If two people are objects of each other's desires...

Can they truly be bound by love?

The day is cold and depressing. Storm clouds hover over the city as a brunette hurries back to his apartment. He is young, about nineteen with the cutest sparkling blue eyes people would tell him. His smile was contagious that if he did it, even the most depressed person would have to give a small smile, at the least. The young male opens the door back, places his boots near the door, and calls out softly.

"I'm home."

A redhead pops up to greet him and wraps his arms around the small brunette's waist and hugs him.

"I missed you, Sora." The green eyed person whispers into his ear, arms securely in place.

Sora just gives a small, sad smile and rests his head on the other's chest. "You too, Axel."

"Roxas... Roxas..."

Sora looks down to Axel as he quietly calls out that name, clinging onto him like he was the anchor of his dreams. His cries are anguished, and that person's name is constantly said, like it was a new mantra. Axel's hands grip onto the sleeves of his sleeping clothes and his face holds a disturbed expression. Sora wraps his arms around the other and quietly calms him down.

"Axel..." He whispers softly in a soothing voice.

The said person calms down from his disruptive sleep and lingers on Sora.

"Roxas..."

Sora listens to the lightning strikes and the rain dropping onto the windows.

"Riku!" He cries out in pure ecstacy, paying no heed to what he had just said. He came all over the other's firmly built six pack.

The other male had shuddered and groaned. "Roxas..."

They collapsed in each other's arms and held tightly to each other, as if they would both disappear if they let go. The taller redhead possessively wrapped his arms around the petite brunette, digging his head into the other's hair and inhaling the smell of sweat and sex.

The day Axel had asked Sora out, it was raining.

That day was grey. The clouds spread out all over the sky like a blanket. It was hard walking up to the brunette's house and knocking on the door. The door opened and there stood Sora, in all his glory. Well, perhaps it wasn't as glorious as it should've been.

"How have you been, Sora?"

He nodded at him with a weak smile on his face.

"Hello, Axel."

It had started from there.

The night of their first date, it was also raining.

The angels grieved for their suffering and for their wrong decisions, but it didn't matter now. It was far too late to go back.

Axel acted like a gentleman and gave Sora his coat while shielding him from the drops with an umbrella. Sora told him it was okay and that he didn't have to cover him with an umbrella, he loved the rain. Axel sighed and put the umbrella down, the water soaking both their hairs down to the scalp. He watched Sora dance in it with a soft smile, and looked up to the depressing sky.

He reluctantly decided he liked the rain.

It let him cry.

The time that Axel offered to let Sora moved in with him, it was raining.

Sora literally let out tears of happiness as he tackled the redhead, telling him how happy he was. Axel let out a small laugh and patted the boys head before kissing him on the cheek. He looked into baby blue eyes and his smile seemed to falter.

He asked if he could go outside for a minute.

Every time their relationship progressed, it had rained.

Why? Because Axel was an imperfect man. And Sora was an imperfect human. They were perfect for each other.

If illusions were what made them happy, then so be it.
