Summary: Temari sings a song to her little brothers and her dad.
DISCAIMER: I DO NOT OWN NARUTO!!!! OR THIS SONG!!! The song ‘Gomenasai’ belongs to T.A.T.U. and Naruto belongs to Masashi Kishimoto-sama!
CLAIMER: I won this idea, my betty-boop t-shirt, and the Temari costume I made for Halloween!
NOW ON WITH THE SHOW…….er, FANFIC!!!
I am Sabaku no Temari, Temari, Mari or Tema for short. My friends call me Tema, and my younger brothers, Kankuro and Gaara, call me Mari-chan. My school is holding a talent show, so I decided to enter.
“You sure you wanna do this, Tema?” my pink-haired best friend Sakura Haruno asked, chewing on one of her fingernails.
“Yes, Saku, I’m gonna- no, I HAVE to do this!” I said, nervously playing with my sandy-blond hair.
“W-well, g-good l-luck, T-Tema!” my indigo-haired second best friend, Hinata Hyuuga, stuttered.
“Thanks, Hina.” I said, getting up when my name was called, picked up my black guitar, and hugging my two best friends.
As I walked out onto the stage, I scanned the crowd, looking for three people: Gaara, Kankuro, and him. I hadn’t called him my dad since I was about four years old, when he first started beating me. Mostly because I stood up to him when he hurt Gaara, weather physically or emotionally, or because I looked so much like my dead mother, Karura.
“Okay folks! You ready to have your worlds rocked by the Sand Princess? Good! This song is dedicated to my two younger brothers, Gaara and Kankuro! Hope you guys like it!” I yelled, as I began to play.
“What I thought wasn't mine
In the light
Was a one of a kind,
A precious pearl
When I wanted to cry
I couldn't cause I
Wasn't allowed
Gomenasai for everything
Gomenasai, I know I let you down
Gomenasai till the end
I never needed a friend
Like I do now
What I thought wasn't all
So innocent
Was a delicate doll
Of porcelain
When I wanted to call you
And ask you for help
I stopped myself
Gomenasai for everything
Gomenasai, I know I let you down
Gomenasai till the end
I never needed a friend
Like I do now
What I thought was a dream
A mirage
Was as real as it seemed
A privilege
When I wanted to tell you
I made a mistake
I walked away
Gomenasai, for everything
Gomenasai, Gomenasai, Gomenasai
I never needed a friend,
Like I do now
Gomenasai, I let you down
Gomenasai, Gomenasai,
Gomenasai till the end
I never needed a friend
Like I do now……….”
I ended the song with a chord, and then took my bows.
“THANK YOU EVERYONE, AND HAVE A GOOD NIGHT!!” I yelled over the roaring of the crowd.
When I got back stage, I was tackled into a hug by both Gaara and Kankuro.
“Guys, guys, calm down!” I said laughing, as I hugged then pried my brothers off me. Then came the hard part: facing him, the man I hated most in the world.
“So, what did ya think, huh, old man?” I snapped, glaring at him, wishing he would just drop dead right then and there.
“Heh, pretty good,” he sneered, “for an armature whore!” he growled.
“What the FUCK did you just say to me, you BASTARD?” I snarled, cracking my knuckles, menacingly.
“I called you a worthless—“ and that’s as far as he got, well before he ended up in the hospital, that is.
Yes, I pummeled my own father into a bloody pulp, and I’m damn proud of it!
“Let’s go home guys.” I said, linking arms with my brothers, and walking home.
A/N: Did you like? I hope you did, please R&R!
Till next time,
Ja ne, my lovely readers!
Sincerely,
Temari Sabaku Nara. (A.k.a. Tema-chan!)
