Sorry I didn't update right away. I got super busy after I posted the trailer. Anyway, please R&R :)

Chapter 1: What Could Be Wrong?

Madeline Fitzpatrick sat in English class resting her chin on her hand. She could barely pay attention to any of her surroundings lately. This was mainly because of something, or someone, special. He was always on her mind and it took her a while to figure out why.

I’m in love with Zack Martin…

Yes, it was true. Maddie had soon realized that after a while she had come to like the fourteen year old. He had grown up a lot since she first met him when he was ten. She always thought it was cute that he had a crush on her, but he never gave up on her. And soon she had come to like his flirtatious remarks, but she never admitted it to anyone.

The final bell rang and Maddie grabbed her things and left along with her classmates. As usual, she went to her locker to get her books that she needed to do her homework. As she headed out of the school to catch the bus she heard the music to “SOS” by the Jonas Brothers go off. Right away she grabbed her phone out of her bag wondering who would be calling her right after school. She saw the word ‘Home’ on the mini screen before flipping the phone open and putting it to her ear.

“Hello?” she said.

“Maddie, we need you at home right away,” came the voice of Mrs. Fitzpatrick. Maddie could already tell that something was up.

“Mom what’s wrong?” Maddie asked.

“Just come home, your father’s getting your brothers and sisters now,” Mrs. Fitzpatrick said.

“Okay, I’ll be there soon,” Maddie said. She flipped her phone shut and decided it would be faster to walk home since she didn’t live far away from the school.

As Maddie walked down the streets of Boston she kept wondering what could’ve been wrong. She knew that things at the Fitzpatrick household hadn’t been too peaceful lately. For the last few months Maddie’s parents have been fighting almost every night, keeping her and her siblings up late into the night.

But what if it’s not that? What if someone’s hurt or…worse?

All these things ran through Maddie’s head as he came up to her place across from Fenway Park. Little did she know what was in store for her when she opened the door to the Fitzpatrick residence...
