Disclaimer : I do not own Beyblade! If I did there would be some major changes concerning Kai and Hiromi’s relationship.

AN: Okay, I had an urge to do a Valentines day fic, so I did some research and I came up with Giri- Choko ( Which is chocolate you give to coworkers and male friends) and Honmei-Choko (Which I believe is given to those you either have a crush on or love) but don’t take my word for it I could be wrong. Anyway, it was around 8 pm when I decided to write it so I am cutting it close time wise. As always I like to use the original Japanese names, so for those who don’t know them I will list them next. Anyway I hope you like it! Please review and tell me what you think.

February 13

16 year old Hiromi Tachibana stood at her kitchen counter pouring hot melted chocolate into small circular shaped molds. She then proceeded to put the molds into the refrigerator, pulling out a sheet of already cooled chocolates while in there.

“Alright,” she told herself while picking up an icing bag filled with white icing. “Now comes the hard part, decorating.” Twenty minutes and six messed up candies later, she finally started to get pissed. Growling she grabbed another candy.

“Honey.” Came a voice from the entrance to the kitchen. “If you don’t calm down, you will never get it right.”

‘Great its mom,’ Hiromi thought, ‘Now she is gonna want to help.’

“Do you need help dear?” Her mom asked walking up behind her.

“No mom, I need to do this myself.” Hiromi replied.

“Okay dear.” her mom called as she left the kitchen, a knowing smile on her face. ‘My little girl is growing up.’

Hiromi finally finished decorating her chocolates about an hour later. She smiles to herself as she distributed the chocolates into 5 small decorated boxes and one that was twice the size of the others. She then proceeded to label them. Takao, Rei, Max, Daichi, and Kyouju each got a small one. Hiromi blushed when she came to the large one, neatly writing out Kai’s name on the label.

‘Tomorrow’ she thought, ‘Tomorrow on Valentines day I will finally tell Kai. After three years of knowing him, I will finally tell him that I love him.’ And with that she put the boxes carefully in her bag and went to get ready for bed.

February 14

The next morning Hiromi woke up in a dazed and disoriented state, but it took her all of 2 minutes to remember what day it was a shot up out of bed. She looked to the clock and realized she had slept in longer than she had originally planned to, it was already ten! Quickly she took a shower and dressed in a pair of khakis and a teal blue turtleneck. Grabbing her bag and her black jacket, she ran out the door calling goodbye to her mom as she went out into the cold streets of her hometown. The first thing that she noticed was that it did not snow like the forecaster had predicted.

As she walked down the sidewalks towards Takao’s dojo, she started to get extremely nervous. ‘There is no turning back now,” she thought, ‘even if he rejects me I will still stay with the team, if only to still be near him.’

When Hiromi finally made it to Takao’s dojo, she found that it was empty. Thinking that they were training she went around to the back to find that they were indeed there. She saw that a grinning Max and a grumpy looking Takao were having a practice battle, while a smirking Kai, a smiling Rei, and a hyper Daichi stood around and watched. Kyouju was on his laptop as usual.

She carefully set her bag down next to Kyouju who was sitting on the porch, and walked up to the others.

“Why are you all back here training today instead of at the beach like normal?” Hiromi asked entirely confused. Kyouju decided to look up from his laptop at that point and answer her question.

“If any of them leave the dojo, especially Kai, they will get chased down by hoards of screaming fangirls, asking to be their valentine.” Kyouju chuckled at the grimace Kai gave at the thought of that. Hiromi laughed then she noticed that Takao still looked grumpy.

“What’s wrong with Takao, why does he look so upset?” She asked genuinely concerned. It was Rei’s turn this time to answer.

“Well Max and I both got chocolates in the mail today from Mariamu and Mao, and he is upset that he hasn’t gotten any.” Rei laughed.

“But he does not have a girlfriend like you two do, so what did he expect?” she giggled as Rei just shrugged his shoulders. “Hey Kai, have you gotten any chocolates yet?” she asked trying really hard not to blush and to keep the hope out of her voice.

“No.” he replied, and that one word took a huge load off of her shoulders. But then Daichi decided to pipe in saying that chocolates and Valentines were for “sissies” as he put it. Just as Daichi said this Max and Takao finished there match and decided to take a break.

“Well Daichi,” Hiromi started as she went over and got her bag, taking the five small boxes out. “If chocolates are for sissies then I guess you don’t want this.” she said waving the box with his name in front of his face.

“I did not mean it like that.” Daichi blushed trying to backtrack. But Hiromi just smiled and handed him the box. She then walked up to Rei and handed him one.

“Thanks.” he said giving her a peck on the cheek. She just blushed and proceeded to hand out the rest. She gave one to Kyouju who smiled and thanked her and then one to Max who gave her a great big hug in return. She then turned to Takao and held out a box to him. He just stood there shocked, but his shocked face slowly turned into a great big smile. He took the box and gave her a hug. He then went about jumping for joy.

“Yay! I got some!” He cheered, Max just looked at him and sweat dropped saying “Dude, its just giri-choko, its not honmei-choko. Relax.” but Takao kept smiling jumping saying “Who cares? Its Chocolate!”

Kai just stood there and waited, wondering where his was, she only brought five. He was slightly jealous, but he would never admit that out loud.

Hiromi then pulled out the larger one and took a deep breath before turning around and walking up to the 17 year old Russian, who currently had his arms crossed. Everyone else stopped what they were doing and watched as the brunette walked up to the stoic team captain, her head lowered to the ground. She lifted up the large box of chocolate and with a blush she said while staring at the ground.

“Here Kai, please accept this honmei-choko as well as my love.” She stood there stock still, her hands outstretched, chocolate in hand and head still bowed in embarrassment. Everyone’s eyes then turned to Kai to see what he would do.

Kai slowly outstretched his hand and took the chocolate. Hiromi’s arms then fell to her side, her face still down, afraid to see his reaction. Kai then walked up to Hiromi, until he was right infront of her, and lifted her chin so that she was looking him straight in the eyes.

“So?” She said a hopeful look in her ruby eyes. His only reply was a ‘Hn’ before he leaned down and kissed her. To say that Hiromi was shocked was an understatement, but she soon got over it and returned the kiss, putting her arms around his neck as his hands held her waist. When they finally came up for air, he rested his head against her forehead and looking into her eyes he whispered “I love you too.”

She was so excited that she screamed and jumped him, which caused them both to topple to the ground with Hiromi on top of him. The others finally got over there shock and started cheering and saying things like ‘Finally’, ‘Way to go.’ and ‘Took you long enough’.

Hiromi looked down at the Russian boy below her and pecked him on the lips.

“Happy Valentines Day Kai.” She said giving him a brilliant smile

“Happy Valentines Day Hiromi.” He replied before kissing her again.

Well that’s it!
