Cullen Karaoke, a Twilight fanfic

The Cullen's living room was dark and quiet. The sofas had been pushed up against the wall, and a small platform was put in the middle of the room. In front of the platform there was a small TV screen, with large speakins sitting next to it. On the ceiling, their was a large disco ball, rotating around, shooting different colors around the room. Infront of the Karaoke equipment, there were six chairs. They were occupied by the youngest Cullens and Bella. Behind them, sitting at a small table was Esme and Carlisle. They were shuffling papers around, looking over some and writing little notes on others. The excited teens squirmed in their seats to excited to talk. Finally after what seemed ages, Esme grabbed the mic resting between her and Carlisle, and spoke into it.

"Good evening Cullens! And Bella," she added, nodding her head polietly towards Bella, who beamed. "Tonight we have eight wonderful singers signed up to do some Cullen Karaoke!!" she annouced the last part like she was annoucning something very important. "We will randomly pick out contestants and you will go up and sing your song. When everyone has gone, we will pick a winner, and the winner can pick a song for all of us to sing. The winner will receive a two thousand dollar gift card to some of the best designer stores like, Prada, and Channel. They will also recieve a ticket to a flight to anywhere in the US that they want to go." she looked around the room at the excited teens. "Who's ready?" she asked.

"Ooh!! Me me me me!" Alice's voice rang out in a melodic tune. Esme smiled before reaching into a basket and pulling out a slip of paper. "Bella! Your up first!" She called. Bella's eyes widened. She was s good singer, she was in the church chorous when she was little, but singing infront of Edward, and a song for him just made her heart stop. Emmett hooted and hollared with Jasper and Alice. Edward grinned and Rosalie got a 'let's see what she's made of' look on her face. Bella stood up and walked tentatively onto the platform. She only had to wait a few seconds before the music to her song came on.

As soon as the up-beat music came, Bella let go of her self consiousness and started swinning her head to the music, rocking her hips back inforth. Alice whistled and laughed as Emmett cat called her, earning a reproving look from Rosalie. Suddenly Bella's dancing stopped and the music got slow.

The music came on again and she started dancing, doing moves even she didn't know she knew how to do.

The room burst into a round of applause and whistling, mostly on Emmett's part. She quickly ducker her head down and made her way back to her seat, her cheeks glowing.

"Well Done!" came Carlisle voice over the mic. "We already chose the second person, so Emmett, you're up." Everyone laughed as Emmett had a grin come on his face before leaping up and bounding towards the platform. His music came on and everyone instantly started laughed.

Everyone was laughing hard, bending over from the pain in their stomachs. Esme was trying not to laugh and give him dissaproving glares, not suceeding. Jasper was trying to calm Rosalie down who was starting to get embarrased as Emmett kept winking at her. Edward leaned over to her, "I guess we know your secret Rose." he laughed.

Bella couldn't catch her breath and ALice was almost rolling on the floor laughing. If it wasn't enough, Jasper was having mixed emotions. He was already laughing hard, and everyone else laughing was making it hard for him to contro himself. Rose's embarrasment was making him laugh weird, as if he wa trying to hide it, and Esme's reprovingness, made him give weird glares to nothing in paticular.

The song ended, and there were two less people sitting in chairs then there were before he started. Bella and Alice were clutching each other, trying to help eachother up, but to no previal.

"That was very. . .interesting Emmett, remind me to lock Rosalie in her room at night." Carlisle said with a small smile. Rosalie looked as if she wanted to melt into the floor. "Next we have Jasper." Jasper tried to control his emotions as he went on stage. The music came on and he started singing.

Bella and Alice took out their phones and started waving them in the air. Edward was trying not to laugh, and Emmett was trying to get Rosalie to talk to him.

Alice stood up and started clapping viggorously. Jasper took a small bow before grinning and walking off. Bella gave him a high five before he sat down.

"Wonderful Jasper, that was very deep and sensative." Esme approved. "Next is Alice!"

Alice squealed and was on stage before anyone could blink. Her music came on and she clapped her hands excitedly.

Bella gave Edward an 'i told you she would sing that song' look. He grinned in defeat. He knew Alice would chose a song like this. He and Bella beat on if she would sing this or Barbie Girl. Bella won.

Esme gave Carlisle a 'You did not give her that idea did you?' Carlisle shook his head, smiling. giving her a 'I had nothing to do with this' look. Alice stopped singing and skipped back to her seat.

"Wonderful Alice, just what I tell you everyday, come home if you have no money." he grinned. "next we have Rosalie!"

Rosalie jumped up walking gracefully onto the stage. The up beat music came on and she swayed her magnificant hips in tune to the music.

Esme had a small venumous tear in her eye as she finished. She curtsied before leaving the stage.

Edward grinned, earning a clap on the back from Emmett, before getting up and bounding to the stage.

Every one applauded, and Emmett whistled. Edward bowed before sitting back down in his seat.

Esme and Carlisle talked quietly for a bit, before Esme looked up and took the microphone.
