Summary: A new kid just moves into town and his name is Dylan. It doesn't take him long to become best friends with Gordie,Chris,Teddy and Vern. But what happens when one day they discover that Dylan was hanging out with Ace and his gang? Why was he? Who's side will Dylan take in the fight for the cobra's revenge? And who will his true friends be in the end?

A/N : I know it's not that good a chapter but it will get way better.Trust me. It is just a chapter so you can get to know a little about Dylan and just know how everything happened and stuff.So please read,reveiw,and enjoy!

Chapter 1 :

Dylan's POV:

" Ma' are we almost there already i'm frigging board!" I complained.

" In a little while we will be there Dylan dear and if you're board just look at the beautiful view out your window." My mother persisted.

" Okay mom number one don't call me dear,..number two what's so beautiful about trees,rocks,and dirt!" I stated loudly.

She gave me a look the I just mumbled "Sorry" under my breath then slumped down in the passengers seat of the car and I thought I don't have anything better to do so I went to sleep...

"Wake-up honey were here!" My mother said while shaking me trying to get me up from my sleep.

" I'm up , i'm up!" I said tiredly as I got up.

I stepped out of the car to look around I saw a little,quiet street with old faded pavement lined with houses on both sides, and a few streets down there was a small town.

" Oh ya mom this isn't going to be one bit different than New York." I said sarcastically.

" Now you listen to me Dylan just because there's some change in your life doesn't mean you can be saucy and talk down to me."

" Ya' I now I didn't mean to be but I left everything ya' know the Summer just started and I had to leave all my friends so it's hard." I said doing a voice as if I was getting upset.

" I know honey it's hard but change can be good sometimes." She said trying to cheer me up since I was "Sad".

" I was thinking Dylan dear that maybe to cheer you up you can walk down to that little town a few streets down and get some dinner and just look around abit get to know the place better." She said.

" That sounds great mom but I got to take my bags in and start to set up my room and everything..." I said disapointedly.

" Don't worry about that Dylan I will take in your bags and i'll set up your bed,and he's some money for at the diner. Now just go and have some fun on your first day in Castle Rock." She said.

" Thanks mom!" I said as I started towards the road...

I got half way down my long,narrow street when I realized I might look totally different than everyone else in this town then I thought to myself lets see i'm fourteen turning fifteen in five months, I have black hair,blue eyes,and lightly tanned skin and i'm wearing faded jeans,a black t-shirt and a jean-jacket with the sleeves cut out. Well, I look discent enough in my point of veiw.

After going down a few little side streets I was in the little town. There wasn't much to it,..the main part of the town was just one long street lined with stores on both sides so I decided to start down the left side first and look for a diner to eat at. I walked down the street trying not to slouch but I couldn't help putting my hands in my pockets.Bad habit. After walking a few stores down I came across a diner that was called the "Blue Point Diner" and it didn't look that bad so I went in.

I pushed the door open and the little bell-thing clinged lightly and I went and sat in a corner booth by myself and thought how stupid I look doing so.

I sat down and stared at the menu blankly,.. at least they serve hamburgers and fries here I thought. I was to busy thinking that I barely noticed that footsteps and voices were getting liuder,like a couple people were walking towards me,.. oh my god!..they are. For a person who has a pretty good build for their age and who isn't a whimp I was pretty scared,..scared of being jumped...

All of a sudden four people were sitting around me at my booth and of course I don't know them or why they are sitting around me? Did they not even notice I was sitting here?

Before I could have anymore thoughts they all started talking to me.

"Hey." They all said in unison.

"Hi?" I said in response not knowing what to say really.

"You must be the new kid in town,..my name is Chris this is Teddy,Gordie,and Vern." He said while pointing to them as he said their names.

" Mind if we sit here while we eat?" Chris asked me.

"Nah' I don't mind go ahead." I said. I was shocked how comftorable I was with people I just meet one minute ago.

" Ya' know you're not that bad,you could talk a little more though." Teddy said.

" Ya' i'm pretty quiet around people I don't know that much." I said with a grin.

After awhile we started talking and were deep in conversation,I was acting like I knew them my whole life. We ordered our food,ate it and talked between bites and then they got up and said they better go,they asked me if I wanted to go hang out for a bit but it was my first day here and I wasn't supposed to be gone too long and I explained that to them.They understood.Just as Chris and them turned around to leave I said "Hey Chris,..does this mean were all like friends or something?"

" Ya',..why not."He paused second then said " As long as you can put up with Teddy." He said sarcastically.

" Hey! There's nothing wrong with me!" Teddy exclaimed,..he sounded childish.

" There's nothing wrong with you it's just, theres nothing right with you." Gordie exclaimed. We all left then we headed in opposite directions down the sidewalk.

It was past sunset so I decided to take a short cut home, with this I just had to walk down a short street on the outskirts of town rather than walk down three streets the same length.

I was halfways down that road when this black car crowded with people started to slow down beside me...
