Hey all Vampire Knight fans, hope you will enjoy my latest VK fanfic. This was originally a one-shot but it was too long to be one so a chopped it into chapters. Please R&R, and NO FLAMES. Oh and I’m only as far in the series as Shojo Beat has gotten so please don’t spoil anything for me.
Chapter 1
“Hey you guys know the rules, no fighting on school rounds.” yelled Yuki Cross as she landed between Aido and another night class student, Artemis Rod draw.
“Ah Yuki, so nice of you to drop by.” said Aido happily “I was just showing my friend around that’s all.”
“Looked like fighting to me.” replied Yuki “And aren’t you two suppose to be in class?”
“President Kuran wanted me to show the new kid around, then we got into and argument that’s all.” said Aido as he took a few steps toward Yuki.
Yuki held the Artemis Rod closer, not taking her eyes off the vampire.
“Aido, just go back to class, same goes to you.” said Yuki to the two vampires.
The other night class student left, not really caring. Aido stood there, not moving, looking at Yuki.
“Aido…didn’t you hea-” she started
But Aido lunged at her taking a hold of the Artemis Rod. Yuki tried to pull it free, but failed.
“Let go Aido.” demanded Yuki, her voice sounding scared
Aido didn’t release the weapon, ice shards started to form on the part he was holding. The ice spread down the Artemis Rod, which forced Yuki to let go. Aido also released the weapon and it fell to the ground. Yuki dived for it; she quickly grabbed it and swung it at Aido’s ankles. A loud cracking sound could be heard echoing.
“No…please no.” whispered Yuki.
The Artemis Rod lay shattered around her. Aido, who had fallen, stood and limped away.
“Yuki! Are you alright?” called Zero as he ran up behind her.
Yuki was still kneeling on the grass, clutching the remaining part of her beloved weapon.
“Did he hurt you?” asked Zero as he kneeled next to her.
Yuki didn’t answer, the weapon that she cared for, the first one her “father” gave her, was gone.
“It’s gone Zero…Aido destroyed it.” she whispered
Zero looked around him and saw the shattered remains of Yuki’ beloved weapon.
“Yuki, go to the dorms, get some sleep, I’ll talk to the headmaster.” sighed Zero
Yuki nodded and stood. Zero took the remaining whole piece of the Artemis Rod from her before she left.
(Next Morning)
Yuki was sitting in the courtyard under a shady tree. There were no classes for both day and night classes today so everyone could relax.
“Yuki” said someone behind her
Yuki turned and watched as Zero sat next to her.
“Last night I was talking to Headmaster Cross, he said that the two of us can go into town to get you a new weapon.” He said “Both he and I don’t want you using the gun that I gave you.”
“Why?” asked Yuki
“I gave you that gun to kill me” replied Zero “And besides…the gun, it’s my thing.”
Yuki couldn’t help but smile.
(In town)
“So where is this weapon shop?” asked Yuki as she walked next to Zero.
“It’s some what hidden, you can only find it if you were really looking for it. Only Vampire hunters know its location.” replied Zero “My parents and Master took me there several times.”
Yuki and Zero were in normal clothing. Yuki wore a red plaid pleated skirt with a studded belt, black knee high boots, a white short sleeved blouse and she red sailor jacket over that. Zero wore a loose pair of dark gray jeans with pocket all over them a black long sleeve t-shirt and his trench coat.
“There it’s is.” said Zero as he pointed to a small dark shop.
Yuki stayed close and followed Zero in. Yuki gasped at the variety of weapons upon the walls and shelves.
“You look around, okay, I need to talk to the owner.” said Zero before he walked away.
Yuki walked towards a table full of pendants, some had a similar marking to Zero’s tattoo. While other had ones she had never seen before. Then she went past a shelf with daggers resting on stands, a half-hour later Yuki sighed in defeat.
“Face it Zero, I can’t find a good weapon.” Yuki sighed.
“But you need a weapon, to keep those vampires in there place.” sighed Zero.
“Maybe I can use something from the martial arts club or something, for now.” replied Yuki.
Zero sighed; he wasn’t going to argue with her. The two left the weapon shop and headed towards a restaurant to gat some lunch.
