Chapter 1: consequences

She woke up with a headache, nauseas, and a very bad memory, it had been a month since it had happened, she and Jack, together, now she feared for the worst, she stood up and went to the bathroom and sat there for a moment until her mother called for her

“Kate, honey? You are going to be late for school”

“I’m coming” Kate said

She got dressed and hurried downstairs, then after a quick bite of her mom’s bread she was on the way to school.

“hi” Claire told her at school “how you doing?”

“well, I guess ok” she said weakly

“spill” Claire demanded

“we have to go to class” she said and walked away

it was lunch time, she was sitting with Claire and Shannon on a bench, when Jack walked by “hi girls” he said

“I might be pregnant” she said

“You want me to go with you?” he asked holding her hand
