Hi again! Read on!
“I think we need to talk”
“about what?”
“I’m pretty sure you know what” Tenten gave her a suggestive look
Kana sighed with nervousness, her mother sat beside her
“so… who is it?”
“What do mean mom?”
“You know what, now tell me” Tenten smiled
Kana gulped “His name is… is … his name is Kosuke”
“Kosuke, huh?” Tenten put a thoughtful look on her face “He was in my class at the academy, smart boy, but quiet, and trust me I know the type” her mother gave a quick glance to her husband, Neji, in the kitchen.
“You like him don’t you?”
Seeing as it was useless to lie she responded “Yes, I mean, I like him, I really, really do, but…”
“but what?”
Kana mumbled something under her breath quietly, Tenten furrowed her borws in confusion for a second “say it again honey”
“He doesn’t like demons, despite the fact that I learned he’s part demon”
Tenten sighed “ oh honey… It’s going to be okay”
“No it’s not! You don’t know how it’s like, okay!” Kana could feel tears tempting her to let them fall “”You don’t know what it’s like being the only different one out of your whole family and not being able to connect with any of them in terms of your own personal feelings!”
Tenten’s eyes were shadowed by her bangs “Yeah… I don’t know what its like” she spoke in a calm but tensed voice “despite the fact that I was an adopted child, who didn’t know her real parents, but who only knew that they didn’t want you because you weren’t what they wanted, because your were different to them…”
Kana eyes widened, she never knew her mother was adopted
“Yet, I still manage to raise kids you don’t I? I still manage to understand what your feeling even though my past can’t measure to yours, despite the fact that I as your mother was there through most of it!” Tenten’ started to raise her voice and she let her head rise to make her chocolate brown eyes meet her daughter’s
“Mom I—” her mother cut her off
“Despite the face that I’m in pain too every time you, my children, are as well!”
The house was silent she could sense that her family was listening in, while she could clearly feel her father’s prescence behind her, his chakra was tensed as well
“yeah, I have no idea…” Tenten was clearly angry, not at Kana, but at what she had said.
“Kana” her father spoke, he was clear and made sure she understood him “We both know what that feels like, maybe not at your measures, but we do understand, just like your Uncle Naruto, your Uncle Sasuke, sometimes your Auntie Sakura as well as the many other part demon children who have lost their families long ago, wether emotionally or physically”
Kana felt a surge of guilt build in her, she acted selfish “I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean what I said I—”
“It’s okay Kana” Tenten looked at her daughter with a warm smile “ but in reality, you need to think before you say things like that”
“I know, it was just out of anger and—” she was cut off again, jeez nobody would let her speak today.
“I know honey, it’s okay, don’t’ worry about it” Tenten smiled at her again
Neji wandered into the conversation “So, what’s this about this Kosuke boy? Hm?”
Kana looked at her mother with a look that said ‘help me here!’
“Kana sweetie how about you get to bed, you look so tired” Tenten responded, her daughter gave her a thankful look before running upstairs.
Neji sighed in a somewhat aggressive manner while Tenten just laughed at her husband’s reaction. His reaction went from somewhat defeated to slyness as he scooped up his wife and carried her upstairs to their room.
