He smiled and cheered them up, just like he always did.

He protected the ones that felt hurt, just like he always did.

He acted totally happy and carefree, just like he always did.

He played pranks and made others laugh at his expense, just like he always did.

Yet they jeered and taunted him to make themselves feel better, just like they always did.

After all he never showed sadness, what was to make them believe he felt bad?

He still smiled and bore with it for them, like he always did.

He gave them so much, and in return they took everything else.

They took and took until there was nothing left of him to give.

Yet he still tried his best to give more.

And because of that his grades fell and he cared less about his own happiness.

And they blamed him for it.

After all they could never hurt him right?

He never looked sad, never looked angry, never fought back.

So he always got hurt.

But he bore with it for them, just like he always did.

He left them with a smile, and they felt better.

He left them with a prank and they felt happier.

He left them with a joke and they laughed.

They left him with harsh words and torments, and he smiled.

Because for them he would give anything… right?

He looked to the one he loved and she yelled.

He looked to his friend and his friend sneered.

He smiled and left.

He met people in the streets who hated him.

He yelled about his power and that they should respect him.

And then he smiled.

He found his house and closed the door.

The smile slipped of his face.

He lay down on his bed and stared at the ceiling.

He felt the burning of unshed tears. It passed though and his blank façade returned.

It was getting harder to keep up

It didn’t matter though, he was fine.

After all pain doesn’t hurt if it’s all you’ve ever felt.
