Chapter2

“Oh yeah I forgot,” Faila replied laughing as the scythe disappeared. She concentrated and de-transformed back into her school uniform.

“WAW that is sooo cool!” Cherry cried grinning like a Cheshire cat.

“Erm…thanks?” Faila replied a bit confused, but she suddenly felt something in her hand, she looked down and unclenched her fist. “A strawberry pendant?” She had a questioning look on her face and that set Cherry off again.

“Ooooooh a strawberry? You said something about strawberries earlier. What does it meeeeeeeaaaaaaaan?” She emphasised the last word by dragging it out.

“Err… Cherry… How the hell should I know! I know just as much as you right now and would love to give you the answers but I don’t have any!!”

Cherry looked at Faila with a terrified expression on her face before backing up a step. “Sorry Faila…But It’s absolutely amazing!!” She squealed. “I mean you can transform into this half human half cat thing and we just got attacked by something that in my opinion definitely resembled Adam and… Oh my gosh what is that!!” She screamed pointing towards a black and pink fluff ball that was appearing out of nowhere. “It’s… It’s… It’s floating!”

“YAAAAAAAAAA!” The fluff ball shouted as it whizzed round the two girls.

Faila’s eyes widened as the fluff ball stopped in front of her and started making weird noises. “Erm…..ok now I’m seriously confused. What is this thing?” she put her hand out to touch it but it flew towards her and hit her in the shoulder sending her flying backwards from he impact and the surprise. “What was that?”

“Faila are you ok?” Cherry ran over to help her up.

“Yeah but what is this fluff ball?”

“I have no idea but… its soooo cute!!”

“Why did I even ask?” She walked over to the fluff ball, “Erm...well it seems to be able to talk so… what’s your name?”

“Heeeeeeeeeeee.”

“Erm?” Faila raised her eyebrow.

“Name?”

“Well we can’t just call you fluff ball can we.”

“I don’t think he has a name.” Cherry said skipping over.

“You’re probably right. Hmm… what do you think we should call him?”

“I don’t know but it should be something cute!”

“Alright then how about… erm… Masha?”

“Ooooh that’s sooo perfect!” She clapped her hands together. “So his name is now Masha.”

“Yeah, and Cherry please calm down.”

“Calm down, calm down.” Masha said flitting about.

“Ok I’ll try. But this is awesome!”

“I’ll take that as a no she can’t,” Faila said to herself while watching Masha. “Cherry please you’re giving me a headache.” She looked at her watch while Masha flew over and rested on her shoulder. “Maybe we should go; you should have been home ages ago.”

“Why what time is it?”

“4:30”

“Damn…let’s go.” Cherry grabbed onto Faila’s wrist and pulled her along a path while Faila just let her drag her and sighed. Only just managing to pocket the pendant as Masha was still perched on her shoulder like a parrot.

Elsewhere

“Everything is going according to plan Ryou.”

“Good Keiichiro. Who was chosen?”

“Her name is Felina-Laila Lightheart. Age 15 and is now infused with the DNA of the Siberian Tiger.”

“So it’s finally begun”

The Next Day

“Masha just stay here, I can’t take you to school with me.” Faila said packing her bag.

“Masha.” Masha floated to the ground sounding upset.

“No Masha that wont work.” Masha’s eyes grew larger and sad.

“Masha someone might see you.” Masha suddenly shrunk. “You are so persistent, fine but don’t be seen.”

Masha flew into one of the pockets on her uniform while Faila put her bag over her shoulder, put the pendant in her pocket with Masha, her phone in the other and ran down the stairs. She put her shoes on and shouted goodbye to her mother before running out the door and towards Cherry’s house.

She stopped to walk for a bit when she was about half way and Masha suddenly flew out her pocket.

“Alien Alert! Alien Alert!”

“What where?” She looked around but couldn’t see anyone.

“Well what do we have here? A little Kitten.” A voice from above her said.

Her eyes darted towards the voice and saw a black blob against the sun. She covered her eyes to get a better view but couldn’t. Whoever it was flew down and landed just in front of her and she backed up into a tree that was next to her.

“Hmmm… so you’re our enemy. I’ve heard about you. What’s your name?”

“Why the hell should I tell you.”

“Well it’s only natural to tell someone you have never met before your name is it not?”

“Not really it all depends, and I don’t know you name either.”

