: “Never hurts to try…”

With the Capture Capsule in one hand, I reached for the heart with the other. My hand inched closer… closer… and even closer…

Eiji: “There he is! T!”

Sofia: “Wait!”

But before I could respond to them, my hand already grabbed onto it!

Lena: “No!!”

Suddenly…

CRASH!

Harold: “What?! The Capsules!!”

The four Capture Capsules holding the Eyes of Decay and Discord, and the Left and Right Hands of Destruction and Pestilence, all shattered to bits! I dropped the empty one I was holding, as I felt my hands automatically go to my sides!

Sofia: “What’s happening to him?!”

Lena: “We’re too late…”

Everyone was unable to approach as the five parts circled around me. Then…

T: “AAH!”

The Eyes flew straight to my head, the hands latched onto my arms, and the heart dove right for my chest! After a flash of black light, I stood with my back facing everyone.

Sofia: “…T?”

I merely said nothing.

Usagi: “What happened to him? Sir T?”

Tracy: “H-hey, green boy, say something… anything!”

T?: “The one you address as T… is no more!”

Lena: “No! Is he…?”

Although it sounded like my voice was speaking, a deeper, more ominous voice was speaking along with mine.

T?: “Perhaps I should rephrase that… that is to say… he won’t be responding for a very, very long time!”

Turning to face everyone, I took the glasses off my face and threw it to the floor! It slid until it stopped right in front of Sofia.

Xylos: “I… am Xylos!”

Vicky: “Aah! W-what happened to his eyes?!”

Instead of my normal brown eyes, they were gold-rimmed with an evil shade of orange-red. My TNT Gloves were jet black and bore a red X instead of the bomb pattern. My clothing was a darker shade of their original coloring, and on my chest was an image the black heart, visible on my shirt.

Xylos: “I have been waiting oh, so long for this day to come! The only thing that makes it even sweeter is that I have the Chosen One in my grasp!”

Harold: “I knew those parts were nothing but trouble!”

Xylos: “Ah, yes, the demon hunter… I really must thank you for keeping my precious parts safe and sound!”

Harold: “You’re not welcome!”

Sofia: “T… what happened to you…?”

Sofia silently picked up my glasses from off the icy floor.

Xylos: “Oh, don’t look so sad! You friend’s never looked better!”

Tracy: “Shut up! You’re not taking our friend without a fight!”

Xylos: “Oh, but of course… Before I can get my plans underway, I do have to take out those who oppose me… You want your friend back, but I can’t allow it, so I’ll just be ending your games here…”

My hand was raised, ready to fire a burst of energy.

Rick: “That thing’s strong enough to wipe us all out!”

Xylos: “Goodbye!”

But before the shot could be fired…

BOOM!

Something struck me from above!

“Ha! Direct hit!”

I was unfazed of course…

Xylos: “Who dares?”

Five people dropped in from above.

Eiji: “What? The Deep Six Gang!”

Xylos: “Who are these cretins?”

K: “Now the fun really begins! Alright losers, hand them over!”

Cotton: “(What? Hand what over??)”

Sally: “Don’t play dumb! We want those Xylos parts!”

Marshall: “We know you have them!”

Rick: “What’re you…? This is a serious matter! Get lost!”

Sheldon: “We need them, please give them to us.”

Pete: “Yeah! We want em’ so we can power up! When we do, we’ll get to experience their power!”

Xylos: “Heh, heh, heh… you wish to experience the power of Xylos?”

When Pete turned around, I was standing right behind him!

Pete: “Yeah, I do! What’re you gonna do about it, green bean?”

Xylos: “If you wish to feel my power… then I’ll gladly oblige!”

Out of nowhere, I grabbed his Power Gloved hands!

Pete: “What?”

He then tried to fight back, but with a swift kick to the gut, I knocked him away, his hands slipping right out of the gloves! He made a crater in the wall when he hit it!

K: “Pete!”

Marshall: “That’s it; get him!”

