Large amounts of snowflakes were falling down from the sky. Making the whole village covered under a white blanket of snow.

Inuzaku Kiba seated on his white dog Akamaru. Walked through the forest, in search for his missing team-mate, the Heiress Hyuga Hinata. The girl had disappeared last night, without a trace.

Making her family worried sick, well more her cousin Neji and younger sister Hanabi. (Her cousin always the over protective one.) Had searched for her but without any success.

Having only one option left. He had to swallow his pride to go and ask her close friend and team-mate Kiba to go in the cold weather and trying to find her with the help of his best friend the big white dog, Akamaru. Both born trackers.

When he appeared at the door of the Inuzaku compound. Telling them the bad news, Kiba almost rushed outside in the cold to go find her, if it wasn’t for his mother who stopped him. By trying to explain to him it was no use to go out there now in the cold and dark night.

He better wait for the next day to go after her. After some advice (and lectures) from his sister and his mother, he had to see reason. And made plans to go after her early in the morning.

After Nenji had left, Kiba went to bed, but sleep didn’t come he kept thinking about Hinata and where she could have gone to right now. Akamaru noticed his master’s uneasiness, and whined softy."We will find her boy, trust me on this."

The dog stood up from his place next to Kiba’s bed. And licked him full on the face. That was his way of telling him that he trusted his master with everything. Kiba laughed heartily, "Silly dog, now come on we need to get some sleep, or else we can’t be in perfect shape to find her," Akamaru barked and lay down on the floor with his eyes closed. Kiba followed his example and closed his eyes slowly. Falling into a dreamless sleep.

The next day Kiba and Akamaru set out early, but going through all that snow was not so simple task. Being very worried the boy became desperate. After spending the whole morning searching. And still finding no trace he decided to take a little break. Seated himself on a broken tree trunk he started to think.

While Akamaru stayed next to him whinnying quietly. He gave his master a sad look, and lay down on the ground with his pawns over his head.

Akamaru had done his very best, trying to find Hinata’s sent. But in the end; there was absolutely nothing that smelled like her.

"Hey buddy don’t give up just yet. We will find her and you know it we only need to think really hard, where could she be? But it’s so hard when you don’t have some notes or any clues at all. Damn, it really doesn’t make any sense." Kiba noted, scowling towards the ground.

Frustrated the boy slammed his fist on the wood damaging it a little I have known her for so long, almost 4 years now, "And still I don’t know her secret hiding places. So why can’t I find her?"

But than it hit him. "Of course why haven’t I thought about it sooner she went to our secret place, the one only team 8 knows about. She always goes there to think and to be alone."

Akamaru shook his head and barked softly.

"Quickly now buddy, we need to make haste. Everyone is worried about her we cant let hem wait now can we?" He jumped on his dog’s back and together they run through the forest. Towards team 8 hiding place, which has been in secret for 2 years in a row now.

They had promised to never speak of there secret when others were around. Only members of there team were supposed to know about it. No one else.

It was a place deeply hidden inside the forest. Sheltered by tree’s, it was impossible to find. But one summers' day when the days were hot and it became unbearable to stay in the sun. Kiba together with Hinata and his dog Akamaru. decided to make a little stroll in the forest. They walked for hours until suddenly the little pup, disappeared. Kiba worried about his best buddy and searched everywhere. And when he finally found him both shinobi watched with amazed eyes at the view before them...

A huge waterfall came into view and behind it you could see a small cave. They rushed over to the scared puppy, and while Kiba scoped the little dog into his arms, Hinata made a few steps towards the cave, curious.

What might be hidden there? Kiba followed his team-mate, and together they scouted the whole area. Promising each other to keep this place hidden in there memory’s.

Having a not so good relation with her family especially with her father the girl had to endure a lot of pain and disappointed looks from him never really accepted by him the girl always seemed to be to low in his eyes. Telling her she was a failure and a disgrace.

He had found her countless of times kneeled down near the waterfall staring into space, tears on her streaking face.

Trying to make her feel better he gently talks to her, until she slowly let her head fall on his shoulders, and gave up her crying. He always told her how much she was needed in this world how important she was to him and her team-mates. She always smiled giggled softly. And told him how happy she was to have him as her best friend. Somehow those words always seemed to hurt him he wanted to be in her heart but in a different kind of way more in a way of love.

