The gang gets jobs as waiters and waitresses at a formal place where people book parties.

“This is one heck of a party. Almost all the guests are dancing and most women who are dancing took their shoes off,” said Lily. They all needed summer jobs and Robbie scored them all high paying ones.

“This DJ sucks. I think they shoulda hired Smog,” said Parker, eyeing Travis.

“Haha, you’re hilarious,” said Travis sitting on an empty cart.

“Hey, this is a party. People are supposed to dance,” said Ray, dancing around the boss who waved his hand to get Ray to leave him alone.

“Grace, where’d you’re shoes go?” asked Robbie, as they were taking the second course plates back to get ready for the third.

“I took them off. Lily let me borrow a pair of her’s because I didn’t have any, but they were three sizes too small,” Grace said.

“I suggest you buy some, if we’re gonna be working here all summer,” said Robbie, laughing at the three sizes too small bit.

“What you want me to waste the money I make her on a pair of ugly shoes?” asked Grace, jokingly.

“I might help when someone spills chicken on the floor and you step on it,” said Ray.

“Ray, you don’t spill chicken on the floor, you drop it. Man, those shoes really are ugly!” said Travis.

“Hey, those are my shoes!” said Lily, punching Travis in the arm.

“It’s not like you picked them out yourself, something that hideous only a blind grandmother can pick out,” said Travis and Ray and him bumped knuckles at the joke. Ray was laughing at it, which earned them both punches in the arm by Lily.

“I picked those out, you jerks,” Lily said.

“Well, I don’t want to be left out so I might as well take off my shoes,” said Parker, kicking one in the air and catching it with her left hand, “Still got it.” Robbie laughed.

“Look, I’m breaking down to peer pressure,” said Robbie, removing his shoes and throwing them in the corner with all the other ones.

“If you can’t confuse ‘em, join ‘em,” said Ray, obviously messed up what he was saying and he, too, kicked his shoes into the ever growing pile in the corner.

“Always follow your friends,” said Travis, removing his shoes and throwing them so they hit the wall and fell into the pile.

“You should be a baseball player,” said Lily.

“And who says I’m not?” asked Travis joking around.

“Randi, as you’re friend I advise you to join the shoeless freaks and remove that garbage off your feet,” said Parker.

“McGrath, Brendan, and Blondie, get over here,” said the boss.

“Travis, get those shoes off her,” said Parker. And Travis got leaned over her so in two inches he was going to be on top of her.

“Parker, the shoes,” said Travis, tickling her.

“Yes, score team Travis and Parker,” said Parker, tossing the last pair of shoes in the pile.

“Hey, you got her shoes off. How?” asked Ray, as he, Robbie and Grace rejoined them.

“The Zen art of … tickling,” said Travis.

“Aww… Party’s over,” said Grace. Most people left, but the family of honor and a few friends stayed.

“Come on crew, join in!” yelled the guest of honor. Ray and Grace started dancing and Robbie and Parker started doing the robot.

“Dance with me?” asked Travis, a little nervous of her answer.

“Sure,” said Lily. Before they knew it, they were grinding and dancing Travis’ chest to Lily’s back.

“Party is over. Apparently, it’s three A.M.” said the guest of honor.

“Let’s get our shoes and split,” said Parker on a sugar rush.
