“You may kill me but you may never insult me. Who am I?” All Jack got in return was a blank stare. ‘’ow dare ‘e slight me onesies like this?! ‘e knows perfectly well who I am! . . . I think. I don’t remember ole Beckett bein’ that good at playin’ dumb. ‘e has to remember me! . . . Does ‘e? Well, I’ll remind his oh so glorious Lordship anyway.’ “I’m Captain Jack Sparrow.” Okay, that hadn’t come out near as confident as he’d meant it to. Ah well, still got the job done. As long as Beckett remembered the captain next time, he’d let the short git’s slight go just this once. Jack is a forgiving soul after all.