Judging that was the case she might have run away from home to hide and be alone in her secret place. But with all the snow and the ice cold weather. You might think she was wiser than that and stayed inside that only mends making haste. What if the girl was freezing to dead? No his head had to stay clear, only focusing on the way ahead that was the only thing important now nothing else matters, but to find his team-mate Hinata.

When they finally arrived at the place. It shocked him how much snow was lying on the ground near the sheltered trees. Hoping with all his might the girl was not there. But save at some of her friends places. Even Naruto’s, if that mend her being warm and not outside in the freezing cold. Slowly getting off Akamaru’s back. Kiba made his way through the trees until he arrived at the cave with its huge waterfall.

Once his feet met the secret place. He knew his thoughts were right. There kneeled down near the small river was his lost team-mate Hyuga Hinata. And she was crying. Small tear drop’s fell down on the ground, and her clothes, but she didn’t care much.

Akamaru followed his master, the dog wanted to know why his master’s best friend was crying. He whined softly being all confused.

Kiba approached his team-mate slowly. Not wanting her to get scared or anything he just needed to know why she was here in the cold crying once again.

"Hina-chan? What’s wrong?" He seated himself next to her he waited patiently for her crying to stop. So that she could give him a good answer.

The young girl faced her team-mate, who was looking at her with such friendly eyes what made her almost jump into his arms to cry, "Kiba-kun, what are you doing here?"

"Hinata, I came because I knew to find you here when something is bothering you, don’t you know how worried everyone is? Leaving without a note. It was your cousin, Neji. Who came to my door to tell me you were gone."

"What happened to make you run away like that? You know you can tell me anything so please Hina-chan can you tell me what’s wrong?"

She gave him a sad look nodded and started to explain what happened

"Kiba-kun, it all started, last morning, while I was training, my father suddenly appeared, his Byakugan activated, telling me, with such a angry voice. 'Your useless training wont do you any good anymore,' and started to hit me, with his hands.

"I was so afraid, that I totally forgot to leave a note, my only thought weas, that I had to get away...and that’s how I ended up here.

"But please Kiba-kun don’t go there, and try to fight my father. It's no use, I even don’t know myself why he acted that way!"

Kiba was shocked, "I knew it, it was your father again. It's always the same. Why can't he just leave you alone, instead of always brining you down with words, I'm sorry Hina-chan this had to stop.

"But, first thing we need to do now is bring you home, you look awful."

Hinata only nodded and said, "Thank you Kiba-kun," and smiled sweetly.

Lifting her up on Akamaru’s back, Kiba seated himself after her and they left, to face Hinata’s father

After a long ride, they arrived at the Hyuga residence. Kiba gently scoped the girl in his arms and walked with her towards the front door, while Akamaru slowly followed.

Hinata was scared what might happened when she returned home, not a clue of why her father, was being so mad at her. It only made her feel more unfortable, hoping that when Kiba came face to face with her father. He was not going to start a fight. She knew how much he cared for her, and only wanted to protect her from harm, but when it came to her father, he was just no match...

Kiba’s thought were not so different from Hinata’s he too was thinking what might happen once inside, but he was confident that he was able to face it. He wondered plenty of times, why her father always treated her like she was some of sort of trash, needed to be destroyed. He was so sick of it, and he knew he was not the only one, his sensei Kurenai, felt so deeply for the poor girl that she had offered Hiashi, Hinata’s father, to adopt her, to take better care of the girl...But being the proud man that he was, he strongly disagreed, saying she was the heir to the Hyuga clan. All that she had to do was getting strong, so that he could no longer feel, ashamed of her.

Was his patience finally running out? Or was it something else? Kiba was not sure. All he cared for right now was to get some answers. And he needed them now.

Akamaru opened the door, for his master, so that he could get inside easily, and waited in the hall way, while barking softly. Kiba nodded and petted the dog gently on his head.

"I know buddy, I am a little bit scared too."

He smiled softy, and gave his timed team-mate a soft wink. "Don’t worry Hina-chan we are all together in this, there is nothing to be afraid of. Your father needs to come with a very good explanation, right now. I am so sick of this." He said with anger in his voice.

