Note: This is how I hope Degrassi ends or if they decided to write Paige out I hope this is the way. I hated Love Is A Battlefield's ending so much. It was basically let's get rid of Alex and leave Paige heartbroken. I know Deanna Casaluce is moving on, but they could have done better than “we're too different, I'll be leaving your life now” I'm just glad they didn't go the J.T. way, so hopefully she'll make one last appearance before the series ends.

Paige groaned as she came back from her last delivery. Having to chase down a guy for 20 minutes to deliver a bouquet of roses only to find out that he ordered lilacs. Then she had to wait at another guy's apartment for a half hour and when he finally came home, he told her that she had the wrong address.

“I can't wait to go home and soak in the tub, forever.” she groaned. She was about to tell her supervisor, but he was on the phone.

“Yes, yes, it's right here, of course, right away, she'll be right there.” he said hanging up.

“I don't like the sound of that.” Paige sighed.

“Ms. Mitchelcheck.” he said in his high irritating voice. Paige didn't bother to correct him. “A customer has requested that the package they ordered be delivered today.”

“Well I'm off so you'll have to get someone else.” she said firmly.

“No, no, no, the person has insisted that you do it, and is paying a thousand extra to have it delivered today.” he said putting his foot down.

“Why would someone pay an extra thousand dollars to have something delivered early, and how do they know who I am?” she questioned.

“You do not question money.” he said.

“Just like your haircut.” she muttered.

“Now hurry and get this package to the buyer.” he said handing her the address and a package the size of a DVD case, only thicker and wrapped in shiny red paper with a yellow bow.

Paige looked at the address. “This is on the other side of the city!”

“I didn't want to have to do this Ms. Mikerchief, but you came in late twice last week and you missed a delivery yesterday, so if you don't make this one I'll have to let you go.”

Seeing that she was beat, she got back into her car while muttering curse words under her breath. She didn't know why she went to work for a gay guy after Andrea fired her.

After stopping for extra strong coffee and driving for well over an hour she finally got to her destination, a large hill with a small forest.

“Hello.” she called out. “How do you like that, the person calls for me personally and isn't even here.”

Sighing she started walking around. “Hello, hello, anyone there.” She groaned. “This must be a prank, when I find the jerk that did this I'm going to give him a piece of my mind.”

“Better not make it a big piece, its not like you had much to being with.” a voice said.

Paige would recognize that voice in a crowded airport. “Alex!”

“You don't have to shout.” she said. Paige turned around to see Alex standing behind her.

“Alex.” she rejoiced embracing her without thinking.

“I missed you too.” Alex said running her fingers through Paige's hair.

Paige finally broke away. “What are you doing back here?”

“We can't talk here, follow me.” Alex instructed. Paige followed incredibly confused.

She led Paige to a clearing where a brand new Chevy Corvette lay.

“Whoa is this yours? Where'd you get the money? You aren't stripping again are you?” Paige asked without stopping.

“In this order. Yes. My deceased grandmother left it to me. And no chance in Hell.” Alex replied.

“Your grandmother left it to you, I'm so sorry for your loss.” Paige said taking her hand.

“It was 12 years ago, but thanks.” Alex said not letting go.

“Wait if you've had this money for so long, why didn't you use it when you were in huge debt?” Paige questioned.

Alex sighed and let go, “Well for one I couldn't touch the money until I was 18 and two Emily didn't want me to know I had the money, figured I might try to use it to make myself happy.”

“Wow.” Paige gasped. “So how did you find out?”

“Apparently Chad is back in jail, selling drugs I think, and she was trying to withdraw the money to bail him out, forged my name and everything.”

“That's intense.” Paige said.

“I know, good thing for me it has to be a face-to-face withdrawal, they sent me a letter explaining it.” Alex said looking down. “As soon as I found out I withdrew all the money and placed it in a different bank.”

“Good thinking.” Paige praised.

“Then the woman gets the nerve to send a bill for raising me, a 49,000 bill, she even put giving birth as an expense.” Alex growled.

“So what did you do?” Paige asked curious.

“I sent her a dollar along with a note saying “keep the change”

Paige smiled at that. “So how much money are we talking?”

“250,000.” Alex said proudly. “Plus 12 years of interest.”

Paige gasped. “So how much did the car set you back.”

“26,000, it cost more, but I got it from Emily.” Alex declared.

“How did your mom, get a car like this?” Paige asked.

“I'm not sure, but I think that Chad was doing so well in drugs that he decided to treat his self, instead of paying the overdue bills. Then I guess he started selling even more drugs to get by and sold to an undercover cop or something. Anyway I told Emily that I'd buy it off of her, but she could never part with something of Chad's. So I said I'd give her a loan and take the car as collateral. I know she'll never pay me back, Chad's probably blew it all at the racetrack by now.” Alex finally finished sighing.