The other four clowns rushed me! Marshall tried swinging his staff at me, but I grabbed it, grabbed him, and knocked him skyward like a baseball! When he came down, I smacked him again, sending him flying towards Sheldon, who had his shield up. He bounced off and landed on the floor.

Sally came at me at high speed, but after sidestepping slightly to avoid her, I grabbed her by her speed accelerator pack and threw her to the floor, pulling the pack off and crushing it with my bare hands.

I then tossed the mangled device at Sheldon with such force; it knocked his shield back, dropping his guard. That’s when I rushed toward him, grabbed the shield, and slammed him against the wall with it! All that was left was King K.

Shaking slightly, he charged at me with all speed. Moving faster than him, I grabbed him by the collar, gave him a headbutt, and tossed him upward. I covered my eyes for a moment, then…

Xylos: “…I see you! Secret Eye Beam!”

I released a wide beam that fully surrounded K! When the blast ended, he landed on the floor hard.

Xylos: “Hm; worthless… That’s what happens to those who oppose me.”

Usagi: “I… don’t believe it… he just…”

Rick: “He beat down on them like they were nothing!”

Eiji: “Yet they’re still alive!”

Sean: “But now that he’s done with them, we might not be!”

Xylos: “Now where was I? Oh, yes!”

I aimed my energy blast at them again, but then…

Xylos: “Hmm… on second thought, no. With the plans I have, I need not waste my energy. I’ll just take the time to get used to this body! So for now…”

With a wave of my hand, X-shaped portal appeared over everyone’s heads, even the Deep Six Gang!

Xylos: “…You all go back to where you came!”

Sofia: “Wait! T!”

Xylos: “I told you, I control the boy now! Away with you!”

Sofia: “T!!”

In a flash, they all disappeared!

Xylos: “Now to finish what I started… all this time, my plan for this world is still in my head…”

Speaking of in my head…

T: “Uhh… w-where am I?”

“T…”

T: “Huh?”

I got up and looked at who was next to me.

T: “You’re the spirit of the Emerald Sword! What happened? My sword didn’t break, did it?”

“No… An evil force has taken root in your body.”

T: “What?! What happened to me?!”

“You true self has been locked away. In other words, you’re right here.”

T: “Then how’s my body moving??”

“Two words… red X.”

T: “Xylos?!”

I thought back.

T: “It must’ve been when I touched that heart!”

“Not to mention all the other parts… each one of them put a little part of Xylos in you, and when you came in contact with the heart…”

T: “It completed the control…”

“Yes.”

T: “Grr… I want my body back! Xylos!!”

…

Xylos: “…Huh? Aargh!”

T: “Xylos!! I want my body back!!”

Xylos: “How is it you’re speaking, boy?! I thought I put you down!”

Kayin: “Hey, what’s the deal with this note?”

Kayin and the others were back at VG City.

T-na: “Phew! I’m just glad it stopped snowing and everything!”

Sari: “That was very bizarre, seeing as it is summer right now…”

Ellis: “What’s that paper, Kayin?”

Kayin: “It’s from T! Says something about going to IcyChilly plains, wherever that is…”

Nadia: “IcyChilly Plains? Wasn’t that where we went to place the Medallions, Sari?”

Sari: “Yes. That and Lena recommended we go there.”

Sho: “Perhaps we should catch up with them?”

T-na: “Good idea, Sho.”

But as they headed outside, an odd wind started to blow…

Suddenly an X-shaped portal opened up dropping everyone right on the ground!

Ellis: “What in the…?!”

When they got up, each of them bore the same dismayed expression.

Kayin: “How in the world did you guys get here?! And what’s the Deep Six Gang doing with you guys?!”

The Deep Six Gang was still unconscious.

Sari: “Did you notice the shape of that portal, Nadia?”

Nadia: “Yes.”

Ellis: “Hey, where’s T? Wasn’t he with you all?”

Sofia: “T… He’s… he’s…”

Sho: “He’s… what, Sofia?”

All she could do was burst into tears!

T-na: “…Something bad happened, didn’t it?”