Soon after they entered the house, Hiashi the clan’s leader, opened the door. To find his daughter in the arms of her team-mate, the doglike man. Inuzuka Kiba.

His face quickly turned into a scowl, when he saw the sight before him. He hadn’t expect her back so soon, but not able to stop his brother’s son Neji, of asking assistance, from her team-mate, the Inuzuka. She was bound to be found not before long.

That boy was always so over protective over his daughter, even more than her cousin. Sometimes,

that worried him, more than once.

"Hum, Inuzuka-san, I see that you have found my missing daughter.I am very grateful for that. But I think its time for you to leave now, if you please? She and I need to have some serious talking here, you are no longer needed."

Kiba who seemed to be lost in his own thoughts. Slowly returned back when the serious man was talking to him. Still holding his team-mate in his arms, he softly brought her down, so that she could stand on her own feet.

Kiba returned his attention back to the Hyuga clan leader, and spoke loud, but slowly.

"Hiashi-sama, I don’t think I understand you clearly, I have heard all about what happened last morning, and I tell you now I am sick of the way you always seem to threaten your daughter. I am her team-mate and the one family, she so desperately needs. But I am sure you probably think I am just a mere, stray dog. Not able to understand anything at all, about the Hyugas' and there weird family problems. That’s fine with me. All I am trying to say here is that I care deeply for her. And don’t want to see tears on her fair face, every time we meet."

Hiashi really was getting madder and madder at the kid. How dare he insulting him...

"Now you listen boy and you listen good, I want you gone right this instance. Is that clear. You have no right of speaking to me in that way. What I do with my daughter is not of your concern. I don’t care if you are her team-mate, or not!" Heaving, he pointed at the door and gave him a glare that could kill.

Kiba started back at the furious man, but knew, it was no use to continue this meaning less discussion. He gave Hinata one concerned look before he disappeared behind the door. Hoping his words held meaning to the proud Hyuga clan leader.

Hinata was shocked by the words, her team-mate just dared to speak.. His words were so full with emotion. And while looking in his eyes she discovered something unusual, a light shinning just as bright as the light she always found while looking into the eyes of Uzumaki Naruto. And that one thing really amazed her, because it was the first that she ever saw it in her team-mates eyes. Was he really that concerned about her well being? She knew, that his team mend everything to him. But really this much? She was getting really confused now.

Her father who was still standing in the door opening, was staring at his daughter. Not feeling all to happy about what just happened. "Hinata come away from that door, we really need to talk"

The shy girl obeyed his orders and slowly moved away from the door, to follow her father inside the house. Feeling scared again, now that Kiba had gone away. She wondered what might happen.

Her father brought her to the training hall, and when they arrived there, he ordered her to sit down. She meekly did, and sat down on the floor. Looking at her father with a sad look on her face.

"Hinata why did you run away like that? It only proves how much of a disgrace you are to me, showing such weakness, its unworthy for a Hyuga to act like this. How many times didn’t I tell you that?" Hinata only nodded and stayed silent.

"You are 17 years old now, and still you haven’t improved one bit. OK, you are a chunin now but when it comes to real strength, your little sister, Hanabi, easily beats you to it. Why I ask myself, why cant you be more like your sister? Instead of playing the innocent one.

"It worries me greatly, because one day you will be the next clan leader. And there is one thing a clan leader must not leg and that’s strength and confidence as well. Those two things are what makes a leader worthy of holding the title of the Hyuga leader. Do you understand that right? Look at me Hinata." The girl did so and stares back into her fathers serious eyes.

"And one more thing before I let you go. What is the deal with your team-mate, the Inuzuka boy? Why did he dared to speak to me like that? His manners are horrible!"

"Father I really think he only wanted to protect me. That’s how he is, you know that right?"She softly said.

"Ahh yes he really is the protective one of your team right ? I think that’s needs to stop. One day you will be married and the new clan leader what will he do than? Still staying close by your side to make sure you are all right? No that’s one thing we cannot approve of..."

"Father please stop talking about Kiba-kun like that, he is my team-mate and my best friend! I really care for him, I hope you can understand that." With that the girl stood up from the floor, she was sitting on and faced her father, with new found confidence.

"Father I think what Kiba said, was right." And without waiting for her father to respond back the girl almost run to the door, because she really was scared. It was Kiba that gave her the confidence she so badly needed.