“That's unbelievable, so what are you going to do with the money, go to college, buy a house?” Paige asked.

Alex shifted uncomfortably. “Not exactly.”

“What do you mean not exactly?” Paige questioned.

“I've decided to rediscover myself.” Alex declared. “I'm going to the United States and see the sights.”

“Why would you want to go there, where people drink those horrible tasting energy drinks from a can, sell clothes in a grocery store (Wal-Mart), and have those alcoholic pop-stars running around?” Paige asked.

“They've got some good stuff there too.” Alex explained. “And I've heard that there are plenty of opportunities for a young, good looking, lesbian.”

"So you are going to blow all your money on a trip to the U.S.?” Paige demanded.

“I deposited some money in a safe account that I can't touch and got a debit card for the rest so whenever I needed money on the road.” Alex explained. “And I can always work an odd job or two if necessary.”

“So you came to say goodbye before you go.” Paige said saddened.

“No, I want you to come with me.” Alex declared.

“What?” Paige gasped.

“You heard me, how do you expect me to enjoy myself, when I know that some jerk has his hands on my girl.” Alex defended.

“Alex, you broke up with me.” Paige shot at her. “Twice.”

“Well you broke up with me twice if you count at the Dot, and neither one of us knew where we were going in life. I didn't give a damn and you tried to plan your whole future out in advance. And we were hurting each other because of it.” Alex stated.

“That may be true, but what makes you think it'll be different now?” Paige asked.

“I saw the look on your face when I left.” Alex stated. “And I felt just as bad, you were the only girl I ever loved, Carla meant nothing. If we were really through then I wouldn't have had all those sleepless nights or want to cry every time I saw a blonde walk by me.”

Paige sighed. It hadn't been any easier for her. She couldn't even sleep on her own bed because it contained the scent of Alex's herbal shampoo.”

“Just think about it, us seeing the sights, taking turns bitching about people we don't like, stopping at hotels and going to bed early then sleeping late. And if we can't make it to a hotel, we can just go right in the backseat.”

“That does sound appealing, but just up and leaving everyone I know and care about.” Paige sighed.

“You won't be leaving them, you'll be giving yourself a chance to rediscover yourself, and don't take this the wrong way, but I think they might be glad for a break from you.” Alex said smiling.

“Thanks for the compliment.” Paige replied sarcastically.

“I'm kidding, but seriously, Paige you always want to make everyone else happy, why not make yourself happy for once?” Alex asked. "And me."

Paige thought. “I just don't know, can you give me some time? Maybe a week or two.”

“No.” Alex said firmly. “I'm not putting this off and I want to know where I stand in your life. I want to call you mine, but only if you're willing to call me yours.”

“Can you at least give me a day?” Paige pleaded.

Alex thought for a minute. “I'll give you until tonight, but I leave at midnight sharp, and not a minute later.”

“Alright it's a deal.” Paige agreed.

“But don't tell anyone else.” Alex said firmly. “This is your decision and don't let anyone influence you. Of course that doesn't mean I can't.” She pulled Paige up to her and pressed her lips against hers. After what seemed like an eternity she finally pulled away. “Remember Midnight.”

Paige just stood there dazed. She couldn't remember what happened after that, but the next thing she knew she was back at her apartment in her room with the door looked.

“Hey Paige what are you doing and why is the door locked?” Marco called out. “ Are you touching yourself and if you are can I watch?”

“One I'm not touching myself and two why would you want to watch, you're gay?” Paige yelled back.

“I know, I just wanted to see how it works.” he replied.

“Grow up.” she groaned.

“I'm microwaving a potato, you want one?” he asked.

“No and don't bother me, I have to do some heavy thinking.” she yelled back.

“For you choosing between French and Italian dressing is heavy .” he joked.

“Don't make me come out there.” she threatened.

Seeing that she meant it, he left.

Paige went back to her thoughts. 'Okay I can go with Alex and leave everything else behind, or stay here and be with my friends and loved ones. It seems so one sided when its put this way. Then again Alex means more to me than any of them, and I couldn't stand losing her again. Plus its not for good, just a year. And it would let me get to know Alex, maybe would finally be able to reach a compromise in our lives.”

All of a sudden an explosion was heard outside the door.

“You dumbass, you do not put tinfoil on a potato then stick it in the microwave.” Ellie was yelling at Marco.

“I didn't know, I thought it was the same as an oven.” Marco pleaded.

