AN: Ok, I was REALLY bored and needed to write so I started this...yeah, I know I need to update the rest of my stuff, but I just don't feel inspired at all and this is an easy project.

Anyway, there will be some SasoxDei hints, but over this is TobixDei folks. Loosely based off "Memoirs of a Geisha" but not really.

Other side pairings (SemexUke): KisaxIta, PeinxKonan, KakuxHidan, NaruxSasu, OroxSasu, JiraiyaxTsun

The gentle tone of the pipa sung through the silence. The long-haired man in the center of the make-shift stage tapped his left heel to the beat, raising his arms towards the lantern lit ceiling before sweeping back, neck arching. His Adam's apple lowered as he swallowed, sweat running down to the hollow of his throat.

A blonde in the corner fingered the strings of the instrument carefully, pressing down harder on the chords as the speed of the dance picked up; his eyes barely even flickering down to check his finger positions. The music sped up as the movements of the dancing man became less fluid and were more rapid and prominent in succession.

All eyes followed the dark-haired man's movements, irises widening as he spun faster, robe whipping around him tightly as he twirled.

The dancing man suddenly stopped as if frozen in place before he fell limply to the floor, curled lashes fluttering closed against the skin of his cheek.

The last chord struck, resounding in the stunned silence.

Slowly, the onlookers began to clap, gaining speed until finally they were outright applauding the perfectly executed performance. The brunette stood gracefully, eyes still closed as he folded his hands into the sleeves of his robe. The blonde in the corner sighed and tucked the instrument back into the folds of his robe, politely clapping as he stifled a yawn. The other in the center of the floor bowed low, catching the gaze of an extremely pale man off to his right who smirked and applauded all the harder.

"Nothing less than expected of the legendary Uchiha Itachi." The man said with a toothy smirk, razor sharp teeth gleaming in the light.

Itachi sat down next to the man and leaned forward, picking up the teapot and pouring the man a cup. "I am glad that you enjoyed yourself, Hoshigaki-san. After all, I wouldn't be doing my job if you weren't thoroughly entertained." He smiled as the man tipped his head back and gulped down the contents of his tea cup.

The pale blue haired customer frowned "How many times do I have to tell you-" he stealthily reached around the brunette and squeezed his hip hard, causing Itachi to glare at him, dark eyes momentarily gleaming red. He simply grinned and finished "-to call me Kisame?"

A blue eyed blonde rolled his eyes and picked up his own tea cup, sipping the now cold beverage as he fought back a scowl and continued to watch the couple's exchange from his spot in the corner of the room. Konan would not be pleased if he pissed off any more guests. He clenched his fists tight in his lap and forced himself to glare down at his plate of food instead of the numerous guests now openly staring at him.

"Hey, Deidara, quit looking so fucking depressing."

The blue-eyed man glanced up and scowled at the silver haired man seated across from him, two attractive young women hanging onto his arms as he poured them both tea. They giggled as he handed them their cups, the shoulder of his robe slipping a few inches to reveal his pale collarbone. The blonde glared and straighten his own clothing at this, crossing both arms over his chest as the other man snickered.

"Stop cursing in front of the customers, Hidan or I'll have to report you, un." He spat, reaching down to pour himself another cup of tea.

The other man just smirked and leaned back. "Aw, don't be so put out, Dei-chan...Anyway, I'd have to say that this was Itachi's best performance yet, don't you agree? I know that Hoshigaki guy certainly had fun watching him just like all the other times...Seriously, this has got to be the fifth time he has booked us."

Deidara rolled his eyes again and pushed his bangs behind his ear, picking up his pair of chopsticks with the other hand, "Whatever. If Itachi likes being slobbered over by a creepy sharp-toothed albino, then let him, un." Hidan shrugged and leaned back on his palms as Deidara's gaze went right back to the couple conversing in front.

"I think someone is just upset that Sasori hasn't come to call for a while." Deidara's eyes widened "Come on Dei-chan, everyone at the house knows about how you've been mooning over him ever since he left to fight."

Hidan smirked and closed his eyes. "Jealousy does nothing; a complete waste of fuckin time. Just get over it and play the damn pipa...after all we are here to entertain this crowd aren't we? Get to it, blondie!"

Deidara gritted his teeth and slammed his chopsticks down onto his plate, bits of white rice spraying over the floor. For a moment, a couple of people stared at the hissing blonde, but their attention soon returned to the rest of the party who quickly drowned out the two bickering men. Hidan snickered and turned his head towards the girl on his right, playing with a strand of her curly black hair as she blushed and swooned under his purple half-lidded gaze.

Blue eyes darted back over to where Itachi was serving their host tea, a small smile gracing his normally apathetic features as the albino touched his shoulder and leaned in to whisper something into the shell of his ear. Deidara chewed on his lower lip and turned away from the two.

'How obvious can you fuckin get? How has Konan not noticed?'

He snorted and picked up his chopsticks again, stabbing at his rice and chewing silently. The men and women around him swallowed and scooted a couple of inches away from the enraged blonde as he brooded silently. He frowned and placed his chopsticks back down next to his plate. Sweeping back the folds of his robes, he stood and cleared his throat.

"I am terribly sorry, Hoshigaki-san, but I'm afraid that I will not be able to stay any longer."

The nearly transulcent albino glanced up and asked "Are you feeling alright, Deidara-san?" He made to stand, but Itachi's hand on his shoulder prevented him from doing so. He fixed his gaze back on Deidara for a moment and frowned as the blonde shook his head and bowed once more. "I apologize." He whispered, bangs swinging over to hide his face.

Kisame just nodded and sat back down next to Itachi who was back to calmly eating his noodles. "It's ok. Tell Konan that I sent you back early." The blue-haired man winked and grinned "I'm sure Sasori wouldn't want to come home to your face all bruised and blistered."

Deidara nodded and straightened his robe, tightening the sash around his waist as he started towards the door. "Thank you, Hoshigaki-san. I will repay your generosity."

Kisame waved him off. "It's no trouble kid, just get back to the house safely, ok?"

Deidara nodded again and closed the sliding door behind him, slipping on his sandals in the process. He sighed and looked up at the half-moon glowing dully above in the dusky night sky.

'Danna...why haven't you come back yet?'