Shaking his head Hiashi rubbed his temples and went to find his youngest daughter for a sparring match. Hoping the worries he had for his eldest where going away, after a long and hard training session.

His eldest daughter was changing and not in the way he wanted her to change. But more in the way her team-mate that Inuzuka brat encouraged her in, and that was one thing he was not so happy about. Of course it was good she was finally coming up for herself but what worried him the most was the feelings that boy seemed to have for his daughter, he had to keep a close look on him from now on. With that though in mind, the proud Hyuga leader entered his youngest daughters room and closet the door behind him.

Meanwhile we find Hinata seated on her bed in front of her small mirror. Looking at her own reflection the mirror made of her. She was in deep thoughts. Thinking about her fathers words and most of all her precious team-mates, Kiba-kun’s. She was not sure what to think of it all being all confused with the actions he made.

Could it be that he had secret feelings for her,? But was not able to tell her yet? If that was the reason he acted they way he did how was she supposed to feel about it ? confront him face to face ore maybe waiting for him to make the first move? She was getting tired of all that thinking and soon, the young purple haired girl drifted of into dream land, dreaming about one brown haired wild boy by the name of Kiba.

Later that day when the sun just was about to make space for the moon to appear. Hinata awoke again. Wrapping the sleep out of her eyes, the young girl sat right up on her bed. Still a bit dazed by her sudden sleep. She didn’t notice her younger sister standing next to her bed, patiently waiting for her to wake up fully.

"Hinata-nii-sama, I came to tell you dinner is ready, are you ready to join us ?" The young girl gave her sister a sweet smile and awaited her answer.

"Of course I will Hanabi-chan, give me five minutes for me to get ready, ok ?" She nodded and left the room again. So that Hinata could dress proper for dinner. Her father always wanted from both his daughters that they were dressed nicely while eating together.

She decided to wear her green long sleeved shirt and underneath that her dark blue long skirt. After being all dressed up, she brushed her long lilac trashes before the mirror. Opened her door and went to see her family to eat dinner.

Lets go see what our Inuzuka boy is up to now shall we? We find Him stretched out on his bed, with his dog Akamaru lazily beside him.

Thinking about the scenes that played earlier this day, not really sure what to make of it all, the boy was greatly confused. Trying so hard to prove to Hinata’s father that he needed to change his methods of how he treated his daughter. After some more thinking Kiba decided he needed some serious advice. And the one person he needed it from had just got back home from a mission. So it seemed, when Kiba heart 3 dog’s barking excitedly. His big sister Hana had returned after a long and hard mission.

The boy jumped down the stairs in not more than a few minutes, before he grabbed his sister into a big hug. Telling her how much he missed her. Hana quickly puts his arms away again and gave her younger brother a startled look. "Hello to you to Kiba. What have I done to deserve such a welcome? Or is it something you need my help with?" Giving him a skeptical look, the young woman knew her brother all to well.

"Well, uhm, sis, it's like this, I kind a made a mess today at Hinata’s house, you know the Hyuga’s residence, and at the end I yelled at her father. Telling him that he needed to treat his daughter better. You know how he can get when it comes to Hina-chan."

"Whoa Kiba. Can you tell me what happened before you and Hiashi-sama started to have a fight please? I cant follow it if you start in the middle of the story ok ?"

"All right it all started when Hinata went missing, and Neji came to our house, asking for my help to go and find her. I directly agreed and the next day, me and Akamaru went out to search for her. We had some difficulty’s, but after some time we found her inside team 8's secret hiding place. And the rest you know."

Hana nodded, she had all ready thought that her younger brother had a crush on the shy Hyuga girl. And him acting that way only proves it even more.

"You like her don’t yeh?" Kiba’s cheeks started to turn red. And he seemed to be without words. "Its all right bro, I know you do, its funny that you finally seemed to notice your feelings for her, when it was all so obvious for a very long time all ready"

‘"It was ?" Kiba gave his sister a weird look.
"Don’t look at me like that when you know its true. Now just let me handle this. Tonight you go visit Hinata and take her with you!
And I want you to confess your feelings for that shy girl, she needs to know the truth, can you do that for me little bro? Leave the rest all up to me, all right?"