“These guys are making it easier and easier for me.” Paige said. She looked down and saw the package that she was supposed to deliver. Curiosity got the better of her so she opened it. Inside was a note and a jewelry box.

Paige read the note:

Dear Paige,

I knew you'd open this. This is to show you I'm serious in what I mean. I can't stand thinking about another guy with you and you can't stand seeing another girl with me. So I want to make this official. If you accept this gift then we'll officially be together no going back. Consider it an engagement necklace of some kind.

Love Alexandra Nunez half of Palex

P.S. If you think this is an influence on your decision then you're right.

Paige had to hold back a tear. Sometimes Alex knew her better than she knew herself. She opened the box to find a silver necklace with a small Gemini twins attached.

Paige needed no explanation. Gemini were two parts of a whole just like Palex. Now she knew her decision.

“Why do you think they say highly flammable if they don't mean it?” Ellie yelled.

“Anyone in my situation would throw a paint can at a small fire.” Marco defended. “Paint is like water.”

Paige sighed. “I'm going to miss these “interesting” times.” She wrote a note explaining everything and left it on the bed in plain sight.

Packing was the hard part. Once she brought a whole set of luggage to a picnic in the park. This time she could only take two suitcases. Finally she decided on her basic clothes, some make up, feminine products, a teddy bear, all the money she had saved, her laptop computer, and two pairs of shoes.

“I wonder if I should pack underwear, I guess I better, Alex will need practice in taking them off.”

With two suitcases full and nothing more, she took one last look at the room. “Be strong.” Then she noticed the hat that Alex had worn the night of the premiere. Paige put in on before looking in the mirror. “I can do this.”

She quietly snuck out the window while Ellie and Marco continued to argue over something that Marco had tried to blend.

Later that Night

Alex was sitting patiently waiting for Paige. She looked at her watch, 12:23.

“Damn Paige, where are you?” Alex yelled out.

“What happened to Midnight and not a minute later?” Paige asked from behind.

“Paige.” Alex cried rejoiced. She quickly turned around. “Where the Hell have you been? Don't tell me it took you this long to make up your mind.”

“Of course not I made up my mind hours ago, hon.” she added the last word for effect. “I was just taking a look at the sights, the Movie Theater in the Mall, the Mall itself, the Dot, Degrassi.”

“And what's your decision?” Alex demanded.

Instead of replying, Paige pulled out a necklace, just like the one that Alex had given her only with a gold chain and put it around Alex's neck. “Consider it an engagement necklace of some kind.”

Alex quickly embraced Paige. “Thank you, you don't know what this means.”

“I think it means lets go.” Paige said.

“Right.” Alex agreed. “Wow only two bags. I figured you would take your entire closet.”

“Hey if worse comes to worse, I can always go natural.” Paige joked.

“Oh no you don't. No one is gawking at your hot naked body except me. Which reminds me I have reservations for tonight.” Alex said putting Paige's luggage in the trunk.

Without another word said, they got into the vehicle. Taking each other's hand Alex drove up giving a clear last view of the city that they had come to love. They both said silent goodbyes before driving off not looking back once.

“So how good are you at taking off underwear?” Paige asked.

“You'll have to wait until later to find out.” Alex teased.

“So what were you going to do if I hadn't came with you?” Paige asked.

“Do what I normally do, close my eyes and fuck myself, pretending that its you.” Alex said.

Not to far away sat two ex-friends who had witnessed the whole thing thanks to binoculars.

“How do you like that your ex and my ex are running off together.” Jay said.

“Its better this way, Paige is way better off with Alex than a jerk like me.” Spinner said back.

“And Alex is way better off with a dumb blonde than an asshole like me.” Jay added.

“Wow you finally realize it.” Spinner laughed.

“Hey I knew all along, I just like playing along. It adds to my whole badass image” Jay admitted. 'Paige you better take good care of Lexi.'

“So want to grab a six pack and play some poker?” Jay suggested.

“How about we grab a cappuccino and play some dominoes.” Spinner replied.

“Man rehab has turned you into a pussy.” Jay laughed.

The two walked back to Spinner's car laughing on the way.

'Maybe with Alex gone I can finally straighten Jay's life around.' Spinner thought. 'I might even get him to quit doing drugs. And do something about that hair.'

“You know Jay I think that this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.” Spinner said as they took off .

“Man that was gay.” Jay added. “True, but gay.”

And so ends this. I really hope that Alex comes back at least once more and if she leaves takes Paige with her. If they try to put her with someone else I don't know what I'll do.

Sorry if Alex seemed OOC at the end, but I find that Paige brings out her sensitive side. And I know I made Marco seem like an idiot, but I just like messing with him. He's actually my second favorite character.
