A/N: PLAYOFFS!! My wireless bill will be awful for the next couple of months! Since I work nights, I receive the scores via text messaging but a very nice customer who lives next door to the video store I work at comes between periods to give me the highlights. Am I ever thankful that my team isn’t playing on Monday!

Booth reached in his jacket pocket, smiling. He never thought he’d see the day when his Bones would actually wear her wedding ring. He thought back of when he had told her it would be nice for them to have them and she’d sprung up some analogy of him just wanting to show off that she was his property which she wasn’t, thank you very much. He remembered telling her she wouldn’t have to wear it if she didn’t want to and that she could choose the rings they would have and wear, eventually. She had surprised him, yet again, when a week later while examining a body, she relented saying that the fact of owning wedding rings seemed important to him and that they should buy them. She wouldn’t wear it but she agreed to carry it with her wherever she went.
Her whisper brought him out of his daydream. "We should excuse ourselves for this. It seems too personal."
He nodded and stood up, extending his hand. When he felt hers in his, he turned to face their friends. "We’ll be back in a few minutes."
Angela was about to argue when she saw her friends faces. "But you will come back, right?" They nodded and she smiled. "Fine. I’ve been waiting for years for this so what are a few more minutes?"
Cam smiled at their retrieving figures. "Thank God, they finally came to their senses!"
Angela turned and smiled. "Amen to that, sister!" And both women started laughing.

As they exited, Brennan turned to him. "Let’s go to the lake."
"Hodgins has a lake?” She nodded. "What does he keep in there? Piranhas?"
She shook her head. "D.C. temperatures doesn’t allow piranhas to be in a lake year round."
He rolled his eyes. "I was being sarcastic, Bones! Even I know that the water temperature isn’t right."
"Oh." She shrugged then looked at him. "How come you know that?"
He smiled. "I had a couple when I was a teen. Told my Mom they were harmless fish."
She smiled. "They are not harmless, Booth."
He shrugged. "She didn’t need to know that. I had promised to keep the aquarium clean. She had a fit when she found out I was sneaking in goldfish to feed them. I gave them names, too."
"The goldfish?"
He sighed. "No, Bones. The piranhas had names. I called them Freddy and Jason from the horror movies."
She laughed softly. "You are a weird man, Seeley Booth."
He wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "Yet, you love me."
She smiled. "Yes, I do. Which is why I think it’s time we wore those rings."
He smiled. "I thought you didn’t want to wear it because it was like a stamp of property or something."
She sighed. "Can’t someone change their minds? That ring is a sign of commitment and love two things we obviously share. Plus, Parker keeps asking me where’s my ring. He thinks we’re not actually married if we don’t wear those rings."
He bit his lip so he wouldn’t laugh. "So you’re basically telling me that in two years, I couldn’t get you to wear it but one word from Parker and you agree? Remind me to buy him the bike he’s been dying for."
She took a deep breath. "Is the fact that Parker convinced me all you’re getting from this conversation?"
He smiled and pulled her close. "No. It’s because you love me and I love you and you now want the world to know. You don’t know how happy that makes me."
She returned his smile. "Then how about you put that ring on my finger, we go in there and give them their kiss and then you take me home? We never really did have a wedding night."
"I like the way you’re thinking, Dr Brennan."
--
Angela watched them come back in with grins on their faces. She hugged Jack. "This is the best wedding gift, ever."
He smiled. "I don’t want to disappoint you but they haven’t kissed yet. They could be playing us." He winced as Angela smacked him behind the head. "Fine, they’re not."
Booth and Brennan stopped in front of their table and smiled at each other before stepping closer together. Both heard the squeal coming from Angela as their lips met and she spotted their wedding rings. When they finally broke apart, they were faced with all their friends smiling at them, applauding.
Brennan was the first to recover. "Thank you for a nice evening, but we’re going home."
Angela frowned. "But we wanted to make a toast!"
Booth gathered their things, smiling. "Let’s just say we have marriage things to get out of the way."
Jack stared at him. "Like what? You’ve been married for two years!"
Brennan blushed. "True but we never had a wedding night."
Booth sighed. "Too much information, Bones!" He pulled on her hand to get her moving. "See you guys on Monday! Jack, Ange, have a nice honeymoon. Let’s go, babe."
Brennan turned to their friends. "What he said. Bye."
Angela sighed happily as she watched her flustered friends walk out. Jack turned to her. "How about we take their cue and start our wedding night?"
THE END!!