Kiba was startled for just one moment trying to take it all in, before he nodded his head and smiled brightly at his sister. "You are the best siser ever!"

"I try my best," Hana said.

"But one question what about her father when I go there and try asking Hinata to come with me."

"Like I said before leave that all up to me you just worry about her cousin, Neji, you are in big trouble when he finds out you are sneaking late at nights round her room, understand?"

"All right now that I helped you with your little love affair, I think its time to have some dinner! Kiba go feed the dog’s while I make us some fright potatoes."

"All right, Come Akamaru time for your dinner, I bet you must be hungry by now!" The large white dog barked in response and whipped with his large tail, showing how happy he was when he was finally getting his deserved dinner. Kiba went outside to feed the 9 dogs his sister and mother held inside a large cage. Feeding them large bouts of meat the 9 hungry dog quickly attacked there dinner and started to eat.

When done he went back inside to feet his own dog, and to eat himself. Hana had all ready placed 2 plates on the kitchen table and was waiting for him to return back. "Quick now Kiba, ore else its getting to late for our plan to work."

"Yea I know Sis..." He sat down on his chair and started to eat his dinner.

With there mother being away on a missions , it was Hana that always took care of the house and her younger brother. At this moment she had just left on a mission for 2 months leaving a note on the fridge. what said how long she should be gone. Kiba and Hana were used to it by now so it was nothing new for them. There mother being away for such a large amount of time.

After dinner was done. Kiba went to take a quick shower before he went to visit Hinata,

Thinking about his shy team-mate made his heart go wild. He knew his sister was right. all he needed to do was tell her his feelings, simple as that. But what if things went wrong? What than? No now was not the time to go and think about negative thoughts, his mind had to stay clear.

He went inside the shower, to let the warm water wash all of his bad thoughts away. Making him feel, more relaxed and more sure of himself.

After his shower the boy dressed himself, he pulled quickly a brush through his wild hair and went back to his sister to discus there plans some more. Really hoping the ideas his sister had in mind were going to work. Wondering what she was going to do to distracted the big serious man. Kiba rushed down the stairs and went back inside the living room.

Hana who had been seated on the sofa the whole time waiting for her brother to be ready looked at him and gave him a bright smile. "Ready, bro, for your big confession? Don’t worry if you just listen to what I am about to tell you, nothing will go wrong!"

"I am sure it will sis," he said and grinned a little. "but tell me what are you going to do to distract Hyuga-sama? It's making me really curious to tell you the truth."

"Ahh, that is still a secret and I don’t think you want to find out, why don’t you just focus on your little date with Hinata let me handle this all right? Quickly I want you gone now." He gave his sister one puzzled look before he jumped on the back of his dog and was on his way.

"Trust me Kiba I make sure you will get your girl in the end." With that the young Inuzuka woman went back outside to give some attention to her 3 dogs.

---

"Hey buddy, do you think Hina-chan will accept my feelings" he asked while riding.

The large white dog barked loudly. "You really think she will ?" barking one more time Akamaru was getting a little annoyed by his master’s lack of confidence. And gave a little shake with his head. "I know buddy I need to have a little more confidence in myself, you’re right." Akamaru nodded and continued running, leaving his master to his thoughts.

Meanwhile back at the Hyuga residence we find Hinata back inside her room. After dinner she went back there to read a little. The poor girl still seemed very confused, but while eating, she really tried to hide it from her family, acting like nothing was wrong. While in reality, she was thinking about her team-mate Kiba. And how long it was going to cost him to come confess his feelings for her, if she was right about him that is.

She knew him for so long all ready, but never really noticed the way he always protected and cared for her, she was just to busy with given all her attention to her crush Uzumaki Naruto.

But at the end of last summer, when she finally had been brave enough to confess her feelings. She found him at the training grounds, kissing his team-mate Haruno Sakura. Blinded by tears, she ran away with great haste.

Her changes on having Uzumaki Naruto noticing her long gone, the poor girl was so sad that she exdentily run into her team-mate Kiba who seemed to walk right in front of her being in deep thoughts.

He being very worried about his shy team-mate knew right away what had happened when he saw her with tears on her fair face, he comforted the poor girl, and took her for some tea, to help her calm down. She had greatly accepted his offer, and had gone with him.

