Author's Note: HIYA FOLKS!! Mysti Queen is back with yet another DBZ ficcy! For those of you who have read my last fic, Stuck on You, this story follows along present day Charisma's life. This time, however, I won't rely so closely on the events that take place during the show.

For those who haven't read my last fic, it's not necessary to read that fic to understand this one, since this fic is totally different from the last. So either way, I hope you guys enjoy. :DDD Well, time to insert that annoying disclaimer!

Disclaimer: Mysti Queen doesn't own DBZ or much of anything else. So no lawsuits, no angry mobs, none of that, okies? OKAY!!

With that out of the way, I'll stop blabbering and let you get to reading. Me hopes you likes and review. R&R!!

Chapter 1:

The Start of Something New

“She’s such a beautiful little girl,” a blue haired woman said. She stood in her yard talking to a blonde haired woman. The blonde wore her head up in a ponytail and had on a humble dress. “I have a little boy that’s about her age.”

“Thank you, Bulma,” the woman said, cradling her baby girl. “It was nice of you to invite me over to visit and to meet you. My husband is also a scientist. He’s always in that small lab of his, aspiring to be as great as your dad.”

Bulma smirked and looked back her father, who stood over by the house. “How much experience does your husband have?”

“A few years worth, I believe,” the lady replied, adjusting the baby in her arms. “He’s really amazing, but if he had the right training, I’m sure he would be stupendous.”

“I can talk to my father,” Bulma offered. “Maybe he’ll be willing to teach your husband a thing or two.”

The woman grinned and bowed in respect. “Thank you so much. I’m sure Mino would love that a lot.” The baby began to cry and the mother shushed her softly. “Well, I’d better get going. It’s about time for Charisma’s nap. Give me a call and my husband will be over whenever your father is ready.”

“Of course, Kaylei,” Bulma agreed. “I’ll see you soon then.”

Kaylei crossed the street and turned at the corner, heading toward her house about a block away. She rocked her baby in her arms and the girl began to fall asleep.

Flashback

“You told me that you live around here, didn’t you?” Bulma asked.

Charisma nodded and pointed in the direction. “It’s a small house a block away from here. Turn the corner and you’ll be able to see it no problem. It’s a cozy little place.”

“I’m glad I’ll still get to meet you, Charisma,” Bulma said sadly.

“Yeah,” Charisma agreed. “I’m still a baby in this age, but at least I’ll have the chance to know you for all my life, Bulma.”

End of Flashback

Bulma turned around to face the house. “…I’m glad you can still be part of my life after all, friend…”

Kaylei arrived at the house and placed her baby in the crib. The small baby blue and pink room was alive with pictures of ducks and butterflies and deer on the walls.

“Have a nice nap, Charisma,” Kaylei said sweetly, kissing her daughter’s forehead. “Soon, we’ll be able to afford a bigger house, just like the one Bulma has. It’s not an easy life right now, but as soon as your father finds a good, stable job, then we’ll be okay.”

Charisma slept peacefully as her mother exited the room. She informed her husband of the offer Bulma gave him and he accepted it gladly. Bulma called a few hours later to let them know that everything was going to work out.

“I can’t wait,” Charisma’s father Mino said, hugging onto his wife. “I’ll finally get the dream job I’ve always wanted.”

“They’re a really nice family,” Kaylei told him. “They’ve even got a little boy around Charisma’s age. I have a feeling we’re going to be friends for a long time.”