“Hmm… well I guess I could tell you. My name is Kisshu, now tell me yours.”

“Full name, first name or nick name?” She replied smirking slightly.

“Cocky aren’t we and any.”

“Alright then my first name is Felina-Laila.”

“Oooh just right for a kitten.”

Faila just hissed at him while he laughed. “So what are you?” She crossed her arms.

“I’m an alien if you must know and you’re cute when you hiss.”

She immediately stopped hissing and just glared at him. And when he put his hand on her cheek she slapped it away and went to kick him in the gut but he’d teleported into the air already.

“Until next time my cute little kitten.” He grinned and teleported away.

Faila just stood there dumbstruck for a few seconds before she realised what he had said. “What the hell do you mean ‘my’!?”

“Faila’s going to be late.” Masha flew over.

“What?” she looked at her watch and her eyes widened as she took of towards Cherry’s house and as usual when she got there Cherry still wasn’t ready.

“Hurry up.”

“Hey you’re the one that’s early.”

“I’m late you idiot”

“Don’t call me an idiot.” Cherry mumbled while rushing to get her bag.

5 minutes later

They were already half way to school because they had ran quite quickly but had slowed down as Faila looked at her watch and said they had enough time to walk the rest of the way.

“Are you walking tonight?”

“I can’t I have a dentist appointment, sorry.”

“Don’t worry about it, Masha will keep me company.”

“Oh where is he?”

“In my pocket…”

“How did he fit in there?”

“He shrunk.”

“Huh? I don’t get you.”

“Don’t worry about it.” She just started staring off to space ignoring everything around her.

Cherry gave her a quizzical look. “Did something happen when I wasn’t there?”

“What? Oh no. Why do you ask?”

“No reason but are you sure it’s nothing?”

“Yeah nothing’s happened.”

Cherry just kept questioning her not entirely believing what Faila was saying and by the time they got to school Faila was fed up.

“Demmy save me please!” Faila pleaded as they met her at the usual place.

“Ha-ha what’s Cherry doing now?”

“She won’t stop questioning me about something that never even happened.”

“How does that work?”

“It doesn’t.”

The two of them walked off to the form room while Cherry stood there talking to a group of friends.

All throughout the day Cherry was trying to talk to Faila about what supposedly happened but Faila so far had managed to avoid it as much as possible. Once the final bell went she went straight over to the teacher to hand in a piece of homework.

“Call me later Faila!” Cherry shouted walking to the door two minutes later.

“I’ll try.” Cherry waved and left the room while Faila turned back to the teacher. She thanked the teacher, walked out the room and left the school to walk home as Masha flew out her pocket.

5 minutes down the road she was in the middle of a conversation with Masha when all of a sudden a huge moth appeared and a strangely familiar laugh was heard but she couldn’t work out where she had heard it before.

Masha started going wild shouting and flitting about, “Chimera anima! Chimera anima…”

“Chimera anima?” Faila had a confused look on her face.

“Hey Kitten I hope you like my present for you!”

“It’s you! What the hell did you mean earlier by my!? And If that’s the present then no thank you.” She pointed towards the huge moth that was on the ground in front of her.

“Ha-ha. This is my chimera anima just for you. And I’ll let him take care of you so bye.” Before Faila could reply he teleported away.

“He’s a complete arse.”

“Chimera anima!”

“Huh” she looked at Masha, “Ok Masha, I get it, you can stop now.” She looked towards the moth again who had spread its wings and was about to take flight again. “I guess I’ve got to get rid of you.” She reached into her pocket and pulled out the strawberry pendant, “Strawberry transform!”

The lights swirled around her and disappeared to show Faila fully transformed. “Strawberry Scythe!” Her hand shot out to her right before grabbing the syth that had appeared in front of her.

She ran towards the moth that was now in the air. It spread its wings wider and; where she thought she would get sent flying again; she was showered in something that looked just like glitter.

Faila gripped the scythe tighter before jumping into the air and towards the moth – she spun the scythe above her head before slashing it straight through its body. “Strawberry Night Darkness!”

The moth gave a deafening screech and turned into a normal moth before flying off. Masha flew over and ate the jellyfish like thing that was trying to float away.

Faila landed softly on a wall as the syth disappeared. She hopped off the wall and detransformed. She turned towards Mash and sighed while running her fingers through her hair. She began walking towards Masha but stopped when she heard clapping.