While inside the teahouse, she had calmed down enough, to tell him the reason why she had been so upset awhile ago, He listened quietly to what she had to say, and said a few words in between.

After she was done telling her story, the boy had given her a comforting smile, telling her everything was going to be all right. The rest of that summer went by in a rush, and Hinata and Kiba slowly became the best of friends.

Thinking back at that horrible summer, Hinata blamed herself for being so foolish to not noticing his affections, he seemed to have for her.

Standing up from her bed, the purple haired girl, walked towards her window, and started to watch the millions of stars that were shinning brightly this night. Until suddenly she saw a familiar sight before her, Looking better she could hardly believe her eyes, Kiba had come to visit her tonight. Her beloved team-mate had come for her, she just knew it.

Quickly she checked her elder cousin, Neji’s room, to make sure he was not around, to see that Kiba had paid her a little visit at nights. He was very strict when it came to boys who seemed to like his little cousin, especially when it came to Inuzuka Kiba. Lucky for her, the boy seemed to be away for the night. She checked the other rooms in search for her father, and when she finally found him. He was in deep conversion with Kiba’s elder sister Hana. That confused her greatly, but all ready glad he was distracted the girl quickly ran outside to met with her waiting team-mate.

---

Kiba who had arrived at the Hyuga Residence not so long ago, was really nervous knowing the time was near to tell her his feelings. He had sat down on the grass, patiently waiting for his sister to come to distract her strict father. and when she finally came, she had only given him a quick not before she disappeared again. Starting her part of the plan, so that he could visit his team-mate.

He sighed deeply. "OK buddy, time to be brave, wish me luck." Akamaru barked softly and licked his master’s hands, before the dog ran away, to give him the time alone he needed right now.

Watching the sky above him, he noticed it was surrounded by bright shinning stars, he smiled. Remembering that Hinata really loves them. "Great the weather is with me tonight..." He said to himself and continues walking.

Slowly he makes his way towards Hinata’s bedroom unaware she is all ready awaiting his arrival, standing under neat her favorite Sakura tree. While the wind plays with her long purple hair.

Kiba gets closer and closer and when he is almost there he sees the familiar appearance of his dear team-mate Hinata coming into view. He gets a little confused, and wonders what she is doing there, but decides to keep on going and quickly walks over to her.

"Hinata," he said, speaking in a very low voice. "I know it may sounds weird what I am about to tell you, and meeting you like this, late at nightis weird too, I apologize for all of that, but please can you listen to what this crazy team-mate of yours has to say?"

She gave him a soft nod, while a serious expression was to be read in her always gentle eyes. Knowing the time was right for the both.

"Hinata, you know we've been friends for quite some time now...and I want you to know that now...I don't see you in exactly the same way. I..."

"Kiba-kun?"

"Hinata, what I'm saying...is that I think I love you, ok? Please don't be angry"

"Kiba-kun...why would I be angry?"

"I. .Hinata-chan, I don't know. I'm sorry."

"Kiba please, I am not angry at all, it's you thatshould be angry at me."

"Huh me being angry at you? And why is that?"

Looking at her two feet , she felt a little uncomfortable. Should she tell him? Or not. In the end she chose the last option and faced him with a gentle smile on her face. "Kiba I also have something to tell you, do you remember last summer?"

"Of course I do, how could I forget?"

"Well since that time, when you and I became very close friends ,something changed. The feelings I used to have for Naruto-kun vanished, after he and Sakura-san became a couple. But I never had the nerve to tell you about my feelings for you. Can you please forgive me ?’’ She looked at him with such a pity look that he really had to do something about it to make her feel all better again. And before he could stop himself. His mouth slowly pressed onto hers and kisses her gently

"Of course can I forgive you," He said and grinned a little "Hina-chan, you don’t have to worry about a thing, how many times do I have to tell you that baka?" He said with a teasing voice, "And from now on things are going to be a whole lot better, trust me! Forget about Naruto! With me on your side together we are unbreakable!" She giggled softly and nodded her head

"Yes Kiba-kun, that’s right unbreakable we are." She softly said and gave him a soft kiss on his cheek. Finally all her troubles seemed to vanish in thin air all because of her most beloved team-mate Inuzuka Kiba.
