I had a strong urge to write this for a very long time and I'm glad that I've finally posted a SaGa!! yay! Its truly random but, just abit, cute. ((sorry but Gaara is going to be a little bit OOC. well, sorryyy!!!T-T))

The Kazekage looked out the large windows, gazing upon the busy streets. It was that dreaded holdiday, Valentine's Day. Where everybody would give their loved ones gifts of flowers and chocolates. About a year has passed since his siblings were sent on a long-term mission to gather more information on Orochimaru, since it was rumored that he had the sources to start another great ninja war. Gaara was now 21 and wasn't feared, as much. Now, it was mostly because he was the Kazekage.

and held the darkness over day

He looked down upon the happy citizens, going back to his paperwork. It wasn't like nobody loved him. No, nothing like that. He, surprising to most, had a girlfriend. With the softest short pink hair and the deepest green eyes. But alas, she was in her village of Konoha so he was alone. Again. As always. He twitched. He could still hear the commotion below and feel the love and compassion between the people below. They merely taunted him. Nothing more.

Sakura sighed, her and her ANBU squad scanning through the trees. She was feeling really sad, noticing the date. Valentine's Day. It was the fifth day of their mission and they were supposed to be back in Konoha by now but, of course, Naruto had slowed them down because he claimed Konoha was in another direction. Shino dissagreed, since his bugs knew the way perfectly, especially in the thick woods. But, no. Naruto's thickheadedness got them lost. 'Great...' Sakura thought bitterly

Gaara had just hearded that Temari and Kankuro's mission has been delayed another year, only because, with the information they gathered, they'd have to impersonate shinobi and act like servants to Orochimaru. He sighed, putting a small box in a hidden drawer under his desk. It would be pretty boring around. Seeing as the lives of the office were going to be gone for a couple years and the third life of the office wouldn't be coming as often, seeing as she now had alot of missions since she was an ANBU captain.

Sakura gave them directions as she went her own path. She could probably make it, if she worked hard enough to run. They insisted that she took a sleeping pack, unconvinced she'd make it in time. She fingered her canteen, drinking it as she ran.

Gaara lazily laid on the couch. Yes, this is what the Kazekage did when he was bored. The training grounds were packed, paperwork was all signed, and he had nobody to talk to. Great.

"Kazekage-sama? May I come in?" His secretary meekly asked.

"Hai" He muttered, not bothering to open his eyes.

He heard the wooden chair, placed next to the couch, squeak under the pressure as she sat down.

"What do you want, Kita?" He mumbled, clearly annoyed.

"Gee, thanks!" A voice rang in his head. It wasn't his quiet secretary's for sure. She'd be fidgeting and stuttering, since she feared him greatly.

He shot up off the couch, opening his eyes. A pink-haired kunoichi's legs dangled over the chair arm.

"Is that any way to greet me?" She looked into his pale green eyes.

"Sakura" He whispered, grabbing her arms and pulled her to her feet.

"Yes...Gaara-kun..." Sakura replied, her hand in his hair. She forced his face to hers, lips making contact. They were like that for, atleast, ten minutes.

Sakura plopped on the couch as Gaara scurried to his desk drawer, she wasn't even noticing his absence.

He made his way to the couch, the velvet box hidden beneath the folds of his Kazekage robe.

"Marry me" Was all he said. Well, there was nothing more to be said.

I know, i know! The Valentine proposal crap is too cliché. But, I thought it was cute! At first, he wasn't going to, but then I said, "what the heck!" Besides, I don't see Gaara as the type to go down on one knee and ask! He's demanding! LOL.
