Author's Notes: This is my first short piece that I finished in one day. I'm usually so busy so I decided a poem would be refreshingly brief for a change. This is a little poem from (you fill in the blank) to (you fill in the blank).

Dearest,
Don't think that I hate you
I don't
It's just that
I can't commit
I hoped you knew
Of the telltale silence
The words that needn't be said
Our silent agreement
Always kept me on a leash
With you on the other end
It doesn't matter where I stray
Or what challenges I decide to take on
You will always know
How I feel
But don't say it out loud
It will ruin everything
You want me to say it?
If you insist
Fine
I love you

End.
